Room clean and tidy with coffee machine great location ideal hotel for a few days in Amsterdam

About 35 min walk from central station or catch the tram around the corner which makes the journey about 10-15 mins. Two bike hire shops very close by including the hotel's hire option. Big shower - with movable shower head. Quiet and comfortable. Very friendly and informative reception staff. Very quick response to email questions. The bus stop to the airport is only a short walk away which is ideal.

I wanted milk for my tea - in the room, but there was only creamer. The hotel only offers bike rental with a 50 euro cash deposit, but I didn't want to take cash out, so they advised going to a local very close by shop. The information was very helpful.

The room was perfect. There were four of us and this room on the top floor had four beds. (perfect, right?) The front desk gals spoke perfect english and were very helpful and accommadating. We would stay here again, no problem.

There is no elevator. We had five bags for a 14-day cruise! 5-bags went up in the afternoon and 5-bags came down in the morning. On the way down, the four of us formed a fire line, so Dad did not die in the bag transfer. Makes sense there was no elevator because of the historical naute of the building, it just caught me off guard.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. They didn't mind us using the small lobby for sitting and visiting since there wasn't space in the rooms for that. The rooms were clean and kept up. The beds were comfortable. Our room had very high ceilings but that was not the case in our friends' rooms. Bathroom and shower were good. We rented bikes from the hotel which was convenient. The location is very good for public transportation and for walking to key attractions.

Nice old fashioned building, a bit quirky but overall nice and clean, the room we had wasn’t the best view but the room itself was nice and tidy, would be nice to open a window as our room was a fixed window. The bathroom was nice, and shower warm and powerful. The room had coffee making facilities but no tea in room, tho at reception you can help yourself to tea bag’s and they have a hot drink machine too. The staff are friendly and helpful. Not too far to walk into centre I would stay again in the future

It is a reasonably comfortable hotel in a nice location (while not super central I actually ended up preferring the neighborhood to the Amsterdam historical centre). The AC in the room worked wonderfully and was very refreshing during a bit of a late-summer heatwave. Bathroom, while small, was clean and nice, beds were comfortable and the mounted TV could be paired with your phone for watching YouTube from bed. Visually it looked like we might have a balcony but we were not able to open the doors (did not ask about this during our stay). Also the giant horse picture on the wall was funny and brought some soul into an otherwise pretty simple room. I also appreciated being able to leave my luggage behind for almost the entire day as I had a late-night flight.

While there is a sign in the bathroom about towels (the usual "on the rack = keep, on the floor = change") we had our towels changed every day regardless. I don't understand the point of the sign then. Room service also threw out my belongings (wooden cutlery set) and threw out what they deemed was garbage despite the items not being in the rubbish bin. That was very frustrating to me as I really liked my wooden cutlery set. I informed reception about this and heard nothing back. The hotel itself is a bit of a maze of stairs and corridors so definitely not a place for people with mobility issues. Lastly, you have to re-login to the wifi every time you use it (it is not well secured).

Great location out of the main tourist areas but within an easy walk to everything. The hotel is right around the corner from the bus stop to/from the airport, there's a supermarket next door, and plenty of restaurants down the street adjacent to the massive park and green space. All the main attractions are within 20mins walk through the canals. Our room was in the basement and was a bit dark without natural light, but was large and had a good size bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is in a very good location, 5 minutes from the center (literally), and far enough to not be in the middle of all the crowded streets of Amsterdam. The place is nice, and the room was clean. The heating didn't seem to work, but the building was well isolated and we were just fine.

The room missed a couple of basics, like a nightstand or a small light to read in the bed without bothering anyone. Besides that, nothing was really bad. The WIFI works weird and you have to turn it off/on after joining to make it work, but it was not the end of the world.

The property was clean and comfortable, great location and the hotel staff were beyond lovely & helpful. I would love to give a shout out to one of the ladies who served us at the front desk but I didn’t catch her name! She gave us thorough recommendations, helped us decide what we wanted to do on our site seeing, and booked our activities for us. She was an absolute pleasure.

I thought that the place was great but probably needed a bit of updating as it was very dated, however, that didn’t affect our stay

The location of this hotel is superb. Its in a fabulous area with great cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby. The cost of our room was very reasonable. Our room was very clean and at the back of the hotel and on the ground floor. This hotel has 24/7 reception which for two women travelling alone, really gave us comfort. The receptionist was excellent, very friendly and gave us great advice about were we could go to eat and shop - thank you.

Our bathroom was freezing, though it was a very cold weekend. The heating system is through an air con unit so a bit noisy and had to go off.
