The motel has everything you need in a room, and I found the bed super comfy. The managers (at reception) are lovely - without asking, I was leant a spare iPhone charger when I somehow managed to lose mine (resulting in my phone completely dying) which I thought was really kind. The motel is technically in Stoke rather than Nelson, so about a 10 min drive from town (but I didn’t mind as it was a bit closer to Abel Tasman and surrounds which is where I was hanging out more anyway). There is a laundromat a couple of doors down which was so handy! In my search for a new phone charger I came across the Pic’s Peanut Butter factory just down the road from the motel - join a tour, you won’t regret it!

The Boutique Motel is under new management, and the managers,Carol & Don were great.The rooms were comfortable and clean,and the beds were amazing, very good mattresses and pillows,and extras if needed. A Thai restaurant, Indian curry shop,( The Lamb Chops are to die for!!),Fish & Chips are a must as well,so there is plenty of choice to keep you interested. We will definitely stay with them again,and we found the people of Stoke very friendly as well.We felt very safe walking around the streets,with people willing to help out with info,directions ect. Having to leave and return home.☹️

The owner, who checked us in was lovely. She also gave us a couple free coffee vouchers for their great cafe (which has great brunch btw). Room was tidy and all the needed amenities were available - I’m especially thankful for the makeup remover and my partner enjoyed his complimentary freshly ground plunger coffee! We’ll likely stay again, but upgrade to the next size room! Location is super handy with New World a 2min walk away!

We happened to stay on a Saturday night, the pub over the road was a little noisy, however it’s to be expected!

Nice motel, more in Stoke than Central Nelson so a short drive into the town. Rooms are nice and well fitted out, host was very friendly and offered lots of advice for eating places. There is some building work going on next door which would be annoying if you were using the motel as a base to work but isn't a problem if you are out most of the day. The builders seemed to work 7.30 to 4.00.

Very smart motel, beautifully decorated, with a spacious comfortable room and bathroom. It is brilliantly run by Gareth and Hayley who were both very helpful in answering queries. The motel is set back from one of the main roads into Nelson itself, an easy 15 minute drive (don't worry - there is no noise from the road!) , is close to supermarkets and cafes (i.e. across the road) and has a laundry next door. There is plenty of parking space. Really enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

Nothing - really nice place

Welcomed by Gareth a good Scot from Edinburgh, he happily showed us to our room. The location was perfect for us. Parking on site very easy. Freshly ground coffee for us! Good clear typed signage and information folder, We had come to Nelson for a funeral of a dear friend. Stoke Summerset retirement village was close by so we could visit other friends. We are familiar with Nelson. Gareth and Hayley a delightful young couple, friendly and happy to help. Gareth’s ‘Little Nessie’ coffee shop is a wee gem, freshly ground coffee and yummy food. Oh yes, we also were given vouchers for complimentary coffee at Little Nessie.

Great little place, close to main drag in Stoke. As arrived on Monday night when asked for dinner recommend went to extra effort of looking up which places where open and gave a few great suggestions based on this. Though doesn't offer breakie, as owners run Cafe Nessie along the way Garath mentioned if you wander into the cafe they cover a coffee for free for guests from Boutique. Well setup kitchenette.

Limited number of parks, made transferring gear from car parked on street a bit of a chore especially when had also go upstairs.

The location was great, close to shops and restaurants. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful.

The bed was a little soft for our liking, but it was big enough as requested. The music from the hotel across the street was a bit noisy on the Friday and Saturday nights but then it was the Xmas/New Year period so may not be like that all the time.

Our room was small but perfectly formed (the rate reflected the size of the room and was reasonable). It was very clean and everything is being well maintained at the property. Des makes the place! She is very friendly and gave us some great recommendations for food and places to visit. We really enjoyed Nelson and will definitely visit again.

A very nice welcome with free coffees from their sister concern Little Nessie Cafe for each one of us. Clean and comfortable and very centrally located with New World and Countdown, a choice of restaurants within 100m of the motel and a 24hr laundromat almost next door. Close to the airport and various tourist attractions. Will definitely recommend Boutique Motel to family and friends.

The only thing that's was a minus for uswas that the beds were a little soft for our liking.
