Excellent English breakfast that I paid extra for, and the cook took my suggestion to replace the hash brown potatoes with fresh diced potatoes with the skin. The room had a panaramic view of the rail station and mountains facing the sun to the north, and a well equipped kitchenette. There were recycling bins in the room: a good touch. My room was on the balcony, and a bench for relaxing was provided.

The bathroom was small, without a vanity top for storing toiletries, and the shower rose faced the door, so the first time I turned it on, the bath mat got sopping wet. There was no fitted bottom sheet on the bed, just a top sheet that crumpled up, and had to be straightened out constantly. The location at first appeared to be very close to the supermarket, and shops, but the town hadn't taken into consideration that not everyone drives a car. The motel is on a busy highway.

Comfortable bed. Good shower in bathroom, plenty of hot water. Friendly staff. Motel was secure and safe for a solo traveller. They collected me from station free of charge, This was really helpful as my luggage heavy and the road is a steep bend to the motel, plus very busy road at times Supermarket nearby for food, walking distance. Stayed just one night after TransAlpine Trip, took the bus to Nelson the next day. Visited Shantytown nearby, interesting place, all about the gold mines.

Not much to do in Greymouth. Looks a bit run down in the town centre. Bathroom window has net curtain but it could do with a blind or a curtain for better privacy Motel room could do with new bed covers, maybe get rid of carpets, but that's all, my stay overall was good.

A great motel, with all needed facilities in the rooms. Great personnel, very helpful and friendly (they helped us with a very late check-in and a forgotten mobile phone charger in the room). Lots of available parking spaces for those who are driving. A New World supermarket and a Subway fast food restaurant very close to the location, for those without breakfast included in the room(s) booking.

Lovely warm welcome. Everything explained very clearly. Lovely quiet room with parking outside the door. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice big bathroom with great shower. Nice to have the use of a laundry. Good location close to town.

Only complaint from us was the crockery etc at the bottom and back of the sink cupboard. We felt it would be much better placed up higher on a shelf or in a cupboard above the sink (we both suffer back problems so had trouble reaching it).

As we had taken the Trans Alpine from Christchurch we decided to find a motel close by. They picked us up and took us back to the motel. Husband and wife team, very friendly and helpful. Found the unit very clean especially compared to out Christchurch motel. Made to feel welcomed and any problems just let them know. Would definitely use them again. Another great touch was the Whittakers chocolates in the fridge.

Nothing really except maybe have tissues available. Now used to all hotels and motels we go to having them.

Perfect for family groups (or friends travelling together.) Lots of motels claim to have family rooms which are really a double bed and fold out sofa. The family room that we had at this motel had a separate bedroom with 3 singles and a substantive queen in the main room. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom clean with a good amount of space, water pressure in the shower was good. The main room was spacious- lots of room for the kids to play board games etc. Location wise the motel is really close to the train station. Hosts were really friendly and very, very helpful. Really liked their style and approach. Would definitely stay again.

The breakfast was yummy. My husband and I shared one and this was sufficient for our needs. The room was spacious and comfortable, the only suggestion would be to have a softer pillow., but this is a personnel preference. TJ our host was extremely helpful and we were pleased he picked us up and dropped us off at the train even thou it was only a short walk to the train station. I would recommend this motel to friends and family.

If TJ wanted to add to his business having a vehicle available for his patrons to hire could be a advantage. We were disappointed there was not a car hire place in Greymouth that would allow us to hire a car for the day. Therefore we were stuck in town without transport.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for arrival or departure by train or intercity bus, only a few minutes walk from the station. The facilities were good enough to prepare a simple meal and tea, coffee and milk was provided. A supermarket was only a few minutes walk away.

Excellent value for money. My husband said it was the best shower he'd ever had!!!! TV worked perfectly. Very clean, loved the white duvet covers...so you knew they were clean! Fantastic location. Easy walk down to The Warehouse, a supermarket and Speights Alehouse for dinner! Very friendly hosts. We will use this motel again and recommend it.

Great motel to stay at on my way down the south island, clean and comfortable with everything i needed in my room. the staff who checked us in were very friendly. Went out to eat at a nearby brewery which i can also recommend and walked down by the river which was lovely.

nothing to report on the didn't likes, it was just a nice place to stay for the night we were there and good value.
