The managers worked along side the staff 😊 There was a real team atmosphere. They were friendly and cheerful, too. The property was located within walking distance to a very nice cafe, a supermarket and a pub. I also enjoyed the walk just over a kilometre to the Taylor River path 🏃‍♀️❤️ Plus it looked like they had done some renovations on the bathroom and new carpet in the room, too. 👍

My only complaint might have been access to the pool. Once the kids got in, they were in there for a couple of hours, so I didn’t have much chance to use the pool.

The bed was very comfortable, having the option to sleep upstairs or downstairs was a pleasant surpise. The hosts were both very knowledgeable and friendly. Also having two heat pumps made the stay so much for comfortable. Also having cooking facilities was a bonus.

They had a smart tv with Disney and Netflix apps installed. It was annoying to have to use our own login to use these apps and having to remember to log out before leaving, Also the TV networking was unreliable, We ended up plugging in our laptop and using the tv as a display only. This was only a very minor inconvience as I brought my laptop specifically for this purpose.

The lodge was on the outskirts of town but had many amenities close by. Staff were lovely. It was so convenient to have 2 bathrooms and full kitchen facilities. Beds were super comfy and BIG. Washing and drying facilities were great. The place was spotlessly clean . The outdoor seating and tables were a bonus

The pool was a little disappointing. Rather dark and dingy and unwelcoming. The kitchen cupboards were a bit noisy - if you weren't careful they would make a heck of a noise on closing. A couple of small well positioned pads might help. Not a biggie though

Great location, very friendly owners and good access for all areas of Blenheim. Room was a large family unit, two floors with a bathroom on each and two upstairs bedrooms and a queen sized bed on the ground floor. Full size fridge freezer in the kitchen. Unit was immaculately clean and well maintained. Parking directly outside the unit and easy access with a double door entryway. Fully fenced swimming pool near the unit and a nice BBQ area and access to the stream on the property (fenced), with seats for relaxing.

No issues with anything

The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we thought that our ferry would arrive at port late. The cleaning system was easy (we stayed there for a week, so didn't want the cleaners in every day). The space was perfect for us (family of 5).

Nothing to fault. I would just add, perhaps a TV in the upstairs main bedroom. It only became a problem on a sports night.

Check in was easy; plenty of space in rooms. Hot water for shower. VERY hand to the Z petrol station (next door!). Countdown just up the road (400 m)

The switch for the kitchen is broken (it still works but potentially dangerous) so need to be fixed. Ants were a problem if food was left out/crumbs so maybe spraying some surfaces between guests would be beneficial.

Robin was amazing and went above and beyond! Arranging a local eatery to come and pick us up and giving us great advice was awesome. Nothing was a problem. We arrived on 5 motorbikes and Robin allowed us to move outdoor furniture so we could park the bikes out of the elements. Highly recommend.

Loved everything. This was our 3rd stop in as many nights and we still had 7 more stops along our NZ trip and it would be hard to beat this service and hospitality

Really nice hosts, large comfy rooms and excellent wifi. Bathroom was spacious and very close to a large supermarket. Although not in the town centre, there was a lovely walk to the town and there are good restaurants nearby.

It would have been nice if when our room was cleaned, the coffee and tea was re-filled.

Room was big and comfortable for three. It was facing the main road so very noisy with big trucks passing at all hours. Pool good for cooling off. Staff really helpful. Good location with petrol station next door and supermarket a 5min walk.

If you do stay here and you’re a light sleeper, request a room away from main road.

we had a very spacious room and it was lovely and warm! The spa pool is a great touch and we enjoyed our spa bath too. We were around out the back and it is so quiet and private, I barely heard any road noise. Its handy being close to a petrol station as well so I really like the location.

The only thing I noticed is we had a light right outside our door that turns off at 10pm and it shined into our room and was quiet bright.It made putting my daughter to bed a little tricky. this was such a minor thing though.
