Location was great near the city center. Staff were kind, welcoming and helpful - also spoke multiple languages (English) Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The restaurant / bar was fantastic aswell, the food was the best I had in Covilha while I was on my trip over.

Honestly, it was fantastic to stay there. Perhaps just letting people know that checkout is automatic, but honestly it was pretty much perfect

The hotel is a beautifully restored old building in the heart of Covilha's historic centre. Our room was quite small but the bed was huge and very comfortable. We had dinner in the bistro, and the food was great (though we had to ask the waiter to warm the plates). Breakfast was superb.

The building is accessed via steep narrow lanes - not for the faint-hearted driver! Our room was on the second floor but there is no lift.

Amazing place. The staff is so friendly and helpful with everything. They were really sweet with our little girl as well. Good and fresh breakfast. It's a beautiful building with spacious rooms and it's very clean. Location is perfect in the middle of the old town. The restaurant downstairs is really good for diner. High quality for a good price. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful restoration of an original large city residence. Breakfast was fantastic, real quality ingredients. Restaurant looked lovely too, although it was booked out for us. Swimming pool area very nice and modern. The building looked quite plain on the outside but had lovely interesting decor when inside. Parking for our 10 motorcycles right outside the door. A gem of a place.

It was a bit hard to find even with a satnav - cobblestones and hilly, sharp turns necessary, would be difficult in the wet. There was no lift.

Bed was amazing and free netflix was a huge bonus

Unfortunately, a storm had knocked the boiler off, so there was no hot water for the shower. Given that we had arrived on a motorbike and were wet and cold, this was a huge disappointment but couldn't be helped, I suppose. The bed and access to netflix more than made up for it. Getting out of town via the 1-way system down some very steep wet cobbled streets was a nightmare!!

Clean room, nice bathroom with counter space and spacious shower, Netflix on TV, nice pool and outdoor lounging area, and great restaurant downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

No parking granted and extremely hard to find a spot on nearby streets. Also, the hand soap had not been refilled when we arrived.

Nice big rooms in a beautiful setting of the old walls of the city. The entire complex has been modernised, so all luxury is there. Comfortable shower, good and quiet working AC, comfy bed. A big + is the Netflix that is available in every room. Much better than watching local news :-). Pool is nice, although it’s very hot during summer since there is no natural shade. A big thanks to the staff and Nana in particular for setting up a wonderful wine tasting at Bago a Bago in Guarda. If you like wine this is a definite recommendation! Daniel has a lovely place and can offer some local meats and cheeses to go along with the tasting. Next to that the restaurant Taberna a Laranjinha is a definite must visit as well: local specialities with a twist and served with amazing quality. Although the restaurant at the Casa is good as well, this restaurant blew our minds! Parking in the street of the accommodation is free and we never had trouble finding a spot.

If we’re being picky it’s the heat at the pool. Some natural shadow (trees) would be nice during summer. Also for the look of the pool area, but this was really a minor disadvantage.

Spacious room and good bathroom. Air-conditioned. Comfortable bed. Directions to property ok but none given to leave. Breakfast in bistro on site. Dinner also available in Bistro.

Street parking was a matter of luck. Coded access to property sent on day of check in assumes access to smart phone. No lift or reception. All information provided on line assumes familiarity with technology.

Wonderful small hotel in a renovated old house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and it was the best dinner we had at a restaurant in three week's Portugal (other hotels also had great restaurants but this one was also very affordable for the quality we got). The breakfast was rather intimate and this small hotel cannot offer big buffets like a bigger hotel but it was still among the best breakfasts we had in three weeks in Portugal because it had enough variety and top quality. The terarace and pool have great views. We had a big room which was perfect for us as a family of four.

The location of the hotel in the old part of town on the hill forces you to drive some special streets but it is worth it, just stay cool and follow the instructions.

I like everything! I had been there before just for dinner (which is always good, never disappoints), and now for a night stay it was equally great. It's a small cozy hotel with friendly staff that makes it feel like family, located in the top of the old city where there are great views of the mountain range. It's peaceful and inspires to relax.
