The owners were amazing. Helped arrange island hopping for cheaper than the shops. Arranged motorbike rental from a shop across the road without having to leave my passport. Always polite and happy even when I came back at 4am. Offered to clean the often. The location is so close to the beach and the main area (1 minute walk), yet no noise. They are also near a local generator, so always had electricity for a/c 24 hours a day. The room isn't large, but it was fine for me and clean.

Only thing I can think of is I would have liked thicker covers, but just don't crank the a/c to low. Also, no hotel I stayed at in the Philippines provide covers, so not a real negative.

The hotel is probably the best value for money in El Nido. The room is clean and spacious. If you want to live in El Nido center, this is the place for you, all restaurants and bars are right next door, but the Ashoka Hotel is on a quiet (but safe) side street. Special mention should be made of the incredibly friendly and helpful owners, who are always ready to help (even at 5 a.m.!).

When you turn on the shower, it smells like rotten eggs for the first 2 minutes. I don't know if this is typical for El Nido (they always warn you about the tap water in town, don't brush your teeth with it!), but if you're not prepared for it, it's very frightening.

The owner is so lovely! We arrived really early from the airport (7:30am)and he let us use the showers and keep our bags there before our room was ready! (2pm) He also helped organise island hopping for us while we showered and changed! Room was clean and bed very comfy Good air conditioning The shower also had hot water! Convenient location to get to restaurants and island hopping tours. Food at the restaurant is also fresh and very tasty! Would 100% recommend staying here and would stay here again

Owner and Wife are beyond welcoming! Treat you like Family! I needed hot water for my French Press Coffee and they delivered Thermos every morning to my door. They booked travel and tours easily for me. Location is close to beach and central. Great Value for the money! Great food in Indian restaurant downstairs...always crowded is good sign.

The staff was incredible friendly and helpful. The room was decent, not the most modern but for the price it was very good and in a great location. Plus the food was delicious and you get a discount in the restaurant for staying in their hotel.

Really friendly and helpful owners, they allowed us to leave our main bags with them while we did a 3 day boat trip to Coron. Room was amazingly quiet considering you're in the middle of town! Good aircon. We stayed here before and after our boat trip and would stay again.

The bathrooms need updating - shower heads were old and leaking out of the hose fitting which made the water pressure poor. Hot water was intermittent. Water pressure in the sink tap was also poor and virtually unusable. Beds were too firm for our preference.

Great location! The hotel is well located next to everything you need in El Nido. The owners are very nice and helped to solve wifi issue very quickly. The food of the restaurant is deliciues (a bit pricey but it worth). Room is big and comfy.

Walls of the room are very thin, you can hear neighbours from other rooms very clearly. No pressure for shower or toilet flush :S.

This place is close to all the action.Quiet and comfortable room. Good aircon. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Strongly recommend you try the Indian restaurant attached. The food is delicious and reasonably priced 👍😋

The stair can be tricky coming back after a night of drinkies

Good location, around the corner from many restaurants but on a quiet street (can still hear some barking dogs at nights as everywhere, but not much other noice). Large room with modern and quiet AC. Comfortable bed, a table to put and some hangers for all the stuff. The owners were very nice and helpful.

Bathroom was a bit old, the toilet flushing didn't work that well. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep, was fine for us but good to know if you have a problem with that.
