The breakfast was lovely and a good bargain for €10! Fresh fruit and yogurt, bread & butter, fresh cooked eggs to your individual liking, and coffee and juice. All in a clean, quiet space to start your day off slowly and peacefully. The staff/owners also were so friendly and helpful. They were keen for a good chat and also to help me with my bags up and back down the typical steep and narrow Dutch stairs! Also the location is amazing. Tucked into a residential side street for peace & quiet, yet just a short stroll away from the Vondelpark and lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars.
Can't think of any negatives! :)

I loved my one- night stay and would have enjoyed more time here! I had an overnight layover and was able to take the bus easily from the airport to a nearby stop that was just a few minutes walk to the hotel. The area and hotel itself were quiet and safe, and there were restaurants and several transport options close by. My room looked like the advertised photos and description; it was clean and bright, and I appreciated the fan and large window to cool down in the evening. Yes, the stairs are steep and narrow, but they were easy to manage with my backpack. The evening and morning staff were friendly and helpful, and I really liked the breakfast (for an additional but reasonable rate). Thank you so much for a great stay!

Great little spot if you’re looking to stay in a calm, nice part of Amsterdam. It’s in a fantastic location that’s a walking distance to great cafés, a big park with a beer garden, museums, and high-end shopping. You’re also just 3 minutes away from tram lines 2 and 12, which get you to the city center quickly. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming. Everyone made the place feel warm and personal. Just note: there’s no elevator, so the stairs could be an issue for some. If you want breakfast, make sure to request it the day before.
A few things to be aware of: I didn’t get a towel during my stay, and there’s no parking or air conditioning. Minor things, but good to know in advance.

We stayed at Hotel Verdi on the last night of our trip before we flew home, I wished we would have stayed here at the beginning of our trip as the hotel, staff, and location were wonderful. The staff at the hotel were so nice and helpful. There is no elevator in the building and our room was on the top floor, but they helped carry our luggage up the very steep and narrow stairs. The room was a good size, not huge but not tiny either, comfortable for my daughter and me. The bed was the most comfortable out of the 3 hotels we stayed at on our travels, but only 1 pillow on each bed. There was no closet or armoire so just be aware that space for any storage is limited. Bathroom was on the smaller side but still comfortable. Our flight home wasn't until late afternoon but they gladly stored our luggage so we could enjoy the city before we left and called us a taxi when it was time to go to the airport. The biggest bonus was the little kitten that is a resident-Suni, so cute and made me happy to get kitty cuddles as I missed my cats at home terribly. The location of the hotel was wonderful, close to the museums and just a lovely neighborhood. Easily walkable to the city center. I would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel Verdi is really convenient for the museums. It is a 5-minute walk from the Museumplein stop. You can get to the hotel easily by tram number 2, which goes to the station and goes through the centre of the city. We only stayed one night, but the woman who greeted us immediately offered to hold our luggage at the check out, so we could go and visit the museums. Our room was on the second floor, in a old building which had traditional Dutch stairs (no elevator). This information was included in the hotel's details, so we were prepared. The room was spacious, with a comfortable little balcony, a good bed and a kettle on the desk. The bathroom was small, but it was fine for one night. All in all, we had a nice stay.
The interior of the room is a little dated. The sink was marred by an indelible stain and the shower had a fixed, small, high shower head. A little uncomfortable.

Quaint and cozy. Felt like being a guest with a local. The best night sleep I’ve have on our trip due to the bed. Lovely neighborhood convenient to transportation options, museums, parks and restaurants.
While we found the inconveniences charming, some might not. The stairs are narrow and steep, the bathroom small and dim. But truly, the room had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

The location of hotel was perfect for our visit. It was so easy to get to from the airport. The directions on the booking.com ad were excellent as far as which bus to take. Note: you have to buy tickets for the bus/trams before you ride but there is a kiosk right there at the airport to do so. We walked easily to both Rijkmiseum and Van Gogh museum. An easy 5-10 minute tram to the centre /red light district. The neighborhood seems mostly residential and was super quiet. There is a grocery store close to the tram stop with lots of options for meals on the run. The hotel is clean. The room was spacious. And the beds were comfortable enough. Our flight arrived early and I had requested that we could drop off our bags which was kindly accommodated. We were also granted an early check in - I think we looked pretty exhausted from the travel so I was really grateful for that. Breakfast was also good and fresh made each morning. Thank you to all the staff who were very pleasant!!
This is not a dislike at all because we were fully prepared both by the booking.com ad, the reviews and a message from the hotel just want to be clear that when they warn you about the stairs being steep- they are not joking. We managed just fine being in 3rd floor and my husband has some difficulty with mobility. Staff carried our bags up the first day for us. And by day 2 we were fine with the stairs.

The staff were so helpful, they allowed me to leave my baggage after check out while I explored the city before my flight out of Amsterdam. They warned before hand about the steep flight of stairs, which I appreciated as they have concerns about practicality of taking large luggage upstairs (I had carry-on). The staff were friendly, and willingly answered questions I had. Room was spotless, and location was right near tram and bus lines that take you directly to central station AND the airport! Also, bed was really comfy!
Only the staircase, this may prove a big issue for some guests, my big feet made it difficult but I was able to manage by taking extra caution😊

My single room was very comfortable. Comfortable bed, sink in the room as well as kettle. They even gave me plate and utensils since due to allergies I had my own breakfast (which I brought myself from store). It is what it says in the description. Theres separate shower and toilet in the corridor. I didn't have to queue for them and they were clean. The stairs are very steep but I knew it beforehand and I had light baggage anyway. The location was perfect for me as it was next to most interesting museums in Amsterdam. I was also allowed to leave my luggage on the day of check out ns come pick it when I left the city to another destination.

The staff were incredibly friendly and communicative. We felt really welcomed. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with basic facilities. The hotel was a short walk from where we needed to be and is also close to shops and tourist attractions.
Be prepared for a traditional steep, narrow Amsterdam staircase for rooms on higher floors. There was no sanitary bin in the bathroom. Sockets were a bit far from the bed.
