Very comfortable room for price. Good size with separate bedroom. New carpets and enough room to work on a table with my laptop. Next to fairly busy road but I could not hear traffic even though I was quite close to the road. Very happy. Will return again if I am in the area. Location was good for a short drive into Rangiora for work, with some local eating places including a good bakery within walking distance on flat road. Plenty of parking available.

Road was a little tricky getting out of hotel entrance due to lots of traffic, but not really an issue. No significant complaints at all.

The host was very friendly and chatty on check in, room was super spacious (rm14) and quiet being on state highway 1 I thought it would be noisy but the double glazing made it nice and quiet and zero issue. Beds were comfortable also. Will definitely be back again.

Only minor and potentially an oversight of house keeping there was a plunger but no plunger coffee provided. no visable dropbox for the key on checkout so had to leave key in room otherwise I couldn't fault

Found our bed to be a little wanting in it needed to be turned. I kept rolling onto my husband's side of the bed. Also previous guests had adjusted the TV and we could not get to view any TV for the evening, As it was Good Friday evening we decided not to disturb the hosts. Did tell them the next morning when we checked out

Friendly staff. Very spacious rooms. Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking. Value for money. Good location for what we were there for. On busy road but heard very little road noise. We left something behind and they very kindly sent it back to us with no charge.

Not much to dislike. Maybe spray bathroom and shower door with crc so they don't squeak. Is on a busy road so do get a lot of traffic but with double glazing you don't hear much noise.

Check in and out was easy and low hassle. The staff were friendly and informative. The kitchen facilities were adequate and the unit was comfortably large. Noise travelled a little between units, but was fairly well sound proofed. Also surprisingly cool inside, even when it was blazing hot outside on arrival.

The location is not walkable, but this was expected. I'm a firm believer of no blinds in bedrooms, would definitely have preferred a blackout curtain.

Room is spacious, accommodation clean tidy & well equipt, bed very comfortable, host friendly and accommodating.

Parking cn be a little awkward and limited for people if they have trailers and larger vehicles, For us it wasnt an issue but during our stay there was a large ute with a trailer of jetskis on it that parked blocking four vehicles in the parking bays. One guest was very stressed the next morning because he could not reverse his van out to get to work. He was outside honking his horn to get attention. Eventually he had to go off to work in a borrowed vehicle leaving his ute with all his work gear in it at the motel blocked in by the ute & trailer with jet skis.

Well designed unit, ideal for what we required which was basically a base for exploring the surrounding area plus it's close proximity to Christchurch. Even though the motel is close to the busy main road there was basically no noise from passing traffic. The unit was clean & comfortable & staff were welcoming, unobtrusive & helpful (i.e. the provision of extra towels when visiting Hanmer Springs).

The one downside was the heating unit in the lounge area, which even though we had it turned on full there wasn't a lot of warm air to be emanating from it. To be fair as we were generally out from dawn to dusk we didn't raise the matter with staff & as a compromise utilised the heater in the bathroom which more than did the job.

Location was awesome for us. We relocated from Waikato and we're considerably delayed due to ferry delays. This was able to be accomodated by the motel with excellent communication. They were even able to print out some last minute documents for us. We were so grateful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely everything. We were really blown away on how up market it was. The bed was devine, the bathroom fantastic, kitchen facilities fantastic. Living area fantastic. And there was Sky TV!! Close to everything we needed to get to and the staff were so accommodating and lovely. Beach just down the road!

For us there was no negatives

Location was great, staff were wonderful and friendly. The room itself exceeded my expectations. We were both very happy with all aspects of our stay.

The car parking situation can be a bit hairy, but I do not think it is much of an issue with the car parks themselves, but the people parking in them. There also did not seem to be enough car parks, however a few parks were filled with poor parking and trailers.
