Really enjoyed a short break at Mount Avangan, if you want to escape the tourists of Coron for a few days this is definitely the place, also it was nice to have a pool to jump into. The walk to the viewpoint is easy and provides stunning views. Evan and Leanne were exceptional hosts who personally helped us with food, transfers and tours. The food in particular was great, home cooked and very reasonably priced, we ate there both nights and ordered the same thing.

The road is a little challenging if you’re not very comfortable on a scooter, however any transport arranged by the property was all fine and reasonably priced.

I enjoyed my time here very much, so extended my stay. The hosts are perfectly welcoming and helpful. Facilities are basic, yes, but didn't prevent my feeling thoroughly comfortable and safe. It's a little way out of Coron (so wonderfully quiet - apart from the usual animal noises) but transportation from to/from the airport, into town and to the port is easily arranged. A light breakfast is included and the dinner options are delicious! There is a pool too!! A short - though steep - walk takes you to the top of Mount Avangan, where I enjoyed a sublime solitary sunset :)

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The room was spacious and clean, ensuring a comfortable experience. The host and their family were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, assisting with scooter rental, offering island hopping experiences, and providing convenient transfers to/from the ferry port/airport as well as into Coron town. The delicious food and the serene, nature-surrounded location added to the overall charm. The expansive and clean pool was a delightful bonus. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway, offering a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Coron town.

We just fell in love with the family that owns this homestay. They picked us up from the main road and we had the full family greeting us and happy to see us. The restaurant has great food and the rooms are just as they are described. The swimming pool is big.

It is far away from Coron city. Therefore it is not easy to just go around to a restaurant for dinner without renting a motorcycle (and the way down is for experts) or using the shuttle services (payable) of the homestay. So just consider what are you planning to do and the location might or not suit you.

Beautiful location, outside of town. Perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of town. The road to get to the property is quite rough, but the hosts will shuttle you to and from town for a fee of 200 pesos/person. We ate all our meals here and they were delicious, they have a menu to order from. We enjoyed the free breakfast. The pool is huge and beautiful, we enjoyed cooling off in it throughout the day. We stayed in the A-frame tent, no A/C but we were cool enough with the fan they provide, there’s also a bug net they provide. They do have cabins with A/C though! They have a trail that you can hike to see the sunset! It was so beautiful! Definitely need more something than flip flops to do the hike! The family is so kind and helpful! They made us breakfast to-go at 5:30am when we had to catch our ferry early!

The location may be a downside for some as it is quite isolated, however this was a perk for us as we wanted a quiet place to relax! If you’re confident on a scooter you could navigate the road yourself, however if not just ask the hosts for a ride!

The hosts are amazing and are doing everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They also offer pickup and drop-off to town, harbour and airport as well as scooter rental and many more things! Furthermore, you can hike up the small trail for an amazing sunset/sunrise and have a quick dip in the pool after having lunch or dinner. It is a quiet place outside of town which lets you relax, enjoy nature and quietness. The host are constantly improving the site and I’m so excited to see what they will do next! The place is amazing, so relax compared to the rest of Coron! We had a great time there, chilling in the pool or in the restaurant area/with the staff. The couple running this property are the most genuine people and are doing everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The lady cooked great food. Very worth staying in for lunch or diner ! Also, you can hike the mountain right beside the property for about 20 minutes to see the best sunsets/sunrise of the island!

At first we were a bit skeptical about the road to get there, but after you do it once or twice, it's really not that bad.

Evan and Leanne have such a wonderful place to stay. The room was spacious & bed comfy. the aircon & the fan worked great and we appreciated having a hot shower! we stayed in one night and the food was excellent and the shop on site is handy! both hosts are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. due to the location they offer a drop off/pick up which is Evan ferrying you in and out of the town proper if you like. we rented a bike through then as well which was super easy and arranged within minutes! the pool area is good, no sun loungers but it’s not that kind of place. we just enjoyed a later evening dip after a long day out and about which was lovely.

it isn’t far from town (around 15mins), but you either need to rent a bike or use the shuttle service on offer due to the road. tricycles do struggle!

We just loved it here ! Perfect setting, rustic, quiet, its absolutely perfect for couples, families etc. Evan and his family are amazing and cant do enough for you ,they helped us book a boat trip and provided a taxi service for us due to the rural location.

Security needs to be improved , perhaps a security box in the tent for valuables/ money etc. Also , its quite expensive to get rides into and out of Coron town which is a factor to consider in terms of getting food etc.

Nature. A bit of a breeze. Away from the city and the heat. Biiiig pool - so great. Also in the tents: comfy to sleep. Owners are lovely. Provide pick up. I loved my 2 days. Just be aware what you want. Swimming in the pool, afterwards an outdoor shower (under the stars) and so on......

The mattresses were not super big but enough for me (1,68)
