I stayed in a 4 beds female dorm and it is fairly good because it is well managed in cleanness and staffs are very kind. As my dorm is en suit a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, and a kettle, it's very convenient to prepare a light food without crowded. Of course, there is a main kitchen all guests use. There are many restaurants, cafes, and bars around the hostel. Even there are many Asian restaurants like Vietnam, Korea, and Japan. As a big market, EuroSpar, as well as a Carrefour express are located in a 5 min. walk distance, you can buy more diverse food and stuff at a cheaper price.

As there is a reception at the 3rd floor but no elevator, it is quite tough to go up the stairs with a heavy luggage. I think it will be better to provide a basic service like a free towel and preparing a bedding as a 'hostel'. It is quite surprise for me that a guest has to prepare a bedding for sleeping.

Both the location and staff are exceptional. Chillout Hostel is ideally located to several cool bars, restaurants, and coffeehouses plus Hala Koszyki, an cool food market with cheap and upscale options, is minutes away and there's a nice supermarket Eurospar in the basement. Buses and tram stops are close by as are the Central Bus and Train Stations. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional answering all of my many questions and offering good recommendations. If you plan to stay awhile and need to use the kitchen, then it's good to know that the kitchen is pretty well-equipped. If you plan to be in Warsaw in the summertime on a Sunday, don't miss the free outdoor Chopin concerts in Łazienki Park, 20 minutes walk from Chillout.

The WiFi in the common room was pretty weak at times. It'd be a good idea to install a more powerful router. The WiFi in my room worked fine. There are some rooms that overlook some noisy bars. So if you're a light sleeper (I am not), then request a room away from the bars. The downside of that alternative is that those rooms get more sunlight making them warmer in the summertime.

The hostel is located in a great area - a lot of bars and restaurants around, main attractions are within walking distance. We had a double room with private bathroom and a kitchenette. There was cleaning every day. Free WiFi is good. Downstairs is a great restaurant which I can definitely recommend (called ‘The morning after’)

There is a bar downstairs, which works up to 2 a.m. on weekdays and up to 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. And it is really REALLY noisy, I don’t actually understand how people who live in the neighborhood on the daily basis can bear this. And around 7 o’clock in the morning a construction site across the road starts to operate. So if you are looking for a quiet place, you should better consider other options.

As it turns out, in my experience, Polish people aren’t terribly outgoing or even insincerely friendly. This generalization applies to the hostel’s staff, as well. The hostel’s interior, stairwells, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. were modern and well maintained. The hostel exists on the perhaps 4th and 5th floors — there are multiple side stairwells, so it’s hard to know. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. This hostel’s primary benefit clearly wasn’t the staff, it was the paying guests who chose to interact in the reception desk’s large common area, dining table, and spacious kitchen. The guests were a motley crew of whomever happened to be available and enjoyed playing Jenga. In this respect, your experience at the hostel isn’t undergirded by the hostel’s unremarkable staff, but by the hostel’s guests who happen to be in town.

See above. I’m not a total jerk. Please compare this review to the Downtown Forest hostel’s review in Vilnius, Lithuania. Chill Out’s facilities are better than Downtown Forest’s facilities, but Poland doesn’t have Saulė and Jesùs. That makes all the difference, IMO.

The location is fantastic, albeit having to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the hostel. It's 10-15min straight walk to the Palace of Culture and Science, and the local area has lots of bars, restaurants and cafes. I assume there's lots of uni students or young professionals nearby - there was a great vibe to the area but no real disturbance at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and communal areas kept clean, tidy and friendly. The room had a balcony, an armchair and a chest of drawers.

The bed was a double bed with a single bunk above, but the one side of the double bed was broken - presumably from people standing / jumping down from the top bunk. The wall plugs in the room didn't work, so the only plugs were those on the underside of the bedside lights, which my adapter kept falling out of or dislodging in the night if not propped in place. The shower wasn't very powerful - I didn't mind but some do.

The hostel is clean, bright airy and overall a lovely place to be. Staff are lovely, kind and always eager to help. The cleaning staff, in addition, are just as lovely too! Problems are sorted with care and excellent customer service, with the visitor never feeling like they are the problem. The location is excellent! very close to major sightseeing spots such as the Palace of Culture and Science, Świętokrzyska street, Hala Koszyki as well as an excellent selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants! There's also a Post Office nearby if you need to get stamps for your postcards etc. I can't recommend this place enough!

I didn't mind it that much, but be prepared to climb a lot of stairs! Due to the age and structure of the building, this sadly means that it is inaccessible to wheelchair users.

Beautiful 100 year old building with winding stairs going in different directions. Quaint and charming hostel with a functional kitchen and refrigerator for common use plus small balconies to sit at and have a coffee with other hostelites. Lovely staff and congenial atmosphere.

Be prepared for very tiny bathrooms that are a bit challenging to manoeuvre, and rooms that are not purpose built dorms. What this means is that they are essentially rooms with a bunch of metal bunk beds with some fabric on the side as a makeshift curtain. Bathrooms and toilets are outside the rooms. It's an old building, no elevator, be prepared to carry your bags up three flights of stairs.

Overall a very nice stay, it's very clean, modern, there were plenty of kitchen facilities and bathrooms, and the location is great - walking distance from the Warszawa Centralna train station and Łazienki Królewskie. Lots of cafes and restaurants around.

The bed was pretty uncomfortable (and loud) - it was all right for a short stay in the private room, but if the dormitories might be difficult for light sleepers. The area can get a bit loud at night, but it's possible to buy earplugs at the reception. Also, wish there were extra wall hooks in the bathroom - the sink shelf is tiny and there was only one towel hook on the wall, so there was very little room to put my clothes while changing/showering

Comfortable beds. Usually when I see metal bunk beds I think "oh no", because you know they will squeek and shiver if you just breathe in their direction. But these beds were super sturdy and never made a sound! Pretty comfortable as well. The bottom bunks have a curtain for privacy and you have two power outlets and a light in the bed, along with a little shelf, which was great. Remember to bring cash for the key deposit. The lounge area was comfortable and the kitchen looked good (I didn't test it). Lovely and friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Answered my queries and showed me around upon checking. I was able to checkout very early and they honoured my request for a top bunk. The amount of bathroom and toilets are very adequate and cater well for the demand. Lockers available and fit a backpack easily. Light and charging point with every bed. The hostel is surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Very close to local transport and a short walk away from everything you need. For the value it comes highly recommended for a short break and I would stay again.

The mattresses could definitely need some change. The linen is given to you upon check in it's not the cleanest nor does it smell clean, although it was nicely folded and ironed. The place could use some more attention to detail for cleaning and renovation. The doors for the bathroom are old, and the shower head wasn't fully functioning. The charging port is not the best and cant utilise both at the same time, depending on the plug you have.
