The location is superb if someone has to commute to AMS. Beautiful architectural surrounding, close to station, you can really feel like a local of the little town. Haarlem to me is a magnificent mini Amsterdam. Wish I could have spent more time exploring it.

I never realized there was any breakfast offered. Was there? Never asked though. The hotel is an old, hustoric building with trepidously narrow and tall stairs, a much used facility with a lot of wear and tear. The mirror in my room could really be mounted to the wall, the door hinges could be oiled, walls painted. My bed was uncomfortably soft. But the radiator worked well, the windows insulate well, the single room was exactly what I imagined when I booked it. The fun fair on the main square with the giant revolving hammer hurling screaming teens until 11 pm at night was an unexpected distraction, but it added to the charm nonetheless.

Location right in the market,a basic small room was expected with towels, TV, window and sink. Toilet and shower down the hall was very well kept. So ex value for me The bar/ restaurant was great ,with an outside terrace

Nothing could have been better, window opened but as on the top floor it gets warm in the summer. Prepare for 3 flights of typical steep stairs, so great exercise, but not suitable for older folks with leg/fitness problems. Also you may want ear plugs as lots of bells, and late night chatter till 2am

I like the simplicity of the rooms and the hotel in general. It has a hostel-ish flair but having your own room is a big plus. I don't mind the shared shower and toilet. The location couldn't be better and the accessibility of the hotel is great, too. I like to point out that my room card didn't loose function once during my stay. I truly admire that, it's something I often fight with on trips. Needing to go back to the reception, get your card fixed....

I would have appreciated a little better of a cleaning job before I moved into the room. But it was something I could bear. More difficult were some other guests on my floor using the shared toilet and not decently cleaning up after them. I bought wet wipes as toilet cleaner was not in the dispenser. My tip is to fill up the toilet seat cleaner and to put up some signs requesting to leave the toilet the way you would prefer to find it.

Location was good. Staff was helpful. Too expensive

Stairs were treacherous. Room key stopped working before we were to check out and we were locked out, no staff available until 9:30 AM. Room was cramped. Water leaking on bathroom floor

Perfect location, friendly staff. Steps - as in old, historic Dutch buildings, you will not find it in the Holiday Inn. As for me the perfect place for a short stay in Haarlem.

Value for the money. Enjoy it before the owner sells it or makes it a 500 euro per night boutique hotel.

There was no breakfast , location was good . good price . good hot shower , room was ready early

the stairs were scary , no reception in the morning when I had a question or wanted to check out . kind of a musty odor in the stairwell

Location was awesome, low cost and basic, met all of my expectations, also nina the adorable funny little dog was a added bonus

Right in front of cathedral in center of towns. 15 min walk to train station. Surrounded by bar and restaurants. Good breafast. I had a small room on 3d floor (dutch stairway, not for heavy lugagge) with shared toilet and shower. All were very clean. Big flat TV in room. Large window (insulation is not great). Sink in room.

The bed mattress is old and caved in. Heating next to bed so either your head or your feet are boiling and the other is cold.

It is a nice place right in front of the old church, with a cozy cafeteria and terrace, with a giant screen to watch football matches from anywhere, I loved the party atmosphere

The location was exceptional. The included breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating

The stairs to the our room on the first floor were a surprise.They are steep and narrow with a turn at the top. We are seniors and these were a bit of a challenge, but we loved everything else about the hotel
