I recently stayed at the Enter City Hotel in Tromso for 7 nights during my solo trip to participate in the midnight sun marathon and explore various summer sports in the region, such as kayaking, cycling, and glacier hiking. Overall, my experience at Enter City Hotel was quite positive. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's convenient location, which was close to the city center. This made it easy for me to explore the vibrant streets, visit local attractions, and access public transportation. I appreciated being able to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, making my evenings after a day of activities quite enjoyable. The staff at the Enter City Hotel were friendly, welcoming, and supportive throughout my stay. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Eva and Alvin at the front office for their exceptional customer service. They were always ready to assist me with any inquiries, provide recommendations on local attractions, and ensure my stay was comfortable. Their warm and helpful attitude made a positive impression on me and contributed to a pleasant overall experience. The rooms at the hotel were on the smaller side, but I found them to be comfortable and well-maintained. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated having a private space to relax and unwind after a long day of outdoor activities. Despite the limited space, the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a clean and functional bathroom, a desk for working or planning my adventures, and a television for entertainment. One standout feature of the Enter City Hotel was the in-house free laundry facility. This was a huge convenience, especially for someone like me who engaged in outdoor activities and needed to wash my clothes regularly. It saved me the hassle of finding a laundromat or spending extra money on laundry services.

It was the best hotel experience I ever had. The room was spacious, very nice interior, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchenette and nice bathroom. Everything was very clean, high standard. The location of the hotel is amazing, totally in the center of the city, with a lot of restaurants and supermarkets right next to. Despite such a central location, during the night was very quiet outside (and inside the hotel), I slept soooo good! I also need to mention the staff in the hotel- everybody were super sweet, friendly, easy going, helpful with big smiles and great sense of humour! I wish in every hotel the staff was so lovely! I totally recommend this place, can't wait to be back.

Everything was perfect!

This place was an awesome place to stay in Tromso. The staff was super great! The room was clean and their customer service is excellent! The staff is very warm, friendly and helpful! They even gave me recommendations for where to see the Northern Lights and get the best views. I also received other great recommendations on where to shop and eat! Everything is close by and convenient. Because of the convenience, you don't need a car if you stay here and only want to be in Tromso. However, I had a car because I travelled a lot out of the city. The hotel even gave me a great rate for the parking garage. Will book this hotel again when I return to Tromso! The beds could be a little more firmer. Aside from that, everything was great!

Excellent location to EVERYWHERE (including Central station of bus/ coastal voyage/ long distance bus). Next to shopping street, and all must-go places. The apartment is clean and shiny; utensil in the kitchen is clean and well equipped; spacious and city view from window; kitchen comes w/ oven, dishwasher, kettle, microwave, induction stove); Heater floor in shower area; Towels, dishwasher tablets, tea bags, etc can be self-services if needed; Dryer and Washing machine are free to use (pls don’t abuse the facilities); Housekeepers comes everyday to clear the kitchen bin and replace dirty towels; basic TV but no Chromecast and mainly in Norwegian channel; Self check-out machines available; only one lift but no waiting long as the speed is fast; Apartment well insulated and well equipped self-control heater;

WIFI is the WORST problem - only 3MB download speed (tested with OOKLA) and it’s signal VERY WEAK and drop off VERY FREQUENTLY; Kitchen extract fans doesn’t work; Bathroom shower door design fault (it will hit the toilet bowl very easily and it will shatter easily if hit it strong); the shower water will go through underneath the shower door and the bathroom will be wet; Pillows not comfy for back sleepers; Washing machines and Dryer machines need TLC, it’s very dusty, not recommended to allergies sensitive person;

The big advantage of this hotel is location. It is very easy to access harbour and all attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We booked bigger room and were not disappointed. First, bigger room is more comfortable. Second, bedroom was separated from kitchen. Kitchen has all amenities you need for cooking, fridge, coffee machine. The amenities are simple, but it is fine. The room has also sofa bed for the third person. The cleaning was done by the lady, who mostly collected garbage. The towels were changed twice per week.

The minus is mattresses of beds. For us, they were too soft. The hotel has a parking, which is a plus. However, the entrance into the parking is not for every car and driver. If the guests have big cars or do not have skills how to navigate in narrow entrance, it is better to avoid. For us it was not the issue, because the car was not very big and driver is very competent.

Location is perfect. Just 1 street back from the main shopping area and short walk down to the harbour if you want to go on any whale watching trips or chasing northern lights. Also under 10 minutes walk to the Polaria to see seals etc. Easy walk and much cheaper to pay on door, as is cable car. Just get a taxi and pay at site which is easy and much cheaper.

Nothing really, room was warm and cosy. Bed is very soft but slept absolutely fine and room was quiet. There are more facilities available microwave and coffee machine if you ask but we didn't need them. Cooking facilities were minimal but we didn't need them.

Excellent location - with most major sites a short walk away. Bus stops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, the library - everything was just around the corner. We had requested for an early check in and they not only managed that for us, but also upgraded our room! There was a laundry room in the basement which was great since we were on a long trip. Overall we were very happy with both room and service.

Ours was an apartment room, ie with a kitchen etc and there were some minor issues with cleanliness of the kitchen items. Think the previous guests didn’t clean properly and it got overlooked during the room turnover.

Second holiday at Enter City. Comfortable room. Very clean. In quiet area , just seconds walk from main street and close to shops., port, buses, harbour, Information Centre. Very kind staff. A big thank you to Nasryn and Ewa, the two lovely receptionists who were also there last year, and who were always available for a chat.., and who made me feel very welcome. This is quite important for an older woman travelling alone. I was able to come and go as I pleased. Room had everything I needed. Hope to come next year and will stay there.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Me and a friend stayed here when running the Midnight Sun Marathon. To save money we were in a small apartment with one of us on the sofa bed but it was plenty big enough. The kitchen had eveything you need which saved us some money eating out and allowed us to manage food around the run. There is a nespresso pod machine too which was lovely. The room has good black out curtains so it wasn’t too bright through the night. The bathroom is really big with a decent shower. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful! And just genuinely lovely people. The big coffee machine (for milky coffee) and biscuits in reception was a treat. I would recommend this place for anyone but if you are running at MSM then this is a 5 min walk from the start line and less than 5 walk from the finish line. Absolute bargain for the convince and how nice it is.

Nothing to dislike. Honest loved it all and would stay again without hesitation.

- I was a bit worried about the parking as the entrance of the garage is very narrow, the staff was incredibly helpful in giving me the keycard to get access to Tromso Parkering Fjellet which is the underground parking in the center of Tromso that is 100m far from the apartments. The cost charged by City Center Apartment is 250 NOK per day which I think was a good price (I didn't check how much Fjellet parking costs for two full days if you try to pay on your own). - We booked the Deluxe Penthouse on the 6th Floor and it was a good choice, we had enough space and the room was ok.
