A very interesting option within Nelson. The hotel is part of a bigger resort area with a the feel of a classic European village. We stayed on two separate occasions, before and after a multi-day trip through the Abel Tasman national park. The staff enabled us to take our room keys after normal check-in time. The rooms vary a lot in size but are always clean. A big plus is the proximity to Nelson airport, we were able to walk there with our luggage and could thus avoid the taxi fair.

No breakfast option and hard to find something in the area if you're without a car. Rooms were a bit pricey, probably due to our stay during the summer holiday period.

The style of the complex. Proximity to good restaurants. Double glazing. Generally comfortable with everything we needed and more. Convenient parking.

Unusual impersonal lackluster reception. Layout of wardrobe and tea making facilities and fridge. Could be better. Plane noise when windows are open. Toilet seat askew. Bidet may suit the odd international traveler but unnecessarily cut down on ensuite space.

Great situation in a integrated development based on an English village. Interior was very high quality reproduction, including herringbone brickwork in adzed timber frame and an "old doorway" bricked in with different style bricks. Opening widows and heat pump gave full control of temperature and ventilation. Complimentary ground coffee and cafetiere was really appreciated. Easy walking distance (1.7km) from airport on separated shared walking/cycling path

The kitchen / restaurant was being rebuilt and so no breakfast was available. Nearest shops to buy DIY breakfast was 2km away, but fortunately open.

Good location, but not in Nelson (the location is actually Stoke). The restaurant next door at the Honest Lawyer was great, and our dinner at the Brick Eatery was terrific.

There was garbage from the previous gust on the patio. To be fair, it was quickly cleaned up after bringing it to the attention of staff.

Room was nice & comfortable & clean. Great view over the pond. Love airplanes. Husbands a private pilot so watching them take off & land was great. Love the architecture of the buildings.

Maybe could have been better wardrobing with out the fridge in it. A little mould in the bathroom but I know how that gets imbedded in grout so didn't worry us.

It was a really lovely room. The friendly man who checked us in upgraded us to a larger room than we had paid for but we would still have been happy with the smaller room for the really good price. Such a gorgeous hotel and really comfy bed.

Loved the vibe and peacefulness ! The bathroom was STUNNING and had a huge jet bath, sadly I did not take any photos. Brick Eatery was the cherry on top.

Reception closed at 5, and left no check in instructions.

The place is beautiful. I feel like I'm in England!

Perhaps I find the cost of the room just a little bit pricey. We don't have a cabinet for our clothes. The walls are thin as we can hear noise from outside. Even the airconditioning makes a bit of noise.

The room was a great size and bathroom was very clean and modern. View was lovely. Staff were great, they were very busy as we arrived on 31st Dec and they were under the pump but were very friendly and laughing with us.

One side of the mattress did slope down which was a little annoying for my partner.

Rooms were good, the hotel was well maintained and everything was tidy and clean. Room service was always nice to return back too. The pool was a bonus and wasn't too cold. The restaurant was top notch with delicious food, they are separate to the hotel but awesome to have on the premises.

Nothing, everything was pretty good, it did what it needed and having travelled a lot in small space of time of Christmas period this was the best place we stayed in.
