The location was fantastic, and the concept of the hotel was brilliant.
The floors were quite dirty when we walked in, and there was hair in the bathroom. Would suggest cleaners give it a vacuum if possible. Our drain was blocked, though the concierge did have that fixed up right away. The anti-fogging mechanism on the bathroom mirror was broken, and it didn't seem like there was a bathroom fan so the bathroom stayed quite hot for a long time.

Great location near train station and within canal rings. We picked a canal facing room which was lovely and very quiet.
There's no actual reception, all enquiries are handled by hologram, which works well for simple questions, but there is no ability to, for example, get more coffee pods when we ran out. Also, cleaners offered ''replacement service'', eg toilet paper and towels, but didn't clean. Would have been a treat to have the bed made.

Location and very nicely done The hologram receptionist was super cool and weird!
The rooms aren’t cleaned whilst you stay unless you ask for it , that isn’t an issue but we asked for our tea and coffee to be replenished and they weren’t , I asked twice! The rooms weren’t as clean as I would expect but we still had a fab time and we would come back

Beautiful ensuite room in a Canal House. Decorated to a really hi spec and the bed was super comfy. Good central location near shops, bars and restaurants. Despite being so central the street was quiet and we slept really well.
Small gripe, but it wasn't made clear that the bag drop company around the corner was free of charge to guests staying at The Sixteen. Plus the TV remote had no batteries so the TV did not work. We mentioned this to housekeeping.

I recently stayed at Adam’s Canal House and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The property is incredibly modern and contemporary, with sleek design elements and stylish decor throughout. Everything—from the lobby to the rooms—feels thoughtfully curated and up-to-date. What truly made the stay memorable, though, was the exceptional staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and attentive, making sure all of our needs were met with a smile. Whether it was a quick check-in or a last-minute request, the service was seamless and professional. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, style, and top-notch hospitality.
There were only a couple of minor things I would note. The window facing the canal didn’t open, which was a bit of a shame—it would’ve been lovely to hear the city pass by from that spot. That said, it wasn’t a major issue, as there was a rear window that did open, and the room was well-equipped with air conditioning to keep it comfortable. The lack of a lift was also worth mentioning, especially as we were staying on the top floor and had to climb four steep flights of stairs each time we came and went. While this wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us, it’s something to be aware of, particularly for guests with mobility concerns. Of course, we understand that this is typical of traditional buildings in Amsterdam and adds to the charm of the city.

Prices were high due to the event in town thus my rating on value. I don’t know what the normal pricing would be. It’s a charming place, but I could’ve used a small shelf or bench in the bathroom or hooks over the door to hang towels and put our toiletries. I understand has new ownership and or management and it is charming and comfortable and in a wonderful place.
Could use sheer curtains in addition to the blackouts. Couldn’t open for light without the world looking in. Something in the bathroom to put toiletries and towels, so they could be used again. A second chair would be the last thing.

The location is great, not too loud from the bars and a just a few minute walk from the train station. We really liked the room, one of us was a bit unwell so we spent a bit more time in there than planned but it was so comfy we didn’t mind, having the window open on the morning and the sun shining in was just gorgeous. We arrived in the city earlier than planned which meant we ended up at the hotel by about 1pm, and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early. The digital reception was no issue at all, our key card stopped working at one point and they answered straight away when we called. They have large lockers on the ground floor to leave your luggage after check out so we took advantage of that and went for a few hours of exploring before heading to the airport.

Location, on a canal adjacent to the Medieval Center, with great options for transportation few minutes away to central station, metro, and river cruise docks. The hotel and an area have great character and make for a unique experience.
The original bldg. does not allow for a proper reception lobby. Checking is thru a virtual counter and a hologram. Staff makes everything possible to make this feel less awkward, but arrival experience is a bit strange. This is minor, since our stay was great. Our room was at ground level, can’t image what would be to climb upstairs with large luggage as ours.

The location is top notch. Staying a smaller building is much nicer IMO than a huge chain hotel. It was comfortable besides the glowing red light on the a/c above our heads (management should just put a sticker on it!). Do know that you’ll have to haul your suitcases up a narrow spiral starircae. There is no staff in the building —but they say you can video call them. We found that odd and didn’t. It really would’ve been very helpful if there had just been two bottles of water in the room when we got there. There was a carafe and glasses, but I was hesitant to drink out of it because I didn’t know how clean it was. Room was crazy expensive.

Adam’s canal house is about a 5 minute walk from Amsterdam central but also fairly close to everything. The room was nice and cosy as expected as canal houses are usually only small. The bed was super soft, comfortable and everything was clean. My only criticism is be prepared for the steep stairs, they were fine for us two youngsters, but others may struggle with taking heavy luggage. Also, the shower pressure isn’t very strong, so made it a bit difficult to wash my thick hair, but I just gave it a extra rinse.. it’s a old building at the end of the day :) the hologram check in is interesting, but all really easy to use! There was a bit of noise from another guest later in the evening .. but this is not the hotels fault at all as the rules clearly state be respectful of others.
