The location was excellent. The facilities were also good. It met our needs.
It’s not that I don’t like it but It is a little dated. Needs some maintenance but in light of the hardship experienced by hospitality and tourism it is to be expected that money has not been spent on upkeep. I sure as business picks up then improvements will follow. Local traveler’s will accept a lesser standard but to attract the oversold travellers they will need to do some work. Eg the bench space was stained with tea and coffee and although it was obviously clean the stains needed to be painted over or the top replaced with something more durable. That beautiful fifties lampshade had wear and tear.

Close to beach. Great cafe just down the road (El Cafe). Very good coffee and food. Room warm and comfortable. Shower over bath (which is a bit harder to get into for an older person) but great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We took the continental breakfast option which is very reasonably priced and there was plenty to eat.
I didn't realise that the units were on two levels - upstairs and downstairs. If I had, I would have requested a downstairs unit as you have to walk up the path from the car parking area, around the back of the unit and then up the stairs. Not great if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues like I have. A handrail beside or at the back of the bath would help people to get into and out of the shower.

I would recommend the Pacific resort hotel Paihia to anybody. we had a group of 24 stay 11 of them kiddies under 7 for my mums 50th we didn’t feel any uncomfort as we were a bit loud and all. reception were so accommodating and cool with us ! the pool and spa were amazing despite the rain the rooms were amazing and value for money. big shout out to the cleaners who come in everyday if we needed :) and also kept our console safe as I forgot it in my room for about 3hrs 100/10 from our group.
I wouldn’t say I didn’t like anything but I’d love the pool open earlier and some sort of universal cooking area even a bbq picnic table area :)

Great location in beautiful Paihia, set back from the shore but as we were in an upstairs room we could glimpse the sea from our window. Our room was nicely laid out on two levels with three carpeted steps in the middle of the room. Room had everything we could want except no coffee plunger. The place could do with a little TLC repair work, but this is understandable for an industry that has had a hard time during the pandemic Lovely friendly staff. Free parking near our room.
Bathroom basin was badly cracked. Microwave needed a clean (rest of room was very clean though)

Very clean, comfortable and warm, although the queen bed on the divan base was a little bit hard, the single bed by comparison was divine! The pool is gorgeous and our 12 year old had a great time going between that and the spa pool on a chilly evening. Especially thankful that the manager put our group's rooms together and that they were right beside our off street car parks so we could keep our classic cars close. The breakfast was well worth the price and beautifully laid out offering so many options. Accommodation price super reasonable too. Location was good, within walking distance to town.
Nothing.

Nice size room, comfortable beds, and within walking distance of the town. I definitely would return despite issues mentioned above. Staff were very nice.
The curtains in our room were well past their use by date and need replacing with a new block out curtain as there are bright lights outside. The shower is in a bathtub that doesn't have a lip around the edge, nor is there a full size curtain, and as a consequence, water runs along the flat edge to the end of the tub onto the floor. Black mould is beginning to build up, same as on the back of the curtain. The cleaner forgot to close our door, and we came back to find it wide open. Of course, we notified management. We were very pleased to have had the forethought to put all our valuables in the safe and nothing in the room had been disturbed.

nice small swimming pool outside. great big room, comfortable bed and lovely clean bathroom with separate shower cubicle
staff were lacking enthusiasm and were keen to point out what we can’t do rather than we we could do. breakfast had the same few items every day which after the second morning became a bit boring. the path leading to the room was not well kept with several tripping hazards along the way, as the room was in a separate building a couple of minutes walk from the reception . very disappointed that the hotel had no bar or restaurant. they only served a few items for breakfast. it looks like it could do with new management to bring life back into the building. we’d have liked the opportunity to have a meal and a few drinks too in the evening. the location wasn’t exactly walking to the centre of Paihia which meant we had to take the car for a short drive out for dinner every night.

Nav at the reception was exceptional, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful to any of our inquiries. Spacious room/bathroom, quiet location, good short walks to the shops and restaurant. Beautiful garden surrounding the hotel. Spa pool was lovely. Pool a bonus for the kids but it was cold which it was expected due to the weather. We enjoyed our stay..thank you Nav.
Pillows was too soft. Housekeeping staff didn't change my daughter beddings despite the visible blood stains from mesnses. Staff just remade the bed which it was disappointing.

Loved the whole layout of everything. Felt at home when you walked in your room. Room was big enough to fit a tribe in.
Didn't like that, booking through booking.com wouldn't allow you to change how many guests were staying with out an extra fee. So still had to pay for the extra person that didn't arrive. FYI book straight through the Resort itself. That's what I will be doing from now on.

Great size room for whanau of 5. Reception staff easy to deal with, responsive and helpful. Breakfast was great. Great location, handy walk to beach and shops. Would recommend.
Slight error when booking the room with the final cost. I rang ahead to enquire about cost for 3 adults, 12yr old and baby, including breakfast. Was told it would be $228 on booking.com for superior room. When I booked it, it showed a discounted price of $204 which I thought was great. It stated twice in the summary 3 adults, 2 children. One part showed one child so we were expected to pay the $228. I tried to dispute the discount shown but wasn't accepted. The pool was very murky so we didn't swim and the spa is unavailable from 1st October.
