Friendly ppl and staff and management was exceptional.

Some guests are slobs and take advantage of a great housekeeping staff.

Hi there, I was staying there for several time. The reason why I love the property it because about the bathrooms, lift and about the staff. Didn’t remember they name as I was spoken with they’re Ellen, Paul, James and Erick. Ellen such as a sweet person she’s helping held my umbrella during heavy raining and helped me to carry my stuff to my grab and James is very helpful person also and their manager the lady was so so sweet with the guest. I’ll always recommend my friends to stay there if they’re visiting Manila. 👍 👍 👍

Honestly I don’t like about the door 😂😅🤣 sometimes it freaking noisy when the other guests didn’t closed it properly. We’ll I understand about the safety purpose 👍

-Great mix of locals of the Philippines and travelers from abroad since rooftop is open to public in the evening -6 person dorm spacious so doesn’t feel cramped and includes pretty good sized closet to fit belongings you want to lock up -Breakfast included and the kitchen menu was great so don’t have to leave the hostel but also had many options to choose from -I think it’s good for anyone staying more long term temporarily as there is everything you need close by -central location for nightlife and bars, it’s nice to be walking distance so can go home whenever you want late at night

It can be noisy on Fridays and Saturdays in both the private rooms and dorm rooms because of rooftop dj, but if you’re a heavy sleeper like me it wasn’t ever an issue Walking tour could be improved, the first time I stayed a few years they used to showcase local businesses, restaurants and coffee shops in Poblacion.. would be nice if they did that again so guests know what’s around the neighborhood

Plenty of restaurants around and malls. The room (private room with double bed) had enough space to fully repack and organize your luggage. The bed was quite comfy. You can shower after you have checked out, which was nice as our flight was just in the evening after a hot day in Manila. The breakfast was limited but tasty. They serve toast, jam, peanut butter, one dish of the day. Additionally you got some eggs freshly made for you, which were really good. You have a rooftop bar and get a free drink per day. Great value for money here!

The bathroom was very clean but clearly needed some renovation / painting, as very often in the Philippines.

I’m from the Netherlands. Got the wrong taxi to the hostel (scammer). Desided to walk inside the hostel in the hope they could help me. And 3 of them helped me with the issue. Feld save in Z hostel. Also had a 8pers dorm which was dirty from the people. And I did got a free upgrade to 4pers dorm. Would recommend not to book 8pers because it looks like some Asian people stay there for months, and it’s not nice. The 4pers was perfect. The rooftop bar is amazing for a hostel.

Had 8pers dorm. Looked like some Asian people were living there. Stayed in the room all day, phone calling at 6a.m. Etc. You should take the 4pers dorm that one is perfect.

Very nice hostel with very good location near many restaurants, bars, etc. Hostel is clean and hot water is available as well😊. However, the highlight of this place is amazing personnel, which will go beyond to make you happy.

The hostel is on very busy street full of bars and restaurant and unfortunatelly windows don’t protect the noise coming inside the room. At the time of our stay at the hostel, every day there was a party either outside or inside of the hostel and since I am a very light sleeper, I could barely fall asleep due to noise. I raised this concern with the personnel and they kindly offered me different room, but since we stayed there only few nights, we decided not to change it.

It's a party hostel, so the music goes until late, late night on the weekends, and this could be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. The rooftop bar and free drinks were amazing! It's a good deal, and you can often encounter locals there too. The location is excellent as it is literally on the party street. Most of the staff were helpful.

The hostel is a little dated at this point, and it's a little dirty here and there, but still not too bad. The 5pm walking tour wasn't so great (it was run by another tourist, who's only been there for 2 weeks).

Friendly and helpful staff, smooth check in and out. Loved the complimentary extras like free walking tour of the area and a free cocktail at the rooftop bar each night of your stay. Rooftop bar has amazing views over the city skyline and a good choice of drinks & snacks. Room was clean with sufficient storage and bed comfortable.

The one downside was that we didn't sleep well for the 2 nights we stayed there due to the loud music booming from the bar til 2am on Thurs night and 3am on Friday night, but they do warn about that on their website. It's a shame as we had just arrived in the Philippines and were very jetlagged and needed to catch up on sleep. Don't recommend it if you want an early night! Noise cancelling headphones helped.

Nice rooftop Free cocktail everyday Nicely located in Makati Free breakfast till 10

A man in my room tried to touch me and showed unacceptable behaviour. When I adressed this to the staff, they just moved me to a new room. They talked to me about how I felt which was sweet but in the end it is not solving anything. The guy was still there the next morning which gave me a really unsafe feeling in the hostel so I had to leave the hostel to wait for my bus. Beds are uncomfortable, AC is blowing you away Construction work next to the hostel. They start at 7am

I enjoyed my stay at Z Hostel. Great location with lots of food and drink options. The room and bed were comfortable. Hostel hosts Mark and Fernando were extremely helpful with traveller tips and restaurant recommendations. I recommend joining the daily hostel organised walking tour to get your bearings in Poblacion and to meet other new arrivals, particularly if travelling on your own.

It's not that easy to meet people at the hostel - the walking tour helps, but the hostel needs more activities to get people talking/mixing. Appreciate that I was staying during the wet season, so guests may have been lower than normal.
