The place has amazing central location and nice apartment!
The staff! The Chinese guy was impolite and never smiled there...

Really pleasant staff and stylish place. Enjoyed the vibe of the bar/cafe downstairs and good location.
Room was just a bit too cold but tolerable. I think it's a little cheap to require that you bring your own padlock for lockers and some communal space for drying clothes, particularly in winter, might be sensible.

Is one of the best hostel that I stayed in my life is now 17 county’s and I never see something like, we got something close in New York, but is not the same vibe. This place is amazing, people who work there they are all amazing too

Cosy and clean place for my part work part leisure trip. I could sit in to cafe and work as long as I wanted. Also all the staffs are very friendly and that makes a solo tracker like me have someone to talk to now and then. Ample sitting area, very close to the city centre and the cafe provides optional breakfast, lunch and dinner if you couldn’t get out for any reason. Saskia was so friendly and gave me tips on where to go exploring. The facility is very clean and well managed. Best part very welcoming atmosphere, it makes all the difference.
I don’t have any complaint just an observation. The bunk beds are high if you are on the second level, I had no issues but would help if there is a barrier to prevent from falling.

The staff was so kind, you could tell that they make a great team and are all very passionate about what they do. I appreciated all the little details, that made everything so much more comfortable and homely. Very nicely decorated rooms. The location was great and altogether I enjoyed Haarlem very much and it is also only a 20-minute train ride away from Amsterdam.
I was in the shared room with fourteen people and the bathroom we shared had a weird smell to it. I had some issues with the laundry I asked them to wash. At first they gave me back my dirty clothes after saying it was washed. Then they offered to wash it again and said it would be ready the next day at 8am (mind that I was supposed to be leaving at 8:45). When I went to pick up my laundry at eight I was told, it would be dry in about two hours. They managed to kind of dry it - nonetheless I had to bring my damp clothes to my next destination. Might have been a little mistake, still wasn’t all that pleasant though. And I had to pay 20€ for the service…

We stayed for a week in the split level apartment. It was really quaint and comfy, and felt like a home from home. The children enjoyed using the cafe in the afternoon, and the atmosphere was always chilled. Location was fab and we would stay again! Haarlem has so much to offer, culturally, with a great selection of historic sites, museums and restaurants. It was really easy to access the train into Amsterdam too.
Not really complaints, but just to add, the children would have like wifi in the apartment, rather than just the public spaces. Also, the bathroom facilities and fittings were of high standard, but the shower took a while to drain.

I was able to drop off my luggage before check-in and go out for lunch. When I returned, I checked in easily. There was a guest kitchen available; I didn't use it but it was clean and I saw others use it! I stayed in one of the female dorms, which had 4 built-in bunk beds (8 total beds). Each bunk had it's own built-in storage underneath for guests to use, with hinges to attach a lock. Towels and bed linens were included; bed was already neatly made, I just had to retrieve a fresh towel from the front desk. Each bunk had a functioning lamp and one USB port. There were also at least 2 full outlets in the room. Separate toilet and shower, both with their own sink. Hooks on the shower room wall as well as a hook for each guest in the bedroom! Great for hanging my tote and rain jacket at night. Breakfast was yummy and affordable. The hostel is located in the quiet area of town, which was awesome. No loud people in the streets or in the hostel itself to disturb your rest even with windows open. Extensive "living space" throughout the building (tables and chairs to work or eat or chat at) including an open air space. I spent my days in Amsterdam; the main Haarlem train station is a 15-20 minute walk (or you can take a bus from Bushalte Turfmarkt, about a 7 min walk from the hostel) and there are trains to Amsterdam Centraal at least twice an hour.
My only complaint was how the shower was slow to drain. I don't run the water my entire shower, so it wasn't a huge issue. However, if I had run the water much longer than I did each time, the shallow shower area likely would've overflown onto the main floor of the shower room. Even so, the water often sprayed anyway. Definitely not a dealbreaker for me, but I thought I would mention it!

WOW, this place was just amazing. Gorgeous hostel with a friendly, airy, and light atmosphere, reminds me of pensions in Italy. Very clean and comfortable, with good water pressure in the shower. Beautiful outdoor/indoor seating area and cafe. Great breakfast (I have heard the other meals are good too, but I didn't get a chance to try them) and very friendly and knowledgeable staff, not going to lie it was hard to leave here. This place is also in a great location to walk into the town center and for site seeing. Comfy beds and just all around a great time, this makes the top 5 for the best hostels I have ever stayed at.
A bit further from the train station, but there is an easy to access bus and they need to get some bikes for short people.

Loved it, friendly staff, great place. So welcoming, nice sheets and towels. Comfy with a cool vintage feel in the communal areas. Service was excellent and the staff were so helpful and it was chilled and nice to stay in. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nothing really - we gave our friend the double bed as she had her baby with her, so we slept on the single mattresses in the eaves with our daughter. They were fine, but being on the floor at 48 can make you a bit achey, but that was our problem not the place. After all we knew it was a boutique hostel and the sheets were lovely and comfy so no complaints from us.

The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was nice and available.
This was not a good fit for our family. The family room was tight, a thin ladder led to the loft which would not have accommodated 3 adults, one of the beds barely fit my 7 year old. The kitchen is not adequate to function for a hostel - two burners and a half fridge. There is no room in the room to hang out, but there are tables and chairs in the greenhouse which are okay. We enjoyed having breakfast in the morning. There is no way to get close with a car. The street is under construction. You have to pay 35 euros per day at the Appelear parking garage downtown. Haarlem is a cool little place and this hotel is clean and would do the trick for a day or two but not for a longer stay.
