Liked the level of trust that we were shown as guests. A fellow guest let us in when we arrived, and we found the envelope with our name and the key to our cabin. The staff members we met were attentive but not overly so, and made us feel very much at home in this wonderful old vessel. 'Old' was the word - it's a proper old wooden boar, and a bit rough round the edges, a bit worn, with no pretences. The four members of our adult family found the cabin a bit of a squeeze, and ia ladder would have been helpful to get in and out of the upper bunks. The beds were perfectly comfortable and bedding clean. The shower/toilet was the smallest I'd ever seen, but worked fine and there was plenty of hot water for us all. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - a huge variety to suit all tastes, and guests were left to help themselves to as much as they wanted. We chatted with fellow guests, who came from a variety of countries, including our own, England. The icing on the cake was waking up to a glorious blue sky and wonderful sunlit views of the city over the sparkling water. All in all, it felt very much like an old-fashioned youth hostel, and we loved it!

Hard to say. It was an old wooden boat and showed it - a bit scruffy and worn - as you'd expect. The fixtures and fittings were the originals, and it showed. The fittings in the shower room were old and dated - but they worked, which was the main thing. If we'd wanted shiny and modern we could have gone to a hotel , but we wouldn't have had such good memories.

Interesting experience, we like that the boat actually swam and changed locations - thx to that we visited Zaandam and iconic windmills of Zaanse Schans :)

The cabins are tiny so be prepared. Requires some tactic then changing or bathing with 2 people inside 😅

Location is top notch. Sven, the staff at the time was really friendly and helpful. Check in, check out is eazy, without any problems. The rooms are decently clean, with beds that are narrow, minimalistic, but comfy. The whole feeling is like a bungalow in a camping. We were afraid that the rooms would not be warm enough in february, but the heating is totally good. The breakfast you get is also decent, but do not expect anything fancy. It's food nevertheless. At the time (february 2024) the price to value ratio was unbeatable. We, as students were satisfied, as we were expecting something like this.

The cabin for two is very small, but for only sleeping its totally fine. For taller or overweight people it might be difficult to move conveniently. The walls are quite thin, so if there are loud guests or slamming doors, you can hear them. Smells in the harbour can be strong, but on the boat you usually don't smell them. Also there was no butter at the breakfast, which is strange, but one can live without it.

- Location: near Central station and Nemo museum - Actual ship experience: it was convenient, that boat moves to Zaandam once a week for a couple days, as we wanted to also visit this city - Cleanliness: you can't expect a perfection from an old boat, but everything was freshly cleaned - Host: Sven is a cool and funny guy, you can always ask him for an advice, what to visit or where to buy, or just chat and play a round of Uno - Breakfast: Sven is waking up at 7am to milk a cow, fry pancakes and pick up oranges for the juice, which his friend brings him from Toscana :) Although it's not quite true, the breakfast is ok. We're on the boat, so it's not very diverse, but it serves it's purpose to make you full

Actually there was nothing, I could describe as negative. But you definetely have to take into account, that you book a living boat: - Rooms are very tight. You just have enough space to place your luggage and go from bed to bathroom, no extras - Bathroom is extremely tight. It's a bit challenging to properly take a shower at less than 1m^2 of space - You can hear anything, what happens in other rooms, the walls are very thin - You have to take in mind, that the ship changes its location sometimes. But no worries, you'll get the exact plan of mooring locations and times

Well maintained room, compact but everything you needed was there including toilet and shower for the cabin. The location was a little further away from where it is often doecked near the science musueam but we made the most of it. The continental breakfast was a good way to start each day; partner was very pleased with the pancake breakfast. The host Sven was wonderful and friendly.

The only real issue is at the time we were staying the boat was further out than usual. The beds were not super comfortable but more than adequate for sleeping on. Can't really fault too much for the price we paid.

Everything was great, however on our last evening, you had two or three rooms booked out to a bunch of guys. They arrived at midnight and were drunk and playing music and were really loud for about an hour. They then left and came home at 5 am in the morning the same thing singing being really loud and drunk. We had booked this accommodation because it mentioned you do not take bachelor/bachelorette parties. We had tried to avoid this kind of clientele so that we could sleep… We did not sleep that night.

The breakfast was fairly basic, cereals, bread, ham cheese but was sufficient. The lounge area was nice to chill in. And it's a different experience compared with staying in a hotel.

I have stayed on boats before and expected small rooms but you should be aware of this in case you are expecting luxury. It isn't like this it is quite basic. My partner was a little shocked at the size of the room, even though I'd warned her before it would be small. But bear in mind it is a cheaper option than staying in a hotel it was more than adequate for a couple of nights.

We had a very comfortable stay, loved being on a boat, very appropriate for a city with so much water, bedrooms were basic but comfortable. Staff very friendly A very good breakfast.

Be prepared for the fact the boat moves mooring and might not be where you left it! We did find the new mooring easily but it was over half an hour out of the town, a great opportunity to see a bit more of the area and a bonus boat trip in the morning.

The boat was located a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Lovely location on the river. The room was small, as described, but for a solo traveller, it was perfect. I didn't spend much time in the room, just a place to drop my rucksack and sleep (I booked a 1 night stay). I found the bed very comfortable and wasn't disturbed by any noise. The bathroom (with toilet, sink and shower) was also small, as described, but clean. After a late night, I really needed a couple of extra hours of sleep, so I rang the staff asking if it would be possible to check out later. They said it was fine, but the ship was moving to another place (Zaandam - 2 stops away on the intercity train) so I'd have to be OK with getting myself back. I was grateful to stay on board for a couple of extra hours while the ship moved. All in all, a great experience!

Everything was great.
