The Room: Cozy, small, but all what you need is available. Bathroom is clean and having the basic travelers needs. The room does not have Fridge, kettle and cutleries, however there is a clean and cozy Kitchen at the Ground Floor with all you need including cooking tools. The Hotel: Very nice welcoming and friendly staff, the reception staff are very cooperative and giving the support and information needed. Overall: the Hotel very Clean and tidy which is the most important (Thanks or the Cleaners), also very quiet. the best time start the day with morning Yoga at the Balcony and end of the long walking day relaxing and listening to the silence. Location: The Hotel in the main road, very near to all what you need, restaurants, Bars, Caffe, Mall, Bus station, the downtown historical places.

I have no negative comments at all, during my stay there was a nearby construction work, not noisy at all, I believe the internet cable got damaged, however the hotel management toke immediate action to fix and solve unexpected incident.

It's a short walk from the train station and also a short walk to the centre of the city. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning a boon for the warm weather. There is a small supermarket opposite with a good selection of things. There are many good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Excellent value for money

Breakfast could have more choice. Not a fault but if you have a mental image of the courtyard when looking for the hotel, don't, that's inside. Instead look for a building with flags on it and a traditional wooden door and glass door. I walked past the entrance the first time.

The location of Welcome In is ideal, situated in the heart of Aveiro's vibrant city center. Just a short walk away from the guesthouse, you'll find the city's famous canals, historic landmarks, and charming cafés. Being able to easily navigate Aveiro's attractions on foot adds to the overall convenience and enjoyment of your stay. Additionally, the staff at Welcome In deserve special mention for their exceptional hospitality. From the warm and friendly welcome upon arrival to their attentive assistance throughout my stay, the staff's dedication to ensuring a memorable experience was truly outstanding. Their knowledge of the local area, willingness to offer recommendations, and their genuine care for guests' needs made me feel valued and well taken care of throughout my time at Welcome In. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. Every detail was carefully thought out, from the comfortable bed to the modern amenities provided.

Nothing.

It is a small inn, but comfortable place to stay. I stayed for almost a week, and I enjoyed the stay. Walking distance to downtown. The staff was very helpful and nice

Many of the facilites such as kettle are common and not available after 9:00pm. If you have a cold or want to work late in night with some coffee or tea, it’s not possible.

Everything. Staff were friendly, attemtative and helpful. Welcome In has great clean rooms , a lovely patio area where you can sit and take along your own food and drink and an optional breakfast. Location is also excellent being a few minutes walk to canals and local attractions plus plenty of shopping. Welcome In provides an exceptional value stay.

There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.

Very nice hotel! Great location as it is a 15-minute walk to the bus station but centrally located! Friendly and professional staff. I wasn't too happy with the bed but not because it was uncomfortable but because I always have back problems if it's not my own. One piece of advice I would give is to also provide low pillows. Otherwise, everything was great!

Too high pillows

Reception staff was awesome. They were really kind, explaining everything with great details. They really cared to offer the best experience. Location was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it.

Not an issue at all but reception is closed at night. Nevertheless, I was given very detailed instructions as to how to enter the building and had no problems. Nothing to be worried about

Everything! Check in with Lisa at the front desk was easy, she was friendly, informative, pleasant, and professional. The room was of a good size, and very clean. The location is an easy 10 min walk from the train station, and an easy 3 minutes walk to the centre for food, big shopping centre, and touristy stuff. Very safe and secure, and I loved having a courtyard to sit in too! Better than the photos.... Danelle, the night clerk was very kind and considerate as well, very kindly sharing her knowledge of Aveiro. They were both great ambassadors for this lovely little city! Oh and the price was right too.

Breakfast buffet and coffee weren't available when I stayed, but you wanna go have an Ove Mole pastry (maybe two!) instead anyway. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but not bad.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very clean and a good size and there were plenty of towels. The hotel was very clean and had a nice use of furniture. Staff were very helpful and helped with directions and helped with tourist attractions and giving suggestions. They even helped with booking a hairdresser for me.

You had to book breakfast in advance, the day beforehand.

I was satisfied with my three-night stay at Welcome In. My room on the first floor overlooked a quiet patio. The bed was most comfortable and there was plenty of space for hanging and storage. The furnishings consisted of two bedside cabinets and a small table (ideal for a laptop) and chair. The lighting was excellent and wi-fi connectivity was generally fine. I particularly liked the spacious shower, with excellent water pressure. Breakfast was available (for 7 Euros) but I did not opt for it. The stylish public areas and bedrooms are decorated with attractive large black and white photos of Aveiro as it used to be. The location of the hotel is great. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the railway and ‘bus stations in one direction and to the historic centre in the other. I found the staff on the reception desk pleasant and cheerful. There is a small supermarket opposite it and a number of good cafes and restaurants nearby (I can recommend Zig Zag Café, Vera Cruz Café and Madrigal Restaurant). I would certainly consider staying at Welcome In again were I to return to Aveiro, nicknamed ‘the Venice of Portugal’ on account of its canals and colourful gondola-style boats.

A small fridge in the room would have been great. Also, in a hotel of this standard, I would expect proper glasses to be provided in the bathroom rather than cheap paper cups.
