We loved Charlie's El Nido! The hotel meets European standards and was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to the Philippines. It’s super clean, modern, and newly built. The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating, and the huge room with a beautiful bathroom and pool view was fantastic. The spa center was excellent, and the free shuttle service to/from the town was a great bonus. Highly recommend! 10/10 !!

Honestly, nothing! The only minor thing is that it’s a 10-15 minute ride from the town, but we knew this before booking, and the hotel's amazing quality more than makes up for the distance. Plus, the free shuttle service makes it super convenient.

The transfer service to the airport and town was very convenient, and the concierge team did an excellent job arranging tours and spa appointments. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the Filipino food booth, which served some of the best local dishes we’ve tried. The pool was spacious and enjoyable, becoming a favourite spot during our stay.

The bathroom in our luxurious pool-access room had a bad smell every time the exhaust fan was turned on, which detracted from the overall experience. The hotel seemed to offer two distinct classes of accommodation, spacious and luxurious rooms for couples or families versus smaller, hostel-like rooms for groups of friends. While the price reflects El Nido’s market, it felt a bit steep considering the issues with the bathroom and the mixed room experiences.

The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. We had issues with our ferry and had to reschedule the whole trip and they were there to help us out. The pool is very nice, the gym clean and well equipped, the facilities clean and green, the van service works really well. Breakfast was excellent and varied. All in all, great value for money, very close to the airport and to all the facilities and restaurants of Lío Beach. After exploring El Nido for a few days, we think the best options around El Nido were on that area. It's a bit further from the center of town but much more relaxing than other areas. There's a yoga studio as well.

Very comfortable stay and great customer service. Beds were very comfortable and rooms and amenities very clean. The buffet breakfast was lovely with a variety of sweet and savoury options, there is even a chef to cook up eggs and pancakes fresh which was a lovely added touch. Pool was nice and clean and nice spa facilities as well. The hotel also picked us up from the airport and dropped us off which was very nice of them.

Although the shuttle service was helpful, it would be more ideal if there were more timing so that we could get to town without the need for a Tuktuk

Staff and Service is outstanding. One of the most friendly staff i have ever seen. Hotel is very nice. beautyfull pool and eating area. Rooms are perfectly clean and very nice. perfect shuttle service and one of the most beautyfull beach of the area quite close by (lio beach). food is great and drinks fantastic (specially mojito).

Shower was not really warm but thats ok at this klima. The walls are extremly thin. You can hear your neighbours and people in the pool area very well. Sleeping longer than 7 am is not easy.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, and is well maintained with a great pool and restaurant. The rooms are good, and we enjoyed the breakfast. We had a slight issue regarding a meal we ordered from the restaurant, but the kind staff were quick to make it up to us.

The only things I could say is that the housekeepers would frequently take things and not replenish them, such as towels, glasses etc, it got a bit annoying. Also the shuttle service isn’t very frequent so would often need a tricycle.

Hello Ed, This is Michael and Malou. You met us at breakfast (long haired blonde guy and my beautiful angel.) First of all I want to personally thank you and Kat for suggesting and executing our fantastic experience at Velargo…we spent the whole day. It was an experience I will not forget. Secondly, I would like to bring your attention to what was created for us by Abdul and the housekeepers for our return to our room. Please see attached video. It made me cry it was so beautiful because I had spoke with Abdul about possibly going to the waterfall up north, Abdul said it was possibly dried up which I understood being from Hawaii. Abdul and the housekeeping staff as you will see..brought the waterfall to us… I have been around the world my friend, and I have never had anyone take such care as to create an artwork on my bed..let alone do it with such artistry and flair. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Please on my behalf share this letter with Abdul and the housekeepers who attended to our room as I would like them to know what it meant to us. Everything and everyone exceeded my expectations.

The staff was excellent with their attentiveness to details. They were very proactive, friendly, and treated us like family. We had a special dinner made by Chef Roy and the staff treated us like we were the only guest in the property. They had a reserved table for us complete with dining set and candle lights. The staff also went out of their way to provide us accomodation to town on their off hours when one of their staff happened to be going to town. Although the facility was quite a ways from town, I actually like it better than being in the crowded town. I felt less like a tourist but more of a vacationer.

The view to our room was next to a property that looked like a construction area.

The bed was nice but I have a pre-existing back issue so I will never be happy with anything but my own bed. It is not a criticism of your bed. The staff were great! All of them! We got worried about the typhoon systems. It would be helpful for people like us from Canada who don’t experience typhoons to know that they don’t cause much harm on Palawan.

The pizza was not cooked well enough. You should cook it longer. If this is the only bad thing the you have nothing to worry about.

Location was good although outside of the main El Nido town. The hotel provides shuttle services by van to some popular spots around El Nido. The locals all know of this hotel, so that made things very easy. Hotel restaurant is fairly decent although service is quite slow but that's not unusual for Philippines Staff were very helpful and helped us locate some of our belongings after we left them in the room. Staff also helped us book island hopping trips. A really nice restaurant next door, about 5 mins away. I'd recommend going there for dinner.

The surrounding is a bit run down, lots of bugs and mosquitos, the lobby is open air so our jungle friends make it their own home. The kitchen exhaust is always on and can be heard from inside the room, we had to tell the staff to turn them off.
