Hotel is a bit dated, we have booked 1 double room and 2 apartments, they weren’t in the same building, with the apartments having to climb a flight of stairs but just one level up so that is alright and i have already knew it from the comments / reviews i read earlier on. The rooms are all in good and comfortable size. Hotel location is extremely convenient, near to bus stops to everywhere including airport. Staff are welcoming and have been answering my various queries months before my visit. There is always coffee and cookies at the hotel lobby. Waffles at the evening is nice.

Very good value in a great location. Works well for a short stay at an economical rate. Loved the self-service pancakes in the early afternoon.
No towels in the room - a genuine housekeeping error (but I only realised when I came out of the shower!). It would've been OK, but when I asked at the front desk (having had to wait to naturally dry off before going downstairs!) I was told the towels would be delivered...but I had to ask again (by getting dressed and going downstairs again before my shower) the next morning. Was then asked if I wanted the towels put in room or if I wanted to collect later from the front desk. It just all felt a bit lazy. Small thing, but it did irritate.

Welcomed in with a tea/coffee station with sweets and choc chip cookies. The room was lovely and comfortable offering a nice size en-suite and fridge for your use. The shower had excellent pressure and was a great temperature. Hotel offering fresh waffles with Norwegian brown cheese and compote a nice touch. Location was amazing...close to everything...literally a 5 min walk to the harbour, shuttle bus for cable car, many bars and restaurants or even the most northern McDonalds on the high street open til 1am...what more do you need!!!
nothing negative to say! lovely place....will stay again for sure!

Great location, close to shops&supermarkets, bus stations, the port, etc Although I stayed in a single room, the bed was comfy and had enough space to move around (but I only carried a backpack, if you have bigger luggages it might be an issue). It was quiet during my stay. Also coffee/tea is always available at the reception desk. The staff is welcoming and nice.
The room ventilation can’t be turned off. It keeps blowing cold air inside the room and it also makes a lot of noise. However, I discussed with the hotel staff and was allowed to cover the vent. The temperature inside the mini-fridge was only slighty colder than room temperature.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything including the city center was accessible within walking distance so great location , the view of my room was amazing too. The room was cozy and comfy and had very good heating and conditioning.
The only thing I could say is the fact that I had to ask the reception for the blow dryer, the room does not go with it. But was no problem at all after all. In general it was a bit expensive for a single bed room, but that is Norway haha, it is a pricey country.

Location was great. In walking distance to the great museums and attractions in Tromso. Bus stops are nearby, but we found walking a great way to explore the city. The tunnel to the airport is next to the hotel, providing a quick route to the airport. The hot drinks were always available at the reception. Adding the nightly waffle making made this a very comfortable area to meet fellow travellers and hear their recommendations of things to do. :) We were able to store our luggage, and the staff helped us move it as we were travelling with an injured partner.
All was good. The only downside was the limited airflow in our room. It felt a little "stuffy'' at night.

We travelled with our extended family of 6, so we'd booked one double room and the family room. Both were very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The waffles, cookies, hot chocolate and coffee at the reception were delicious. You can easily walk to the town centre and to the harbour from the hotel, the location really is excellent. We checked out early and the person at the reception very kindly let us leave all our luggage in a safe room.
The family room is a bit cramped, but given the hotel's location, this is a quibble.

The location was perfect for us. The free waffles served daily were a nice touch as were the free teas and coffees available at reception.
I do feel like the rooms advertised online don’t really match in real life. Our room was tiny and in dire need of updating. The arm chair was stained and the window frames were cracked and mouldy. One thing that was kind of annoying also (but that’s more of a us problem) was the fact that the headboard had over head reading lights so low down on it so you couldn’t really sit up in bed without impaling yourself on them.

For the days I stayed in Tromsø, it was the hotel with the lowest price/quality option in the city centre as far as I remember. Everything was good despite the hotel being a low-cost property. The hotel's location is decent: it's on a high street of the Tromsøya Island and almost all landmarks of the city are within walking distance from the hotel. If you really feel tired of walking, it's easy to use public transport, and the hotel is already very close to downtown and there are some bus stops nearby. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. They serve tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and hot water for free at the reception as well, thus I didn't need to have a kettle tray set with coffee/tea in my room. I would like to thank the receptionists on my last day for keeping my luggage till the evening as well. It's a very smooth process to book a taxi from the hotel to the airport and the taxi quickly arrived. Breakfast was not included in my reservation, but they offered me to register for breakfast at one of the hotels around working under an agreement. I chose Enter Amalie Hotel and their breakfast was very good, especially their cake was notably delicious. My room and its bathroom were clean enough. Owing to the fully opened window and Tromsø's weather which was still remarkably cool in July I could have decent air conditioning in the room. My bed was comfortable. The soap and shower gel in the bathroom were of satisfactory quality. Last but not least, the wireless Internet connection was good.
I don't have any major negative feedback about the hotel in my mind. The housekeeper lady didn't make up my room, perhaps I was expected to particularly request it. Nevertheless I didn't make a fuss over it at all since I stayed in the hotel just for 2 nights and I was out during the day. Furthermore, it could have been better if you had put one more towel in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was near the waterfront, restaurants and a playground for our son. The complimentary waffles in the evening were a nice unexpected touch. We got a pizza to eat from a nearby restaurant and it was unsliced. The hotel had a pizza cutter that they lent us to cut the pizza with :)
The room was a little bit on the smaller side. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it was a bit tight.
