A wonderful hotel. Great location—close to everything, yet quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They are ready to assist even after the reception closes (they provide a 24-hour emergency contact number). The check-in process was quick and pleasant. There's an elevator even though there are only a few floors. The room was new and clean, with everything needed: a large mirror, desk, comfortable bed, a small balcony, and a TV with nearly 300 channels. They seem to have thought of everything—even the TV remote has a volume limit to avoid disturbing other guests. Three towels were provided. Daily room cleaning surprised me positively, especially at such an affordable price. The hotel was quiet and offered great privacy. For me, it was a perfect stay. I highly recommend this place, as it offers the same quality you'd find in some expensive multi-star hotels.

Everything was perfect

Suites Cidade Aveiro was a quiet place right on a beautiful city park and across from one of the most unexpected impressive museums we came across during our travels in Portugal. It's a pleasant block or two walk to the central town pedestrian walkways. As we were only in Aveiro for a couple days, we choose breakfasts with Suites, and they provided many healthy food options. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Perhaps most importantly the staff were remarkably helpful and went out of their way to assist us in our local travel plans. PS. Don't miss a trip to Costa Nova! I should note that at many lodgings in Portugal you simply enter codes provided to you via Booking into a doorway code mechanism (not an attending person to be found ), but here you had all the pleasures of interacting with a kind, thoughtful welcoming staff person.

Great location - we actually walked to the hostel from the train station on the way there (and took a Bolt on the way back because of torrential rain). It was also in a great spot for walking to the main sites in Aveiro. We arrived at 2pm and asked to store our bags until check-in at 4pm, but our room was actually already to go so we were able to check-in early!

(+) It was very close to the city center. (+) there was a proper reception desk and receptionists were very helpful. (+) it was clean

(-) It was around 20 minutes (by foot) away from the train station. There is no public transport from the station to somewhere near to the hotel. But it takes around 3 to 5 minutes by taxi (around 5 Euro). I recommend to guests taking a taxi if they have a heavy luggage or trolley.

The staff are very friendly and competent. As I have lactose and gluten intolerance, I ask in my reservation on Booking.com, that if possible, they would provide lactose-free milk and gluten-free bread. And on my breakfast, in addition to these products, they also offerted lactose-free yogurt. An additional service, which in many hotels around the world, was not available to me. Thank you for the delicacy, and service provided. A hotel that despite being very central (a 5-minute walk from the Aveiro Docks, from where the traditional gondola tours depart, the fish market, with bars and restaurants around), is located in a very quiet street.

The hotel is in a great location just around the corner from the main Aveiro museum. The staff member on reception was very friendly and helpful. I arrived to leave my luggage but was able to check in early as my room was ready. The room was clean and comfortable and it was good to have a lift.

It would be good to have somewhere in the hotel to make a hot drink.

Correct and refurbished accommodation, private room with WC, some greenery to appease the mind around the building and even a park to get some sun. Not too far from downtown. Clean, not overpriced, pristine and immaculate. I would stay here again. There are several restaurants and markets nearby. Close the the RIA if you are a shopaholic, then there is the Aveiro shopping mall... These suites are a Good and highly recommended place to stay. Pay them a visit.

The elevator was not working. As I can't do stairs. Before booking maybe make sure they have fixed the elevator issue.

I think this hotel has almost everything you need for a long stay in Aveiro. It is conviniently located, the room is clean, the bed is confy and the staff is friendly and helpful. Price wise is good and there are plenty of places to buy stuff nearby.

I think that for being perfect you need to put a small fridge inside the room; specially if you do not offer breakfast. That would be my only complain.

I stayed in a private room here not the group hostel room. I chose this lodging for its location and price relative to the location and price of other lodging available that weekend. This hostel was one half to one third of the price of hotels in the area. While a small lodging offers less than a major hotel, my room was spotlessly clean, included toiletries and a tv, and was safe and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again over paying 2-3x the price for the other lodging down the road.

I liked everything.

This place was perfect. It was my first time staying in a hostel (still got a private room though) and it exceeded my expectations. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Nothing felt missing and the price point is great! I spent one night here but I would have stayed longer. Two other highlights- the location and the staff! Aveiro is small so everything is walkable but this is right around the corner from the main shopping area. The staff are phenomenal! One gentleman (sorry I don't know his name) was so helpful and even let me get a goody bag for breakfast since I was heading out early the next morning.

No complaints. Everything was great. Wish I would have stayed in Aveiro another night.
