We absolutely loved this place! Diane, the host, was amazing. She told us about the best beaches to go for day trips (Lio Beach and Nacpan Beach) and which beaches have the best sunsets nearby (Vanilla Beach). She was also just lovely to talk to during the really delicious breakfasts they provide. We rented scooters almost every day we were there, and enjoyed the complimentary shuttle service to El Nido beach. It is a family run hotel, and we really appreciated everyone who works there was always so kind and willing to help. The rooms are very clean and modern, plus it was nice to have a little outdoor space for relaxing. It is quite close to El Nido beach (about a 4 minute ride to El Nido proper). We loved being nearby but in a quieter, more relaxed part of the area. Definitely would book another stay when we will undoubtedly visit the Philippines again. Thank you for everything!

A Hidden Gem in El Nido I stayed at Bella Athena Gardens for three nights, and it was an incredible experience. The location is peaceful yet conveniently close to El Nido’s stunning beaches and attractions. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a private balcony overlooking lush gardens—a perfect spot to unwind. The pool area felt like paradise, and the on-site restaurant served delicious meals, including fresh and hearty breakfasts. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional staff. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and helpful recommendations made my stay unforgettable. Bella Athena Gardens is a tranquil retreat with top-notch service and beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

Its was a bit difficult to close the doors of my room and I was worried about theft but that was not an issue.

Phillipina food & their hospitality.. this is a nice place to stay with family culture.. easy for travelling with family & we stay for a week in this hotel for hopping island & kids also can swim at nearest beachclub.. The hotel also help us for many activity with good price for private family tour: 1. Prepare car for pick up from airport 2. Give us recommend tour travel boat for hopping island (we choose tour a + c) 3. And they help us for rent a car for city tour (we went to 3 beach, lio beach, vanila beach & nacpan beach, kids love it!!)

Unfortunately they only serve breakfast only... FACT Their food is DELICIOUS!! So i think, they should prepare a restaurant, so guests can order food at any time.. Lucky us, for the last night we can try their phillipina's traditional food for our family dinner..

I like the location it’s in a quiet location of the town; 10 mins walk to the town proper; I love the setting of the property lots of trees; staff and owner were super accommodating ( shout out to Pabs and Joshua)! They gave me breakfast for two since I am traveling solo and I booked for two; free ride from the property to main town until 10 pm ( or depends on high tide times)

I like to go out and stay late so coming home late is a hassle; the property is located where transportation is impossible after 7 pm until 3 or 4 am (depends on the high tide times) . So either you walk through the high tide which isn’t bad but if you’re walking by yourself it gets really dark

The cleanliness of the rooms is extraordinary at this place and the room was very comfortable. I like the little walk into town with an ocean view. Food is also of good quality. Beautiful hotel and pretty good location.

The quality of the staff in the reception/restaurant varies quite a bit. Some are great, some less great. The driver, Pablo I think, is great. He always smile and wave when he recognized customer in town. Remember to tell your guests that the tide might prevent them from getting home at night.

We LOVED the staff and the atmosphere! Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also really really good and included in the price. Room was small, but clean and with nice wooden floor - we had all we needed. Value for money is outstanding in my opinion. We also booked the ferry to Coron through them and got good price and no service fee - in the end it was cheaper than booking it online. They also offer scooter and motorbike rental. We booked only 2 nights but ended up staying for 12! (They helped accommodate us and just had to switch rooms once which ended up a bit bigger room which was great) It is set away from the town and we loved the walk along the sea front and through the village. If it's raining or you don't want to walk, Pablo can give you a ride in the tuk tuk! He's a great driver! The rooms are really comfortable and kept lovely and clean. It can be noisy through the night with the rain, insects and frogs but we also loved that. It really felt like home for a few weeks and enjoyed breakfast there every morning and the communal area to eat and sit when not in our room. Great to be able to refill our water bottles and use the microwave too and be given beach towels when needed. They also helped with booking tours and giving recommendations for the area. A great stay and would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Not negatives, just things to be aware of so don't let it stop you from booking! When it rained a lot the room got quite damp but I think this would have been the case anywhere - there was a lot of rain!! The second room we stayed smelt a bit damp too but they had put an automatic airfreshner to help so were aware of that. The air con was a bit tricky to get right and could be noisy but very glad to have it! They have a few dogs on site so just watch out for dog poo. It is cleaned when spotted but nearly stepped in it a few times! The road also gets flooded but we avoided having to walk through it with a bit of planning and utilising the free tuk tuk rides on offer! You can always wash your feet if you get caught out!

Bernard, family and staff are super friendly. Food was great. AC was working well. A bit outside of town but it is walkable and Pablo was an excellent driver to town.

The local beach was not that great, just good for taking a dip but not much for snorkeling or swimming. Check tour prices posted around town before asking Bella Athena to book something.

Generally clean rooms (saw 2 ants) with private bathroom, a/c and heated shower. Lovely breakfast and good Internet for a cheap but quite big room. Also they have their own transport to get to the airport for relatively cheap if needed.

No lock on the door that i could find, water isn't drinkable from the tap (but thats everywhere on the island) and a few ants everywhere. Also it's a small walk to anywhere if that bothers you.

I loved to stay at Bella Athena Garden. The best breakfast. Very stylish place. Drinking water and coffee all day free. Good room size, clean, working ac, hot water in bathroom. Location is good walking distance to El nido center but if you dont like walking you can rent a motorbike in this hotel for good price. But especially I liked the administrator of this hotel. She was very polite, educated and perfectly controling situation in the hotel. The best reviews about her.
