The area where the motel was perfect for the family. 4 of the 6 of us flew into Nelson and it was a 3 minute drive to Amber Court Motel. Management and staff were great. There was a communal kitchen that was available to use and the washing machine and dryer were free to use. Our beds were made daily with clean towels on our beds.

In the 5 nights stay there, the rooms were vacuumed once and the sheets were not changed at all. The Motel policy was that the sheets would be changed every 6 days. I've stayed at many different motels/ hotels for work around New Zealand and 3 days has been their maximum days of having the same sheets on the bed.

Clean and tidy, spacious unit with comfortable bed in the main living room, and 3 x beds in the bedroom. I liked the coffee sachet and plunger, sky tv, free wifi, shower pressure great, new heat pump, parking right outside unit. Could not hear any noise from other units, but was a week night when we stayed. Was good for two nights.

Road noise, use ear plugs as it's right by a busy road and intersection. Couple of small things, fan in bathroom not working for the steam, no bodywash in dispenser, may need shower curtain or something across the shower to stop the water wetting the floor due to excellent shower pressure.

Bed was firm and very comfortable, shower was lovely, residents' laundry was useful as was the iron and ironing board in our unit. Nice to have a couple of comfortable chairs in the unit and we were able to bring the outdoor table and chairs inside for dining. They were also lovely to sit outside in the sun which the motel is well situated for.

There is a plastic bowl provided to wash up dishes and the microwave is a mechanical model, which are difficult to judge time on. That plus the toaster are the cooking facilities - luckily we had our airfryer with us!

Was value for money, the studio was very spacious and we liked how a door separated the kitchenette and bathroom areas from the lounge part. Loved the raised area where we could store our suitcase and use without having to bend down, was close to the airport.

Only one small suggestion, bedside tables or something similar would be good to put things on e.g. a drink, a glasses case, or a phone while charging had to go on the floor.

Heater on to welcome me. It was heaven after a tough 3 days for an 82 year old on the Great Taste Trail with his grandchildren! .....and then with ferry delay I was able to get an extra night there. Thankyou Amber Court Motel!

Only a minor point.....but a stool [or 2]so one could sit at the bench to write, and eat rather than sit on the bed having breakfast would be helpful. The lounge chairs need a small table related to them but the problem is there would not be much room for that.

Fab place - affordable but quality. Great facilities. Free laundry including complimentary soap powder. Sky TV on the night the All Blacks played Eng was a huge bonus. Surprisingly no traffic noise despite being close to the main road. Great lication - great takeaways within a 5-10 min walk. Beach a pleasant stroll. I could have walked to the airport even. I couldn't fault it.

The location is so close to everything, beach, airport, shops...ground units with parking available for each unit, most of all its a family business, good vibrations all round..highly recommend

There's nothing not to like, it's a beautiful place, I wish there was a frying pan though HOWEVER, we improvised and cooked our bacon in the pot with boiling water, with our surprise they actually taste really good and healthier 😀 off course with poached eggs...I will go back here in the future unless there's no vacancy...

The room was spacious, clean, and offered a quiet environment with no road noise nor noise from the other units in the complex.

Our unit had a shower over bath, and the bath had quite high sides which made it slightly risky to climb in and out of the shower. It also lacked a curtain so water went everywhere in the bathroom when having a shower.

Really feel this place is poorly advertised and under sold. The one bedroom is in fact a one bedroom apartment. The photos aren't particularly helpful and very miss leading. The room is large with 3 single beds and a double in the lounge with a small kitchenette with cooking faclities including microwave kettle and electric stove. The bathroom is older style but don't let that disappoint you because the water pressure is incredible. The staff are apsoloutley amazing and more than happy to help

The bed was particularly old and very bouncy, everytime someone moved the whole bed moved. But all things a side value for money this place is perfect.

A lovely host with ground floor apartments with good heating and cooking facilities to be able to self cater.

Opening shower door and then not easy access to towel rail. Needed to be outside shower to grab towel. Lighting was a little low over table area - one guest has low vision and found this a little difficult to see her meals.
