Extraordinary place to stay. Staff is marvelous. Location is fantastic. Bungalows are fun, spotless, and quiet, ours overlooked the bay- sunrises and sunsets beautiful, full moon even more so.

I wasn’t aware when I booked that it was boat access only, not a problem, just caught me off-guard. Take lots of cash, none of the tours or dives can be put on your hotel bill.

Absolutely loved Al Faro! From the moment we arrived to a welcome by two of the staff holding drinks for us to the moment we left...9 days later! We initially booked two nights but stayed for 9! We were at the end of a long trip and had been and seen many places in indo and the Philippines and Al Faro was too amazing to leave and wanted to end the travel feeling relaxed. The staff are incredible, friendly, happy and just know how hospo works. The bungalows are gorgeous (no air con but even in the height of summer we managed). No wifi in the rooms which was actually nice, forced us off our devices to read and relax. The restaurant and pool are is just magnificent. I had a massage which was in a ufo shaped bungalow which was soooo good and we did a boat trip to Lake Kayangan and the Twin Lagoon, the twin lagoon in particular was spectacular. Loved it and can't recommend this place enough!

This hotel is perfect for people who just want to relax after long days of trips and adventures around the Philippines. The room is very clean and beyond beautiful with amazing views. The hotel is on top of a cliff so be ready for stairs and I promise it's worth it. The views are beyond perfect wherever you are in the hotel. Your only food option is in the hotel but you won't be disappointed, it was delicious. They provide private tours to explore the area and they offer multiple options to choose from, the pickup happens from the hotel which is very helpful, especially since it's located in Busuanga 1 hour away from Coron Town Proper. The massage there is also amazing and worth a try. Everyone is so helpful and kind so the overall experience was a 10/10.

Liked the views overlooking the bay especially during sunset. The rooms were unique and very private and peaceful,so could relax at our own leisure . Enjoyed the swimming pool and also the food was delicious.

The main concern was getting to the location as there wasn’t much choice of transport from the airport or to Coron Town excepting using the resort’s transport . The other issue being that our toilet was behind an open wall in the room , which is a privacy matter especially for my partner and rather embarrassing . Also getting to the resort required walking up a long series of steps , but worth the effort once arriving at the resort and being greeted by the Al Faro staff with a welcome greeting.

The place is outstanding! Although it is far away from Coron Town Proper, that adds to the charm. The hotel makes it easy to organise the ferry across to the accom, which is part of the experience! Loved the pool, general family vibe, good food, free kayaks, massages, sunset view! If you stay here make sure you spend lots of time at the accom instead of heading out doing things all day, it’s so relaxing. The staff are so beautiful from the welcome, to helping organise any activities and departure.

The distance might put some people off. The price of hiring a scooter is more expensive. No air con or wifi in the room.

The view was exceptional. The staff were brilliant and attentive. They set up a special table for me and my partner to celebrate her birthday. Put up balloons etc it was so lovely of them to put in the effort. It was quiet and peaceful. Food was delicious (best chicken adobo I’ve had in phillipines). Got an incredibly lovely warm welcome as well as we entered.

I didn’t mind it at all but just be aware if you aren’t very fit it’s a bit of a walk up to the reception and the property. So if you struggle to walk or you are very unfit just prepare yourself!

Awesome place. Awesome ambience. Awesome food. Above all awesome staff. Homely, caring, never say no to any request from the guests. Unique experience. Resort bound to nature, blended in nature. Owner personally supervises everything. Tastefully decorated. High attention to detail. Classy tastes - unexpected in a remote location. Best is when they organised an evening barbeque on a Island beach. Terrific!

Airport pickup and drop was too expensive. Hire a self drive car at the airport instead. Toilets have no privacy. Ahead of its time maybe. But way too ahead. Not everyone will be comfy to take a dump with someone else in the room. 🤣😜

One of my best accommodations. Beautiful view from the room, excellent cleaning and reasonably priced food. This hotel is perfect for couples. Very friendly and collaborative treatment by the staff that works there. Great trips arranged by the hotel as a group or private. We were greeted by a cocktail and welcome singing from the staff gathered, super cute! Transfer from the airport cost 2000 PHP. I managed to step on a sea urchin in Bohol - thanks to the staff for treating my wounds. Thanks for all! I plan to visit this place again sometime in the future.

This was incredible!!! The best accommodation I've stay in during my 2 weeks in Philippines. It's not extremly expensive but it is absolutely insane. Everything is literally perfect. Beautiful pool with the view, the garden, flowers everywhere, attentive staff, perfect food and drinks, OMG I liked it sooo much. I need to get back definitely again!!

We came late at midnight by rented scooter and we missed the arrow to the boat, which takes you to the hotel. It was a bit complicated to find it, but it's marked on google maps (gotel, but also the pier to board the "Ferry"). The bigger problem was that they told us we should contact them so that they can send a boat for us, but we had no phone signal so there were no option how to contact them. We came to the hotel (resort) 2 minutes away and they called them for us, fortunatelly. But this is not perfect, maybe I've just had bad SIM card company.

We loved the experience of reaching Al Faro by a short boat journey across the bay. Once reaching the hotel, it was the most spectacular view we have ever seen, panoramic views of the bay, and it was somehow better from our room (room tres). We really enjoyed how we were so separated from busy parts of the island like Coron Town, while still only being a 45 minute journey away. From the moment we got there, the staff were so helpful, warm and welcoming. They introduced themselves right away and greeted us every time we returned, and took such an interest in our day. They always carried our stuff to and from the boats, and accommodated our every need. One day, we did a private boat tour, which was ideal because we got picked up right at the hotel by boat, and the staff packed us snorkels, fins, lunch and drinks in a cooler box to take with us, and even carried them to the boat for us. Another day, we wanted to rent a moped - they called the bike shop to have it ready, and got the boat man to drop us right there. It was clean, the bed was very comfy and we got great sleeps.

The WiFi didnt reach the room, but it was an opportunity to take in the peaceful views. There was no AC, so it was hot when moving around the room. Although, the fan on the ceiling kept us cool at night as it was above the bed. Menu was sufficient but limited.
