We loved the archive and the retro arcade!!! Omg it felt so nostalgic and they had a great collection of New and old games. You could even play on the dreamhack. It was a gamer nerds dream!! And the Staff was super nice and the rooms quite affordable. The location of the hotel was super central, near the Albert Cyups street and great food nearby.

The arcade is not very well climatized in summer, so it feels like a sauna in there. Even though we loved it, we couldnt stay very long in here. Though the rooms were nice, the Walls were thin and you know it with gamers.. the guest do play until 3 o clock in tje night and were super Loud. You dont come here to get a good night sleep but to play. Still i wished that some of our room neighbours would be more considerate to other guests.... not so excellent

We booked this hotel as a treat for our two gaming-loving sons, and in particular as a treat for our 9 year old's birthday. We really can't fault the place! The second you walk in you're smacked with nostalgia from the vast selection of PS1, PS2 and other retro games. The reception area also has vintage desk games, and there is a brilliant retro arcade room available to use for a small additional fee. The room was Batman themed and we had a lovely little covered balcony. The towels were a bit frayed but I loved the eco ethos of the hotel so didn't care. The staff are SO lovely and welcoming, even leaving an awesome surprise in our room for my son's birthday when all we asked for was a few balloons (they printed off Star Wars themed birthday greetings and stuck them on the walls, put loads of balloons on the bed and left some treats. He was SO happy!). I loved the De Pijp area it's in. We pretty much walked everywhere and the daily market up the road is lovely. Highly recommend.

That my son burst into tears on the train back because he missed it already!

it was a very nice and calm hotel. It had fun game consoles in every room. you were able to grab a game downstairs to play. Super cool! Also very good location with public transportation around the corner. The staff was super friendly! I would definitely come again :)

Sadly the room wasn’t cleaned to properly. The room had glass on the floor which cut my foot open and there was a piece of bread/food under the bed from the previous guests…

Location is great. 30mins walk from Central Station. Arrived very early and stored bags at hotel while we explored the neighbourhood until check in at 3pm. Booked small double room on 4th floor, it was a small room just as advertised, bathroom was nice and modern with a hairdryer, bodywash and shampoo/conditioner combo. Shower had normal shower head and a rainshower shower head. Cool led lights in bathroom aswel as regular light. The weather during our stay was very warm and there was standing fan and ceiling fan to help us stay cool in the room. The velux window had black out blind which helped with morning sun waking us and flat roof outside the window which was great for placing our shoes out on at night (no smelly shoe smell in room) Room was freshened up twice during our 3 night stay and towels replaced. There are hangers and hooks on door for clothes and a small work bench and chair. The lift in the hotel was cool and retro, covered in pokemon cards. The reception area was cosy and outside area to the back was relaxing place to have a drink. Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt very safe there as you need key card to gain entry to the hotel. Never heard any other guests in their rooms. Didn't have breakfast at hotel. The entire interior design is cool. Such a pleasant stay here and will definitely return.

Rooms, clean, bike service

Couldn't smoke weed in hotel outdoor area, think this is the only thing which is a negative. Not sure if it is down to local laws or needing a license, but if it's just a choice made by the hotel, then maybe think about relaxing that rule.

I got a free room upgrade from the start, from single room to small double room, due to a Black Friday deal and my genius badge on booking. During my stay, I had what I needed, the bed was super comfortable, the room was warm, I had eco toiletries and towels included, the staff was super friendly and nice with me from the beginning, bringing me the food to my door, talking on whatsapp when needed. What I also liked was the possibility to choose the items in your breakfast and that you could choose that the staff brings it to your door. You could also choose 2 games from the reception and play them in your room (if you're a gamer) or just watch Netflix on the TV. Also, the measures taken in these crazy times with covid cases rising, they had health measures, desinfectant gel even in the elevator, online checkin to avoid contact, talking via whatsapp (but also reception 24/7), all these small details that actually in the end matter a lot. For me, they mattered a lot, as my stay was a bit special, I had to quarantine in my room and to extend my stay. Great times. But I am so happy I chose to stay at this hotel. The staff speaks English very good (so refreshing) and there are small jokes and puns everywhere which put a smile on your face. The location of the hotel is great as well, very nice neighborhood and a park just across the street. Another plus, the warm croissant and baguette and coffee in the breakfast. These topped everything else included in the breakfast for me. Thank you, Steve, Dan, Pedro and the rest of the team, for everything! I hope to see you again in better times!

The room was quite small, but I am aware that the Dutch rooms are generally like that and that the hotel staff cannot really influence that, so I don't complain. Maybe would be nice to include in the breakfast the possibility to choose a sandwich (with ham & cheese), instead of so many sweet stuff?

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and room was nicely decorated. The atmosphere around the lobby and other guests was very welcoming.

What didnt i like? I didnt like having to go home lol. Got nothing bad to say about this place. Maybe you might be put off by how far away it is from the center? Its super easy and cheap to get trams. Just ask the staff and they will help

Super fun hotel! Very on theme, I've never seen anything like that. Loved the elevator, the staff was very kind and they have cats!! The arcade itself is a very good time and you can also bring some games with you to the room. We also had a huge window in the room with a great view. The position is absolutely amazing! The hotel itself is in front of a gorgeous park and it's super connected. The rooms are tiny but very cozy.

It was quite dusty, especially under the bed and our bathroom door was messed up when we arrived and it kept getting messed up.

Absolutely loved the Arcade. Chilled vibes, plenty of things to do after a long day adventuring Amsterdam with the central city just 15 mins on the tram. Plenty of old school gaming and memorabilia in the reception and arcade room. High end pc room if you are a dab hand with keyboard and mouse. We had a bit of a long day travelling from belfast as Schiphol was a disaster to get through, so getting to the hotel was great but unfortunately there was a problem with our room, I think it had been double booked but a couple of really nice guys had us sorted with a bed for the night in a hotel down the street and when we came back the next day they really looked after us and made sure we had a great stay with a bottle of bubbles waiting in our room. There is a terrace out the back with nice garden, the coffee was fab and the lift was really cool! The room was small but enough space to have somewhere to sit and get comfy. The bed was 1st class and the bathroom was really cool with RGB lighting, I also really appreciated the fan in the room, it was on most of the time. All in all, we loved the concept of the arcade hotel and the generosity and kindness that the staff provide. We will defintely be back! Thanks guys!

Shortage of toilet roll but all you have to do is ask and you receive! A mini fridge would put the cherry on top for the room but buckets of ice can be provided!

the breakfast was really nice with a lot of options for everyone, and the free tea and coffee before 11am was good. the staff were helpful and polite and the property had cats outside which were really cute :)

the size of our room wasn't great however we were on a budget and out most of the day so it didn't really matter, however the bed was really comfortable. also, the drain in the shower was strange and the water wouldn't really flow down there so the water would flow all over the bathroom
