Lovely setting, views to the harbour. Gardens to view and quiet.

No information in the rooms for guests re restaurant, or other hotel services etc. when questioning reception they advised that this information was on line, but even that information was not available in the rooms. Lots of mosquitos and bugs in the room, and no spray to deal with them.

It’s an excellent place. I love it. Me and my family. It was a huge room clean perfect for Family with kids the landmark Seaview . the team was so friendly in the night time was a smooth check in was perfect. The guy was so good. I don’t know what his name in nighttime shift but he wasn the best and then daytime they. so friendly and good, specially jass he will go above and beyond to make our stay easy especially with flight delaying every two hours the same day checking out and he told me not to worry he will accommodate us if the flight been cancelled, he makes it so easy relaxing beautiful memorable and easy for us thank you very much the whole team they all were good appreciate it. if I do that trip again, it will be at Rydges Formosa resort😊❤️

I liked the whole idea of staying in a spacious villa than in a tiny small space of a hotel.

Well the villa we stayed at which was number 28 is mostly fine except that the heating doesn't work too properly, and again it was probably because when we stayed there it was wet and windy weekend, also I have ti add that there is no microwave lack there of any facilities to actually heat up your food. There are also pain chips in the cabin where I this it wasn't renovated properly, or must be the moist coming from the window that makes the paint of the window sills come off and there were 2 rather ifst size holes that needed to be gibbed.

Rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is huge. Views of the bay and the golf course are lovely. We enjoyed the restaurant which has spectacular views over the golf course and the sea. It was a short drive to the ferry from where you can go direct to the city in 40 minutes. While waiting for the ferry there are several options for food or coffee. There is a ferry every 40 minutes.

I loved very thing in this room, the size was huge for myself, mum and children. Beds was awesome also. I can fit another 4 people in one room. TV - was good for my children, good size and awesome WIFI to connect. Toilet & Shower - Excellent. Children end up and the tub which is a good idea. Showers - Excellent too. I had 2. so good. and Toilet - good spare room for it too, have it own private door. little kitchen, i was looking for the fork and knife, lol i didnt see there so prepare for that. Breakfast - Loved it. Every morning. Made me full until Lunch. I give this a big 5 star. awesome service guys!

Beautiful spacious rooms Loved the double shower and bath with skylights, it's like showering outside The ladies who serviced our rooms were really lovely and so helpful Beautiful views to the water Very peaceful and quiet location to retreat Central location to bucklands Beach shops and restaurants and marina and not too far from the city and other auckland suburbs

Tried to extend stay one more night but the night guy at reception at 6am wasn't very helpful. Didn't make it easy for us, so we didn't extend our stay. If that process could be made easier I.e. charge the original card for the extra night or allow payment to be made on checkout would have been preferred to make it more convenient to extend stay. Apart from that one incident, on the whole staff and the experience was amazing.

I love Rydges Formosa having stayed here in 2021 in a golf course seaview villa. The quality of accommodation is always comfortable, clean and reliable. I like the location, privacy, seaviews and the beds never fail to provide the best nights sleep.

I think some of the hospitality could be extended. I paid 3x more this stay than before. In fairness I think that profit gain needs to extend in benefits especially to loyal returning guests. For $300+ some basic gratuities would be expected; a nightime turn down service particularly for event guests; a snack bar in the villas, a mini bar, bottled water, restaurant menu and golf club information. Lastly, I did notice the terraces and carparking areas needed waterblasting. There was alot of bird buildup that wasn't pleasant to see considering the price paid. Otherwise it's a great resort with great staff.

The villas are fabulous, even had a carport, nice and quite, air Conditioning, lovely view through the windows and on the patio. Bathroom was huge, with 2 showers and a bath tub, and a huge double bed very comply all at a great price through booking.com

I was quite surprised that the bed didn't have a mattress protector on it and there was quite a big old blood stain on the quite new looking mattress 😳 which was a shame as a mattress protector would have stopped this from happening and I wouldn't have had the unpleasantness of seeing it. I always think of the staff when staying at hotels etc and nearly always stripe the bed before leaving that's the only reason I saw it.

It was a beautiful golf resort, nice reception area and the cottages were really nice with lots of natural light which we loved. And also views to the Rangitoto. We were a family of four with two kids and we all really enjoyed our stay there. It's a little bit far from the city, but we're located at a very nice quaint place. Need a car to get there.

The breakfast options were very slim. The buffet was very basic and priced high. Apart from that, everything else was really good. We just chose to not eat there and meant out to a nearby cafe which was really good.

Excellent place to stay to relax after a long haul flight, total peace and quiet, the villa is very spacious and has all you would need, the buffet breakfast was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, just a 25 minute stroll from the marina where there are some restaurants.

Restaurant closes at 8.30pm which was a bit early for us but it seems to be the norm in NZ, other than that there were no faults that we could find.
