Well-appointed and comfortable unit with view of the grapevines from your patio. Bbq to cook an easy dinner and an assortment of breakfast items delivered to room...what is there not to like? Great hosts and a wine tasting of River Rock wines was a bonus. Great location to explore Cromwell area.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Not walkable to restaurants but a very short drive to wineries, cellar doors, grocery, and selection of restaurants.

We loved everything about this place. The accommodation was beautiful set amongst the vineyards, fell totally in love with the tiles in the bathroom and the light switches. We also fell in love with one of the ports, but won't mention which one so that it doesn't sell out for selfish reasons. Jan and Graeme were wonderful hosts and really helped us out of a bind. We really appreciate your generosity and can't wait to stay here again on future travels.

The room and the property are so amazing and beautiful, exactly like the photos. We were very happy when we checked into our beautiful accommodation. The wine tasting at night was a great way to meet other people staying there. We had such a good time talking to the other guests and the hosts Graeme and Jan-Marie who are so welcoming and friendly, it was a really lovely time. We also booked a hot tub for the second night and WOW how amazing it was when we walked in, all the little added extras just made the whole experience so romantic. We definitely will be back to try the others!! Thanks so much Graeme and Jan-Marie for making our trip one will always remember ❤️

Nothing everything was so wonderful

Our hosts Graeme and Jan-Marie were so welcoming. Our room was beautifully furnished and a superb continental breakfast (more than we could possibly eat) was provided in our room. BBQ on our own deck overlooking the vines and complete privacy. Use of washing/drying facilities was a godsend. And on our last evening we enjoyed a complimentary wine-tasting with no less than 8 wines and 3 ports! Such fun hearing all about the wine-making process in such good company. Thank you Graeme and Jan-Marie.

It was all super

Our room and the view out over the vineyard to the mountains is beautiful. And the complimentary wine tasting exceeded all our expectations. We tasted so many wines - all were wonderful and the talk about them was informative and interesting without being pretentious.

There are no restaurants that are easily walkable from River Rock.

The attention to detail all around the property that showed it is has been carefully and creatively planned. Free wine tasting was such an enjoyable experience. Little extra touches inside the room that made us feel really welcome and appreciated as guests- well done team.

The breakfast was great, lots of variety and different on both days. The location was awesome, beautifully peaceful looking out onto the vineyards yet only a few minutes walk to the town centre.

There was nothing we didn't like. It was all lovely.

AWESOME place to stay. Everything was perfect, from the substantial breakfast to wine tasting and bbq facilities on the deck outside the unit. This is a boutique winery with amazing units set in the vineyard. Our hosts Graeme and Jan-Marie were fun and great hosts, who love their job and happy to share their wine creations. Unfortunately, we did not use the hot tubs, definitely on the list for our next stay.

This is an outstanding place to stay, and couldn't fault it.

My partner and I didn't really know what to expect but we very surprised and absolutely stoked. In addition to Graeme and Jan-Marie McDowell being super welcoming with a complementary fun and joyful wine tasting, the room, vibe and views were just spectacular. We were spoiled with perfect weather with scenic snow caped mountains and a beaut sunset over the vineyard. On top of this, Jan-Marie prepared breakfast early as we had an early departure, so nice and great service.

The only negative is that we only booked one night!

The Vinyard owner offered complimentary tasting at 1700 hrs of about ten different wine, incl. white, red and Port, which are of superior quality. It was a pity that I cannot carry any further additional weight in my check-in baggage on my return flight back home, otherwise I would buy a few bottles back. I like the whole accommodation setting of cottage style in the middle of the Vinyard and also the comfy of the bed provided.
