It was very central, staff were great, cool rooftop area for lounging and with a bar. Nice restaurant downstairs with the option for take out pizza. Very very clean!

The beds were a bit too firm for us. If you don’t want to hear any noise at night go outside of old town, but it was bearable for us and not too bad overall. Rooftop bar experience was impacted by who was working that day. Christophe was a massive asset and very talented, really enjoys his work however his colleague was not present and came across as rude.

Location is great, walking distance to everything, right where all the happenings are and their restaurant was very good and all the receptionists were great, very helpful. The room was nice and big with balcony.

The tiny bathroom trash can, so tiny and no space in the bathroom sink to put anything. Also, the concert outside and the people coming in and out of their room talking like noone was sleeping while walking by the stairs and the elevator til morning..The whole town was partying til 6am cuz of New Year's so we didn't have a good sleep at all. So if you don't like noise, avoid that area.

Excellent location, close to the beach with lovely bars and restaurants, close to the square, close to the escalators. Everything within short walking / strolling distance. Bars and restaurants on your door step. Spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely, very pleasant and friendly. They were always smiling and happy. There's an off-licence and supermarket next door.

Nothing I didn't like. Here are just minor points / things to be aware of. Tea and coffee facilities in our room which was great. UHT milk provided on the first morning only. We had to buy a carton of milk from the shop next door for subsequent evenings which wasn't an issue for us but some may have a problem with such. City tax was €17 per room for our four nights. No cooler to keep drinks cool. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, music can be heard till 4am but I slept through it, it didn't keep me awake. It wouldn't put me off staying there again. I will be back.....

Third time I have stayed at the Baltum, love the location, the shower was great, the rooms are basic but the beds are comfy, with nice decoration, nice to have a balcony to sit out on to watch the world go by

The noise, the builders working on the restaurant below us, I know it has nothing to do with the hotel but they did start drilling quite early, Also as I mentioned before I have stayed here twice before, and you have to expect a bit of noise at night because of where the hotel is situated, but it was really loud this time, we bought some earplugs and it was fine Also electric plug outlets not in the best places, don't remember this being a problem on pervious stays, there was also an awful smell in the room when we arrived, wasn't u till I went to the bathroom and closed the door I noticed a plug in air freshener, I took it out and all was fine (just don't like them they make me feel quite ill)

The Baltum is very central to all aminities. It is very clean with comfortable rooms and beds. The staff team are very professional, helpful, and friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure you experience a great stay. Anna at the rooftop bar was very friendly and professional while also excellent at making the best cocktails. Sarah at reception was very helpful, friendly and professional. This is a great hotel and looking forward to visiting again and I would recommend the Baltum Hotel to anyone looking to stay in Oldtown Albufeira. Helena & John

It is on a main tourist street and the noise at night was horrible. i asked for a room on the otherside of the hotel. what i got was another room still in the middle of the noise. i mean they were playing loud music and shouting until after mid night. that would be my only, but big, complaint!

Great location, very central. Good facilities and clean.

Staff on Reception were very rude at all times. If you spoke in more than a whisper they told you to be quiet. Very strange as this hotel is in the middle of a stag/hen do area so it’s groups everywhere and everyone is excited! We turned up happy and were immediately told to shut up - very bad note to start on and we feel we weren’t even given a chance. The manager apologised which was nice, but the reception staff continued to be rude throughout. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Perfect location, despite being right at the start of the strip - the noise at nighttime isn’t too bad. The double glazing does what it’s supposed to and can hardly hear a thing!! The room it self was spotless, and room service was completed every day to perfection. Room had team making facilities, tv with a variety of channels, hairdryer, fresh towels daily if required and hand wash and shampoo complimentary! The lift was sticking slightly and was easier to take the stairs at times but wasn’t a massive issue. We didn’t use the roof top bar but when we checked it out it looked lovely! There was also a handy machine the reception to check the weight of suitcases if needed For a basic room it done what it said on the tin, the only thing used it for was a base and to sleep and couldn’t fault it.

The double rooms with no balcony are small, and if you used them for more than a base it wouldn’t be suitable. For us it was perfect

Very light and clean room, incredibly conform big bed, four pillows, sheets are fresh and nice. It was a pleasure to sleep there. Nice to have kettle in room also. Location is also good, but might be little noisy because of bar downstairs. Cool terrace!

I made reservation some time ahead and asked for some upper floor to get good view . In conclusion we got 1st floor., after asking was told that they only will have 2nd floor next day and only next day. During two days I really did not notice a lot of lights on upper floor in the evening or a lot of people in hotel overall. So guys, I would really give you 10 points and all the starts if you would be little bit more attentive, it was not some extraordinary ask, but it would make that 2 mornings special with a nice view which you have there.

Location, location, location. The property is perfectly situated within the main shopping, eating, entertaining section of the city and is within a 2 minute walk to the public beach. The roof-top bar was fantastic and the bartender, Renato, is top-notch. Renato is very knowledgeable of the area, the drinks he prepared for us were excellent, the conversation was wonderful and he was the friendliest person we met who worked at the hotel.

Some portions of the hotel felt like they could use a freshening up. The shower within the room was small and it was very, very difficult to not get large puddles of water on the bathroom floor.
