While the hotel is quite compact & facilities pretty basic it covered all requirements & had a really nice atmosphere. The staff were amazing, happy to chat & offer recommendations for the local area. The pool was pretty small but allowed you to take a dip to cool off while using the sun loungers. Food & drinks at the pool bar were enjoyable & reasonably priced. It was a short 5 min walk (Downhill) to a beautiful beach that I visited twice during my stay.

Location was a little out of the way & there was not a huge amount to do in a 5-10 min walking radius. The saving grace was Bolt taxi app. It cost €4-8 for a taxi from the hotel into the Albufeira Old Town.

Its outside the town but location is good, close to a lovely beach and lovely places to walk, much quieter than my previous trips to Albuferia but really enjoyed it. Pool is small but lovely, lots of sunbeds and sunshine all day. Restaurant is cheap and nice food, staff are very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing 4 night holiday.

Great location, only 30/40 mins from Faro airport. It’s very quiet town which has a handful of lovely restaurants/bars, Torre Velha itself has great food and at a very reasonable price from €3. An Uber to old/new town is about €7 so great if you want a lively night out like we did or a day trip. Just all round cheap and cheerful ideal for couples. Hotel itself is basic, rustic in places but it’s clean and the staff are friendly. Perfect for a chilled week away

I think the hotel is missing a trick by not serving food until 12, they should serve a small breakfast menu, would be perfect then!

Although it was too cold to use the pool, it looked inviting. The beach was within walking distance and was beautiful. There was also a pool table that was in good condition. The room was comfortable with plenty of hot water for the shower. There is a private patio with the room that you can use for relaxing on your own.

The hallway lighting is motion sensored but the timing of them left you in the dark for a few seconds. For an older person it was a little disconcerting. There was no hairdryer in the room and they were unable to provide one. They did, however, offer to move me to another room.

Quiet location which we wanted, staff very friendly and always happy to help. Pool is always kept clean as are the sunbeds. Has a decent kitchen for lunch and dinner, mainly salads, pastas, pizzas and a very decent burger but does have a special every night, all for a very reasonable price, also has a really good icecream bar.. Great bar with a wide variety of drinks, they do cocktails and sell a good local beer, you can eat and drink at the tables by the pool or in the dining room. Rooms are plain but beds are comfortable also has shower, fridge and small balcony (ask for a kettle if you want to make a morning cuppa)..There is a beach nearby but down a steep hill, so if your getting on a bit like us, go for the day, theres a nice restaurant and toilets there.For the price we paid the hotel iwas a good choice and we're one of many who keep on returning to this little gem. Here's a tip, leave them a tip before you leave, they work hard and deserve your appreciation.

Nothing that would stop me returning but just niggly things. The wardrobe (more or less a cupboard in the wall), its so small but accept there's not much can be done about it and for that price not a huge issue but dont bring a ton of clothes. Getting the patio door to lock, eventually got the knack in the end but ask for help if needs be.

The friendliest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of having in all my years of holidaying. They always did the utmost possible to make our stay an absolute pleasure. The location was close enough to Albufeira centre to get a very cheap taxi, but not too close to have the noisy drunk teenagers keeping us up at night. Bar/restaurant was very good value, and the pool area was great also. Cleaners cleaned the room everyday without fail.

The lack of air-conditioning made some nights harder to sleep, or at least having air-con in the bar area would have been nice.

The staffs were really friendly, helpful, and attentive! Truly made the stay memorable. The room was spacious enough and well equipped, and the view from our balcony was nice even though it was facing the street. The neighborhood was a bit far from downtown Albufeira, so it was rather quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. There was a beautiful beach 5 minutes away on foot (Praia do Castelo) that I think was more beautiful than the one in downtown Albufeira, and certainly was so much less crowded. The hotel also has a small restaurant that has good lunch deals.

As it is far, you need to be ready to order taxis, or drive yourself, unless you have no intention of going downtown. It also means that you should plan the stay well if you need supplies from the supermarket. Also I guess depending on the season, but the bathroom's air circulation was rather poor that it took a while for a wet microfiber blanket and two swimsuits to get dry. You can hang it in the balcony of course, but then you need to watch out for the rain.

Staff and service very good. Restaurant food also very good. No bath plugs or bath filling facilities.

Room 127 had faulty sliding door locking mechanism. All rooms had a two thirds size bath......but NO plugs were supplied. And reception do not supply any bath plugs. Nor are the mixer taps provided with a bath fill spout. Clearly they don't want you to use too much water. Solution.......TAKE YOUR OWN PLUG AND USE THE SHOWER TO FILL THE BATH QUITE QUICKLY.

The large bathroom with a good size bidet. The comfortable well aired bedroom There is a outside swimming pool with sunbeds. The restaurant is very popular with local people in the evening after 20.00 pm. The carpark of Castel beach is about a mile away and is a good place to watch spectacular sunsets. The Old Tower (built about 1546-66) is situated in their grounds .

The reception did not open until at least 9.00am and it was not possible to buy a coffee until 11.00am definitely no breakfast. They recommended a cafe in hotel notes but obviously disappeared. The receptionist recommended Scooby's a short distance away. Looks good with lots of food to suit English tastes but had just started opening later 10.00am not 9.00am. Scooby's also have an outdoor swimming pool and covered restaurant area if weather in clement.

The staff was amazing! The room was comfortable without luxury but with everything we need. Big balcony also. It was good to have a rope to place the beach towels. But we managed it anyway :) The drinks on the bar was also good and not expensive at all. We didn’t had opportunity to try the restaurant. Close to a nice beach, like 5 min walking distance.

I liked everything. I would replace the fridge for ones that do less noise and also put air conditioning because it was really hot during the night.
