Had a really good sleep every night during my stay because the rooms are soundproof which is awesome. I travel a lot for work and this was the best sleep I’ve had in a motel for months. Comfortable, spacious and clean rooms, and close to beach.

There is no garden or private outdoor area other than the carpark / pool area which is the only downfall of this place. Faces the road so no views.

We had a sweet room with a fancy pyramid shaped sun light in the roof. The beds seemed a little soft for our liking at first but were perfectly fine in the end. The host gave us a warm welcome, fresh milk, and even helped us carry the luggage to our room. And my wife took the option to greet the cute dogs (otherwise out of the way).

The drying rail in the bathroom could be a little bigger for four people.

The location made you quite central for what we had planned to do. The pool was very inviting, and the proprietors very approachable and helpful.

Like most stays away from home, the bed and furniture were sorced at a set cost. The road works which started at midnight were a bit of a shock , the party next door sounded good if you were there and the stairs outside our door were specially designed to amplify any step anyone makes. The most frustrating thing was the wifi. We had the furtherest room from the source and nearly had me in tears of frustration. A mesh might be in order.

This is a great place for families! Lovely clean rooms, pool and BBQ area. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Rooms were equipped with everything needed. Walkable to every attraction a child could hope for - beach, park, family restaurants, hydroslide, zoo, bumper boats, crazy golf, laser tag, Go Carts. Many thanks to the Apex team for a wonderful stay.

We didn’t discover it sooner.

Awesome location, friendly welcome on arrival. Good sized rooms, comfy beds. Nice little pool, though we didn't use it on this occasion.

Lack of privacy from outdoors when in room, unless we closed the curtains, maybe some blinds would allow guests to look out but prevent passers by from looking in? No air-conditioning, so really warm during our stay, a fan is provided, but not a fan of these at night time.

I stayed at this motel recently, and it was really, really great! The rooms were super clean and comfy, and the location was awesome – close to the beach, shops, and food places. But the best part was the owner. They were so nice and friendly. If you want a clean and comfy motel with friendly people, this place is the best. I can't wait to come back for another awesome stay!

The property was exceptionally clean, both the room and the grounds, guest laundry and the swimming pool. It was situated within walking distance of cafes and pubs. The room was quiet and dark for a restful sleep. The managers were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

There was nothing to dislike. Being summer, maybe flyscreens on the windows could have been handy.

When booking a studio unit a small room is often the norm. Our Studio Unit at Apex was much larger than we expected. It was attractive, absolutely clean, comfortable, and provided everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and professional. We would recommend Apex Motorlodge and would return if visiting Nelson.

Couldn't fault anything

Wonderful service, we very much appreciated being upgraded on arrival to a bigger unit which was lovely! Very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Would definitely stay again. Nice big bedrooms & bathroom. Good location, handy to restaurants, bars and beach all walking distance.

There is no view to speak of but this didn’t worry us as only there for one night.
