Location is perfect! 5 minute walk front the city center! Close to everything! Big kitchen and common area Amazing staff! Super nice and very clean property! Price is also very affordable

The single room with shared bathroom is not very comfortable. I know I booked a very basic room (single room with no bathroom) however it would be nice to add a small mirror in the room and more hooks to hang stuff since it can fit a desk. There is a tv in the room but no mirrors.

The kitchen was well equipped with 2 separate hobs for 2 person to cook at same time. A staff, Katie (not sure the spelling), was very friendly and energetic, giving a very nice vibe for the hotel. They change towels everyday, can put the “Do not enter” sign if you don’t need daily change & cleaning.

Some time there’s very foul smell in my toilet. Not sure is from the ventilator or drainage. Wifi wasn’t strong in my room, hardly get the signals, couldn’t make a smooth video call. Might be dangerous to go up/down the steep slope during winter when floor gets icy.

I highly recommend this place for those who want to enjoy Norway on a budget, but still want to experience exceptional service. The receptionists were always available in case of any question even if you asked them about northern light spots or anything. I really liked their mentality about wanting to make every guest's experience super good as they understood that most of us came to Tromsø to make our dream come true. The complementary cookies, tea, coffee and the waffles during the afternoons were really generous, I have never experienced something like that in any other places (probably it is normal in Norway, but not in many other European countries). The kitchen was very well-equipped, the room was a little small, but still ok for 2 people, and I really liked the initiative of the common fridge and box where we could leave what we couldn't eat during our stay so others can have it for free later, it is both very good because it reduces the amount of wasted food and given the norwegian prices, it is a huge help for budget travellers. I can't say a bad word about them, also the washing machine and drier worked 24/7. I only wish that they keep on with this mentality and brighten every single traveller's stay in Tromsø as they did with ours.

A comfortable room with a twin bed, chair, HDTV, fridge, carpet, window, and in some cases a sink. A common WC (toilet+sink), and a separate shower room. Everything was impeccably clean, and I felt so very comfortable staying here. But the real stars of the EBH are the staff - they make you feel like you're at your home away from home, and are genuinely interested in what brings their guests to them. Be aware that dining out in Tromso is ex-pen-sive, so having access to the communal kitchen could be a financial lifesaver for you. I plan on bringing the family with me next time, and we will definitely stay here.

I wish the kitchen were open later, but this isn't a showstopper.

Excellent location only a block up the hill from the other town properties (yielding great views). EBH is one of a few "Enter" properties in town that cater to visitors of all types, so the company has access to all things that make for a successful stay in Tromsø. The room was basic but comfortable and white-glove clean, as were the communal WC and shower room. Use of the house kitchen is most welcome, as dining out in Tromsø is _very_ expensive. But the stars of the show, Simon and Kadi, just made me feel so very at home. We talked about my experience visiting the town, the Norwegian economy, and how happenings in my home country affect them despite being so very far away. I plan to return with family in tow one day, and I expect to stay at the Enter Backpack Hotel. If I'm lucky, I'll get to catch up with Simon and Kadi again! Thank you for your warmest hospitality!

I was bummed to learn that the kitchen closed earlier than my jetlagged stomach would stop nagging me. My room hosted a rear-side access panel to the electrical circuit breakers for the building. That panel could use a quick paint touch-up. Not a worry though.

It has all the basics. Rooms are a little tight but it has all you need. Beds are comfy and clean! The shower is hot and has good water pressure. The downstairs is nice for hanging out and drinking tea. Afternoon vaffels are a nice touch.

My room was right next to the stairwell and I could hear people’s footsteps all afternoon. It quieted down at night though so it did not disturb me while sleeping. The hill location is nice but be aware of what staircases leading from town are icy and which ones are clear. Leave extra time to go downhill when it is icy!

Location - it's close to the city center, so many stores, cafes and restaurants are within a 15-min walk's range. Great commute options, too, as all major bus routes pass through the area (north to Kvaloeysletta and Eidkjosen and south to Tromsdalen). * The staff - the receptionist was very helpful and the staff made the bed and brought a set of fresh towels every day. * Value for money - I wanted basic but comfortable accommodation at an equally basic price and that's what Enter Backpack delivered. * Views - the hotel is located on a hill facing Tromsdalen, so you get great views of Floeya and a glimpse of Tromsdalstinden from the lobby and roooms facing south.

Low acoustic isolation - I could hear the neighbors at times and was never sure whether I'm not being too noisy myself. * Towel hangers in my room's bathroom were mounted too low to hang a bath towel on them

It has all i need and you have shared kitchen in case you want to cook . i Also tried their trip with tour guide which was amazing . Snowshoeing was amazing and they offer waffles every day for free which was kind of them . There is a lot of supermarkets nearby.

The room was not clean enough they don’t clean under the bed it was really dirty .. when we arrived the room was very cold so I’d recommend to ask them to open the heating system before you arrive . For me it’s not comfortable for long stays or maybe it was my room the one in the basement was not good

One of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the entire place was clean. Not to mention the shared kitchen, which allowed all of the guests to make their own meals at any time they liked, which is an excellent alternative to buying ready meals which can cost way more than homemade food. Lastly I need to mention that the beds were so comfortable, I almost overslept the alarm and would have missed my flight back home… all in all a marvelous clean place to stay, great staff, friendly guests, affordable price for norwegian standards, shared kitchen.

Location is very central and within 5-10 mins walk of all the good restaurants and markets. The reception (specially Cadi) is extremely helpful and super resourceful. The kitchen is very well equipped for all kinds of cooking with a very large common area to enjoy the meals. And most important, cleanliness is on point all the time. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.
