This hotel had very beautiful rooms, comfortable beds with cosy decoration. The patio was very nice set up with little water fountain and chairs to relax during the day or afternoon. The restaurant had yummy affordable breakfast, very attentive staff members, and location was pretty good from everything. We enjoyed having dinners and breakfast every day at the hotel. Short distance walk to the churches, plazas and mercado.

Toilets and shower were a bit to far from our rooms. I don't care sharing the toilets and showers, but if you can try to request a room nearby the toilets or get a different room with private toilet.

The staff were all extremely hospitable and the courtyard setting was beautiful - a perfect place to sit and drink coffee in the morning. Also really loved that you could book a massage directly with the front desk on the premises, despite the hotel not being a luxury spot.

The experience itself was lovely, and we had no complaints with the facilities, given what we expected at a two-star hotel. But for a two-star designation, it felt a bit on the expensive side. And one small but rather notable issue: we were told at check-in that coca tea was free, but when we checked back in for a second stay after our Inca Trial hike, we were charged for coca tea though we hadn't been told it was no longer free. At reception, they said it was no longer free on our second stay. That seemed odd not only because we hadn't been told but also because it seems to be disincentivizing a repeat stay.

The price was very reasonable. The location near Plaza de Armas was great. Lots of nice restaurants within a 5 min walk. The rooms are simple and a bit older, but decorated attractively. The courtyard with rocking chairs and a fountain is cute, peaceful, and relaxing. The plants and flowers everywhere really add to the ambiance. The café is nice and has good food. My favorite thing about the place, though was the staff. They are so helpful and warm and inviting. Lovely people, happy to answer questions, recommend restaurants, tours, etc. We initially booked a few nights stay with them, and planned to use a different hotel after we got back from hiking the Inca Trail. We liked the hotel so much we canceled our reservation for the second hotel and booked again with them. Without us asking them, the staff rearranged things so that we could return to our original room. My wife and I were really impressed at how thoughtful and helpful they were.

The beds were a little firm for my taste.

Absolutely loved the property. Very home-like vibes. Staff is extremely kind and accommodating. The property is very clean. We actually enjoyed this property over our 4 star hotel in Lima. The hotel offered laundry service. We stayed here before and after hiking to Machu Picchu. Also, complimentary one time tea at the restaurant. Also loved that the restaurant hours is 7am- 10am. Would definitely stay here again if in Cusco. We had a private bathroom, but the public restroom was very clean and nice.

The hotel is built on such a beautiful concept supporting all these kids in need. The hotel is quaint and the rooms are simple but cute. The restaurant was fantastic and the avocado/mango cocktail starter was one of the most delicious dishes I had in all of Peru. The value for our room was amazing too The only issue is it can get noisy. Our room faced the Main Street and the walls were thin. So if you’re a light sleeper I’d ask for a room facing the interior and away from other guests. They gave us a cute box lunch and held our luggage safely for us while we did the Inca trail. Always a big smile on their faces. Lovely and local experience!!

Just the noise at night but our adult boys slept right through that. Haha

We stayed at Niños Hotel Meloc for four nights as we acclimatized in Cusco before heading to Machu Picchu and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is a beautiful property with rooms on the ground floor and first floor centered around a beautiful and sunny court yard. The rooms are spacious and most are equipped with twin beds/multiple beds, which was perfect for me and my friend. The hotel is in a convenient location about 5-10min from the center of Cusco with many restaurants and cafe's within reach. We especially liked the breakfast options at the hotel and the coffee was one of the best we had in Cusco.

If you are traveling as a couple, I would inquire about the bed size. My friends were staying in a relatively small room with a 140cm bed (French bed size) which they found was too small as two tall people.

Staff was nice and professional, and the restaurant was great (both food and hours). Location is great, and I felt good about supporting the mission. The front doors of each room face the open air courtyard, so you can hear everything going on out there. Annoying when kids were yelling and screaming. Fortunately the environment inside the hotel itself was very quiet and night - no traffic noise, and guests were quiet, so I slept well.

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the price of my room. I got a room with 1 full sized bed for me and a single/twin? bed for my sister. The full sized bed they called a "double" meaning for 2 people, plus my sister's single bed means they called the room a "triple" for 3 people and charged $95 per night. I consider it a 2 person room and think they overcharged by about $20-25.

Very cosy rooms, nice decor, they have a small restaurant which is nice as well. Location was great for getting picked up for things. Nice courtyard to chill out.

Main issue was there was no WiFi available in my room. I had no data so I couldn’t use my phone whilst in the room which was silly. The bathrooms are kind of cheap and cold, the shutters/windows on the doors and windows weren’t very secure. I paid for breakfast because I read in the reviews that they package it up early if you’re doing treks, but they charged me for a to go bag instead - so don’t buy breakfast included if you have tours booked. Also I am solo traveller and they allocated me to a room with 4 beds which was unnecessary and felt kind of empty. But overall, nice enough stay.

The rooms are all unique, and they are named after either young people who were helped by the hotel (this hotel helps disadvantaged youth in Cusco), or who were perhaps early benefactors that helped the hotel get off the ground. Read the background on the hotel and how it got started. Our taxi driver to the hotel (Ramon) was one of the disadvantaged youths that was helped. The beds were very comfortable with quality bed sheets. The small restaurant in the hotel (they call it the "cafeteria") was so warm and welcoming, we ate many meals there. The menu is fairly simple but the food is excellent and fairly priced. They had a wood fireplace in one half (and an electric heater in the other), which made it extra cosy. The staff were fantastic. We could also book 1-hour massages the day before at the front desk, and they had a massage room just off the main courtyard. That was also very nice, especially after hiking the Inca Trail! And coming from North America, the cost of the massages was very reasonable (USD$24 for a 1-hour massage). The staff in the hotel, including the front desk were very knowledgeable and super helpful. They had same-day laundry service that was reasonably priced. If you dropped off your laundry at the front desk by 11 am, you had it back after supper. Oh, and the hotel had a reasonably good location, just a 5-minute walk from the main square.

Rooms were heated by small portable heaters you had to turn on, that you couldn't adjust to a set temperature. It was just fine for us, but maybe some people won't like this.

The personnel were all very kind and helpful. The restaurant in the accomodation is also very nice, if you do not feel up for going to the city centre (10 min of walking away) or just to have a coffee for a minute. We stayed here for three nights before we did the Inca Trail and one night after, a nice bonus is that we could easily leave the main part of our luggage behind for the nights we were away.
