The staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in all the way to our check-out which was at 5am. Everything that we asked for including airport transfer were done promptly and the communication was done very clearly and the transport came on time, with the driver's contact given in case. The room was very clean (cleaner than some hotels I stayed in) and the sheets and towels were freshly laundered and smelled wonderful. We had a really good rest for our early morning activities, and there was even a drinking water dispenser that had both hot and cold water in our room, so we didn't have to hunt for shops to buy bottled water. Oh and I love that there were actual parrots at the resort!

Parrot resort is fantastic, I mean the parrots alone are amazing to see, Twinkie the doggie too! The staff are super welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, bacon and pancakes made fresh to order on outdoor cooking station. Great coffee! The pool was awesome for a quick cool down after the gym. And the free tuk tuk rides within 5km, really came in handy. We made a trip to white beach and also got dropped off at the bus upon our departure. The room was super clean and spacious with personal touches, like some delicious mangos! Can’t say enough good things. The value you get for your money is well worth it. Great location too.

Cons - for fellow travellers with extensive cons lists, may be helpful to check our entitlement and privilege and not fall into comparing with “back home” or other places we’ve travelled to. Important to understand local context and impacts these reviews can have. Unsolicited advice or constructive criticism can perhaps be discussed in person, and some best kept to ourselves. As a collective and global citizens we can aim to do better and leave people and places better than we found them, whenever possible. And please tip generously if you can :)

The service of Jhon, the restaurant and bar staff, was excellent. How great it was, It is the first thing I'm writing here now! The swimming pool was also well maintained. The atmosphere of the whole hotel is superb. It's a hotel that feels like it's our own place. The man at the front desk of the hotel offers a great service. The two ladies at the hotel front are very pretty and provide good service. They cook eggs and bacon in the morning. It was very grateful. The cleaning staff was very kind and helpful. You can ask the front desk for help, but It's okay even if you ask for help from the cleaner. It's a good idea to give these people extra tips. The owner of this hotel is Superman. The boss who can do everything himself runs the hotel. So don't hold it in your mind if there is something uncomfortable. Just saying to front about that politely and someone in hotel will help you actively. 100% willing to revisit. I'm planning to visit again. I'm planning to visit again. I used it twice on purpose. It's because I have a strong will!! Hey, please don't visit this hotel too many times. Because I don't have a place to be because of you! I'm appreciate to this hotel and people because they gave me a precious memories. (+You don't need to dismiss it as my personal experience. my girlfriend liked this hotel more than I liked :)

The taste of breakfast was normal. Maybe it would be my personal taste problem. The gym was a little rusty. The swimming pool size is small. The number of sunbed chairs next to the pool is also small. I used it well with my friends, but I couldn't help but pay attention in case someone else couldn't use it because of us. It takes a little longer if you order a meal at a hotel. The bathroom is divided into a shower and a wash, but only the shower is drained. In the morning, it was a little noisy because the parrot cried, but there was no problem because I knew it. What's important is that these disappointments are very trivial. I'd like to remind you that this hotel is wonderful.

We were a group of 6 and everybody loved their stay. It was a home from home experience with clean and comfortable rooms. The pool and garden areas were all well kept and the parrots were an interesting distraction.Breakfast was simple but nice and fresh. The owners should be commended for their hard work in ensuring that everything is up to scratch and in good working order. They were helpful in arranging tours in and around the resort. The free tuk tuk transport service was invaluable. A good laundry service was also offered.

Some of the night lighting could have been better but that's only because the older members of our party found the unfamiliarity of stepped areas challenging in the dark.

Everything!!! The suites/rooms were private, large, clean, and modern. The bathrooms were open, fitted with chrome and you were also provided amenities. The pool was cleaned daily and the gardens surrounding were kept well. The villa is close enough to the centre requiring a 5 minute tuk tuk or the closest beach is only a 10-15 minute walk down the same road of the villa. There is a 7/11 at the top of the street also making it convenient for anything you may need. The staff were lovely, extremely accommodating and willing to help with tours, transport, late breakfast or early breakfast or anything else that may crop up.

Felt at home straight away. Amazing staff who went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Great buffet breakfast and really good having an on site bar and restaurant to go to. A peaceful and relaxed setting, off the main street, to go back to after a busy day exploring. Room was really clean and little touches like mini bar, filtered water cooler and quiet aircon a plus. They offer to organise tours, taxis for onward travel with people they know. Thank you all, including the parrots, for such a great stay!

The property was close to the Center of Moaboal. It is well kept and immaculately clean. My room was clean, spacious and had everything one needed. My personal favourite was the water dispenser for hot and cold water. No need having to fetch it from nearby shops on a regular basis. Breakfast was enough to keep you going. Tours could be booked through the resort with a very trustworthy tour operator. My trip couldn’t take place due to very bad weather. Communication was fab! The staff at the resort is wonderful and the food at the restaurant outstanding. Fresh, large portions of local and international cuisine prepared with a twist. Massages are offered through Marietta which I enjoyed a couple of times. To get to the resort, I used William, a driver recommended by the resort for both trips. Perfect choice.

Great breakfast, great little place with a lovely garden. The staff were really friendly and helpful. This is a small business, not a big hotel and I couldn't had asked for more. Rooms were very clean. About 5 minutes walk to the Moalboal coastal area centre. I loved the fact that there were so many parrots being well looked after in the place. If you don't like high volume birdsong in the morning though, this may not be the place for you.

There was nothing I didn't like

The hotel looked exactly the same as it does in the pictures. It’s a beautiful spot with a pool, restaurant, bar and even gym which are all lit up at night which looks very cool and offer a really zen like experience during the day. It was the perfect sanctuary for me to relax and beat the jet lag. The breakfast every morning was yummy and the rooms are super nice and comfortable with thick enough walls which meant I couldn’t hear the nearby roosters which wake up early which was an issue for my friends staying in other nearby hotels. The best thing about the place I think is that the staff are super kind and friendly and you feel really welcomed at the hotel. I would definitely book this place again.

Loved our stay! The location is great, easy walking distance to loads of cafes, the beach etc. The rooms are spacious, with comfy beds, hot and cold drinking water, coffee, tea etc provided, as well as other thoughtful touches such as drying racks for wet bathers! Wifi and aircon were great. Breakfasts were simple but fresh and tasty. We made great use of the swimming pool, pool table and table tennis. Staff were friendly and helpful! We know parrots don’t belong in cages but these guys were well looked after and we loved chatting to them each day. We booked a couple of tours with them which weee fab, especially canyoning - the company they use weee absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend!

Nothing to not like…maybe if I had to be picky the blankets were tiny cot sized ones. But it’s hot, so if you get the aircon right you don’t need them.
