I stayed in the Neatherwood suite. Love the 4 poster super comfy bed, very lovely decor and nice relaxing in the spa bath. Very lovely grounds and arrived first night to an incredible sunset. The breakfast was very yummy, the room comfortable, Adrienne and Garth are excellent hosts and very friendly and accommodating. They regularly check in with guests to see if anything is needed. They have great knowledge of places to go and see. Thames has lots of op shops which I love and other main stores. Locals were friendly. PaknSave has a really good variety (yay I could get vegetarian cheese) and I enjoyed my vegetarian/vegan option burger from Proud Mary's. The Thai restaurant Nakontong. Wow! that has got to be the fastest service I have ever had. I couldn't believe how it was packed and yet they still managed to bring everyone's drinks and food on time (even whilst taking takeaway orders). Staff friendly and food nice. It was lovely chatting to the other friendly guests at the cottage from other country's and having them share their journey.

Nothing the hosts could really control, one of other guests decided to have an early morning spa which woke me up. BP petrol station is the only one in Thames that sells 95 petrol and for some reason they were closed before 7.30pm. My car only takes 95

Difficult to know where to start really for we found Cotswold Cottage a true highlight on our tour of New Zealand. In a country with so much to give Cotswold Cottage rounded off our stay on a true high note. From the welcome provided by Garth and Adrienne, the accommodation location and the great start to each day provided by a wonderful breakfast you couldn't ask or wish for better anywhere. If you arrive in Aukland and are driving down around the Coramandel peninsular then this is stop no 1 for sure. Thames is a great lttle town just a five minute drive away and plenty of shops to wander around. You wont find better advice from the Thomas Cook of Thames, in the form of Garth on where to go and what to see. If you just wish to sit in the colourful garden and relax there is room to just do that and if the sun shines or not, dip in the hot tub. All your needs are catered for and the suite is my choice to go for. Thanks G&A..you made our last few days in NZ totally wonderful....no more binge watching of son and heir ! from Levison and Jan xx

It rained a bit..but heyho we are used to water from the UK

The property is located in a beautiful area overlooking Thames - the views were superb. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. They provided us with excellent advice regarding sightseeing - some of which we had time to do. The breakfast was high quality, and choice was available. Our accommodation was accessed independently of the main house, which suited us perfectly. My only regret is that we were not staying longer. In my view, the B&B provided value for money given the location, facilities provided, and hosting.

Beautiful views, lovely clean room, comfy bed, fantastic shower pressure, yummy afternoon tea, delicious breakfast, friendly helpful hosts, and a great spa to help ease the aches away after walking up to the Pinnacles. We had a great stay. Thank you :)

Adrienne greeted us warmly on arrival and showed us to our self contained room which had everything we needed. Lovely comfortable bed and a great view looking down to the river valley and hills near by. We had our own table and chairs on the decking outside. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of cooked if you fancy it. Our hosts here were particularly helpful as I left a couple of items behind which they were more than willing to post to me.

My husband & I loved the breakfast offered ( both continental & a cooked breakfast). Our hostess also served a delicious afternoon tea on our arrival. We really appreciated the way we were welcomed & how our hosts shared recommendations on where to enjoy dinner & also the best tourist spots to visit in the area. The location of the bnb was very peaceful with gorgeous views.

We were a little uncertain tackling the steep winding drive but managed it ok.

The room was very nicely decorated and the view was just spectacular. We also liked the mascot - a cute cat who always was ready to greet us with a little leg brushing. Garth provided us with nice information about which place was worth going and gave us a map. The breakfast was great! Lots of choices with home made muesli, toasts, and cooked meals. My partner and I definitely enjoyed our stay.

The Flys screens had some gaps here and there, so with lights on there were lots of gnats among other small bugs inside.

The location was beautiful. Stunning views when the weather stopped raining. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Provided many good options for a tourist. Breakfast excellent 👌. Room comfortable, very clean with good strong and hot shower.

So much was beyond excellent. The only small improvement could be the TV, which only had local NZ stations, so a film channel, say Sky, would have been appreciated, especially as we had such poor weather.

Location was perfect, perch up on a hillock with beautiful view over the river and mountains. Gardens are glorious and peaceful. Our room was on the corner, so lots of light and views. The breakfast room was beautiful set out and the food was excellent and well presented. The best part were the hosts. Welcome if and so helpful. Garth helped plan your day if you wished. Booked three days, there is so much to see. Avril & George

Absolutely EVERYTHING The bed was so comfortable, the shower really hit the spot, the gardens & the view were brilliant…. our hosts Garth & Adrienne went over and above to care for us with home baked afternoon tea treats & real tea in a pot with a cosy! There were even 3 choices of hot breakfast options on top of delicious cereals/fruit & toast/jams/lemon butter. our whole experience was top notch!!

Nothing not to love.
