Travelled as a family of 4 with 2 young boys. We had our own room facing the back pool and the boys had their own room in the middle of the property. We were OK with this and the boys were happy to be separated from us. Thoughts: -We liked having two separate pools as my sons took over the back pool away from the couples traveling -The room by the back pool was spacious and quiet and very clean with a very comfortable bed -The rooftop pool was really cool with great drinks -The staff were super friendly and accommodating

Thoughts: -Our sons' room was OK, small 2 twin beds room, had a slight sewage smell. My boys didn't care and barely smelled anything, but I'm pretty sensitive to smells -We were not a fan of the toilet hose and not being able to flush toilet paper down the toilet, but I understand if this is an island issue -I would ask that the turndown staff to be aware of closing the door while doing turndown or during the delivery of snacks as it lets the mosquitos in

A small boutique style hotel with exceptional staff and attention to detail. Complimentary cookies, drinks, bags etc are a nice touch. Happy Hour on the rooftop is the best place to be at the end of the day. Followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The staff here are impeccably trained and go out of their way to accommodate you and make you feel like you are staying with family.

The near perfect friendliness, warmth and positive vibes the staff here have are in our opinion the best so far, even surpassing more expensive hotels by miles. And if all their branches have staff this friendly, we will definitely stay at the other two as well. The food on the menu is a tad adventurous but what they do offer does taste really good.

Luckily we didn’t get a room on a higher floor cause they do not have elevators here, the rooms are being cleaned with the doors wide open leaving space for bugs to come in and bite you in your sleep, we had certain issues during our stay but the staff and management handled the matter amazingly, which we do appreciate. Lastly I do want to note that the laundry service the hotel working with seems to cheap out on the detergent as 3 times I offered a piece of clothing I had with massage oil and it kept coming back the same in an oily state. Once we got back to Manila I sent it off to be laundered at a local laundry shop and it was oil free after the first time. So that needs to be improved or they should work with someone else.

If you're going to Coron, I would highly recommend staying here! Our stay at The Funny Lion - Coron has been exceptional! The rooms are clean, comfy and modern, the service and staff (especially at the Hunt Restaurant, specifically Cyrnne) are so welcoming and helpful, and the location is a short ride to the main street of Coron, but also offers privacy so that it's not loud at night. The property is very nicely maintained and they are working on improving it even more. The front desk helped us rent motorbikes and coordinated pick-up/drop-off services for our ferry and flight. I had even told the hotel manager (JB) that I enjoyed the fresh cookies they left in our room on the first night and they consistently brought us those same cookies each night. One night, we requested a meal that was not on the menu, and they were able to make it for us - the chef is extraordinary as well. Additionally, one of the staff members (Ian) made us an itinerary when we told him we were riding motorbikes one day - it was a perfect list and every recommended spot was great! It's the little things that made our stay memorable.

My husband and I really liked the location as it was nestled just outside of town which provided a nice and quiet nook. We got to enjoy the facilities especially the swimming pool as they had a separate one apart from the main pool. They also have an amazing view of the ocean and the surrounding islands at their rooftop bar that also had a jacuzzi. The hotel itself offered complimentary non-alcoholic drinks everyday - this was freshly delivered in our room after clean up. They also provided complimentary evening snacks which was a delight every time we would be back after a night out. The food they serve is delicious but it definitely is a westernized menu, so if you are looking for something more local going out is advised! An employee called Philip, was brilliant! He remembered our names throughout our stay and was always very helpful, and made sure our needs were met. He was genuinely friendly and warm, he wasn't too imposing which can be difficult for my husband and I as we are quite the introvert. The establishment is environmentally conscious and promotes sustainability throughout their facilities. Overall, I cannot fault our stay at this hotel. We would gladly stay at their other locations given the opportunity again. Highly recommend!

We just spent an amazing few days at The Funny Lion Hotel on Coron, and we're still grinning from ear to ear. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like part of the family - they were so friendly and welcoming, it felt a bit like coming home. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with two stunning pools that were perfect for lounging around and soaking up the sun. We spent hours floating around, sipping cocktails and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was insane - we're talking made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, and all the Filipino breakfast favorites. We were surprised! And the best part? The staff were always happy to refill our coffee cups and make sure we had everything we needed. But the real highlight of our stay was the hotel's restaurant 'The Hunt'. The food was seriously delicious - we're talking tasty local dishes, and drunk fresh, sweet coconut water. We ended up eating there every night, and we were never disappointed. The staff were super knowledgeable about the menu, and they always had great recommendations. Overall, we're so glad we chose The Funny Lion Hotel for our Coron getaway. The combination of amazing service, beautiful facilities, and delicious food made for an unforgettable trip. We can't wait to come back and do it all again!

The Funny Lion is a very beautiful resort. Relaxing pools and jacuzzi's. Very nice bay view from the rooftop bar. Everything is manicured and very clean. Excellent staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I stayed in a Savannah king room garden view for 4 nights. Big room, very comfortable bed. Nice shower with strong water pressure. On our Anniversary while we were out diving, the staff decorated the room with flowers. We also reserved a private poolside 4-course dinner. Food, drinks, and setting was perfect! During our stay we ate all our meals at the resort. Both restaurants had excellent choices and the food was delicious, including the breakfast buffet. Saturday night they had an excellent buffet with poolside seating and live acoustic music. Totally chilled vibe. For sure this is the best resort in Coron. They even packed a nice take-out breakfast for our early departure. 10 out of 5 stars.

It was an exceptional stay. From the first minute (we arrived 2 hours before official check-in) the staff was amazing. Helpful and accommodating. It's the amazing staff and the little things that made our stay exceptional. Like changing daily free drinks in the mini bar or the help I received when I lost my way and ended up in the staff room. The rooftop terrace, the whirlpools there and the friendly bar lady made it one of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset. All our extra requests were met (pick-up, laundry,...) and they even placed a pre-birthday decoration in the room after we mentioned our reason to celebrate at the check-in. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Nice boutique style hotel in a quiet location just outside Coron Town. Lovely rooftop bar with great views.Nice pool and restaurant area. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.

Our twin room was poorly layed out. There were no bedside tables and only one hard chair. The clothes hanger was by way of a short rail above/in front of the mirror in the sink area. This allowed only short garments to be hung. There was no facility for clothes storage.

Great stay at The Funny Lion. Very friendly staff and very attentive. They remember your name and room number which is a lovely touch. Room and pools are ideal for chilling. Great good at both restaurants and the sunset jacuzzis are amazing on the rooftop. It’s a little way from the main town centre, but we didn’t really rate the town for food and drinks, so not an issue. The front desk organised our island hopping trips for us. We did one group tour and one private. I would definitely recommend private as it makes the whole experience 10x better.
