Cheapest motel and perfectly adequate for the price. There is a good pub/restaurant/bottle store/takeaways just round the corner and a supermarket and cafe just a short walk away. Friendly owner who showed me to the unit and gave me the good old Kiwi bottle of milk for my coffee. Having the outdoor pool would be great for stays in peak summer time.

It is VERY basic so suitable for people only wanting a bed for the night really. No hob/oven/cooking stuff just microwave, kettle and toaster. Shower pressure was a bit dribbly and the control was a bit awkward to figure out.

Trampoline and pool for the kids. Had a good kitchen so we could self cater. Really close to a supermarket. We had a number of rooms and our unit was a two bedroom with a large lounge so we could all gather for games night, and we used the outside picnic table for a shared dinner. We arrived very early in the morning after an overnight ferry, and they arranged access to our unit in advance.

staff were very friendly , facilities were were lovely and clean. would stay again , but definitely not that room

room was too small for a couple, with no table or chairs.only 1 bedside table and 1 chair, nowhere for partner pills glasses etc when both inside was only bed to sit on, I don't like sitting on the bed. definitely would not be suitable in winter for a couple luckily sun was out and we were able to sit outside.

Size of rooms was great - very roomy and large. Good for families with decent kitchen and living area. My children loved the trampoline and the pool.

Very basic - linen. No soft lighting options - just generic overhead very bright lights in all rooms. Bathroom very dated and shower floods floor. Need to walk past shower to access toilet. Our toilet had no door so family couldn't shower while another member used the toilet due to privacy.

Motel room was very spacious and comfortable. Lots of room where we could relax, as had a lounge area . Good facilities. Had an outside pool. Separate bedroom for our daughter to sleep in. We enjoyed cooking in our motel room. Enjoyed using the kitchen. Great after travelling over the ferry after a long day travelling. Motel is on a main road. Not far to drive to Pak n save for shopping. Wished we had more time to explore the township and area.

Everything! They were friendly and understanding when I phoned to let them know we were going to be a bit late. Have us milk( I've been to other ones and not received milk), clean bedding, clean rooms, body wash, soap, towels, swimming pool. I had conversations with the owner, cleaning staff. Totally enjoyed our experience.

That we didn't have time to stay longer!

Our Studio had everything in it we needed and was clean and bright. Handy to walk to town. Cleaning staff were very pleasant.

The bed light switches were too high up the wall. No plug in the bathroom for a hairdryer but luckily the cord was long enough to be able to reach the plug in the kitchen. Trucks passing by through the night were noisy.

Wonderful atmosphere- kids made friends within 4 minutes! Excellent kitchen facilities, great play area. Check in was quick and simple, super friendly staff :) Unit was well appointed - thank you so much for a great stay :)

Units are quite dated but facilities, staff and space more than make up for it :)

We were driving up from Christchurch for a funeral and I had arranged an early check in. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but the lovely host upgraded us to a huge apartment and let us in at 9.30am, which was great. The next day as it was a frost he came out and put water all over our car windows. Such a pleasure.
