Really easy to socialize. The rooftop area is pretty cool! They organize daily free tours around the area which I couldn't attend but I heard they're fun. Breakfast was a nice bonus as well. The manager (I think) was very nice as well, overall very nice atmosphere. The volunteers were also very helpful. Will probably stay again when flying out of the Philippines. The area is good and there are plenty of food options around. I recommend this place especially if you're a solo traveler.
It's very noisy. Make sure you wear earplugs if you want to get a good night's sleep. If you want to party you should be alright. The bathroom wasn't that clean (well it wasn't dirty per se, more like old and the sink was rusty, etc). I didn't feel uncomfortable in that sense but this is the one thing I'd improve when it comes to facilities. Everything else was clean. My bed was right next to the A/C which meant it was very cold sometimes and noisy. Maybe it depends on the room.

Friendly ppl and staff and management was exceptional.
Some guests are slobs and take advantage of a great housekeeping staff.

Check in was smooth and easy. It included breakfast served from 7:30am to 10:00 fresh fruit, toast, eggs and cereal. They give you a voucher for a free cocktail, fresh towel. Staff and volunteers are very lovely specially Andrew and JoJo. They also have a walking tour around the hostel at 4:30pm. The hostel it’s 30 min by grab from “intramuros” nice landmark to visit! You can do the complex walking everything it’s 15 to 20 walking. The hostel has an ATM inside and a local travel agency. Oh! And they have a chat in WhatsApp, that’s nice to keep in touch with them in case you need something.
If I have to say something maybe that the bunks beds don’t have a curtain for more privacy, however, that helped to keep yourself open to new friendships!

We spent 2 nights at this amazing hostel in the popular area of Makati. A gem of a place, ideally positioned to enjoy the amenities, food & night life on offer. The hostel itself is well run, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. This is very much a backpackers venue, using this as a stopover before going off to the islands. They offer some really lovely touches with breakfast included in the price offering a good choice, including cereal, toast, various types of cooked eggs, coffee, and juices. A particularly nice touch is the daily walking tour they offer at 4:30pm where volunteers take you to see some of the local sites and experience some of the local customs. This culminates in everyone meeting up on the rooftop bar for a complementary drink, amazing views of the skyline and great company. A big shout out to Gwen, she is so friendly, made amazing drinks and was great fun, Perry & Dante for their enthusiasm, helpfulness, and knowledge and Juju for her local knowledge, big personality and friendliness. What more could you ask for.
The second night we stayed a club close the hostel played such loud music that you could feel the bass. This started at 12.00am and went on to 4.00am. It’s impossible to sleep with that level of volume. So we had very little sleep. It put us off so much we have changed where we stay at the end our holiday.

Hi there, I was staying there for several time. The reason why I love the property it because about the bathrooms, lift and about the staff. Didn’t remember they name as I was spoken with they’re Ellen, Paul, James and Erick. Ellen such as a sweet person she’s helping held my umbrella during heavy raining and helped me to carry my stuff to my grab and James is very helpful person also and their manager the lady was so so sweet with the guest. I’ll always recommend my friends to stay there if they’re visiting Manila. 👍 👍 👍
Honestly I don’t like about the door 😂😅🤣 sometimes it freaking noisy when the other guests didn’t closed it properly. We’ll I understand about the safety purpose 👍

Great Stay in the Heart of Makati Z hostel is located in a perfect spot in Makati, close to everything you need . The rooms and common areas were always clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, and everything felt fresh and comfortable. My room was cozy, with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The common areas were spacious and provided a great place to relax and meet other travelers. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They always had a smile and were eager to provide recommendations for local spots or help with any issues. The hostel offers great amenities like free Wi-Fi, and a cozy lounge area. They even had fun activities for guests which made the stay even more enjoyable. There was a great community vibe at the hostel. It felt like a home away from home, with plenty of opportunities to meet fellow travelers. For the price, the quality of the hostel exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic option for budget travelers looking for a central, clean, and friendly place to stay. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Makati. Whether you're traveling solo or with friends, it's a fantastic place to base yourself while exploring the city! I'd like to give a special thank you to Gwen They went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Whether it was offering helpful advice about the local area or simply being incredibly kind and attentive, they truly made a difference in my experience. Thank you for making my time in Makati unforgettable!

-Great mix of locals of the Philippines and travelers from abroad since rooftop is open to public in the evening -6 person dorm spacious so doesn’t feel cramped and includes pretty good sized closet to fit belongings you want to lock up -Breakfast included and the kitchen menu was great so don’t have to leave the hostel but also had many options to choose from -I think it’s good for anyone staying more long term temporarily as there is everything you need close by -central location for nightlife and bars, it’s nice to be walking distance so can go home whenever you want late at night
It can be noisy on Fridays and Saturdays in both the private rooms and dorm rooms because of rooftop dj, but if you’re a heavy sleeper like me it wasn’t ever an issue Walking tour could be improved, the first time I stayed a few years they used to showcase local businesses, restaurants and coffee shops in Poblacion.. would be nice if they did that again so guests know what’s around the neighborhood

Plenty of restaurants around and malls. The room (private room with double bed) had enough space to fully repack and organize your luggage. The bed was quite comfy. You can shower after you have checked out, which was nice as our flight was just in the evening after a hot day in Manila. The breakfast was limited but tasty. They serve toast, jam, peanut butter, one dish of the day. Additionally you got some eggs freshly made for you, which were really good. You have a rooftop bar and get a free drink per day. Great value for money here!
The bathroom was very clean but clearly needed some renovation / painting, as very often in the Philippines.

The staff was amazing – they gave me great tips for Manila, and I also joined the free 4:30pm walk in Makati. Jojo, Andrew, and James were fantastic volunteers, and I really enjoyed learning about the area with them. Breakfast is included in the price, and my double room was comfortable. The music and vibe on the rooftop were great too – I got two free drinks and it was the perfect spot to hang out after the walk. I’d strongly recommend staying at this hostel, and if I come back to Manila, I’ll definitely stay here again.
