The location was excellent, being just a short walk to the pedestrian area of the city, the harbour, bus depot and train station. My sister and I were here for 2 weeks and having visited other towns in the region felt that Faro was the correct choice with options, amenities and ease of access, initially as well as for day trips and activities. Claudia and her staff were so friendly and helpful with advise, suggestions and in accommodating our preferences. Our 2 bedroom unit was exceptional with everything we needed to feel right at home, enjoying a number of meals “at home” …although it was hard to resist the many tempting options available and so close at hand.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cardeal Apartments, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The apartments are modern, spacious, and immaculately clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport. A special shout-out to Claudia, whose outstanding service truly made a difference during my stay. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her friendliness and professionalism were evident in every interaction, and she made me feel like a valued guest. If you're looking for a top-notch place to stay, I highly recommend Cardeal Apartments. You won't be disappointed!

It is located very conveniently a few minutes walk from the centre of Faro, where all the restaurants and sites are. There's plenty of space in the apartment, and our stay felt very comfortable. The kitchen area is well equipped. Claudia, who manages the apartments, is very helpful and responsive to any requests, and was able to give us lots of ideas of places to visit and things to do.

I was staying in Faro under unfortunate circumstances as my dad was admitted to Faro hospital. From the outset, Claudia was a warm and welcoming host, and her kindness during our stay helped make a stressful situation more bearable. All staff we met were friendly and professional. The apartments are maintained to a very high standard and the communal areas provide a calming space to relax. If you are looking for a clean, calm, and warm space to stay during your trip, then this is the place to stay. It is a short walk into the town with a lovely little cookie shop at the end of the road. I can't recommend this place enough if you are looking to stay in Faro, and I look forward to staying there again under better circumstances!

The place was very clean, spacious - we got upgraded to an apartment, which had all the necessary home appliances. The interior is renovated and very thing looked new and fresh. Quiet street, unless weekend but that’s everywhere in Lagos. The service was great too, with home made cookies and oranges provided to us.

The neighborhood contains of older houses and might not look that appealing at first, but this is how it is on many streets there. The distance to the main places was great though.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming small family hotel in Faro, and we couldn't have been more delighted with our experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that truly made us feel at home. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Every corner sparkled, and the attention to detail was evident in every aspect. The well-equipped amenities, including a fully functional kitchen, TV, and not one but two air conditioners, made our stay extremely comfortable. Whether we wanted to whip up a quick meal or just relax in the cozy living area, this hotel provided everything we needed. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the wonderful family that runs it. Cláudia, the owner, and her son João, were the epitome of friendliness and genuine care. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was exceptional, offering local insights and recommendations that truly enhanced our trip. Speaking of Faro, what an amazing city! The hotel's central location made it a breeze to explore all that this vibrant city has to offer. Faro's historical charm, picturesque streets, and stunning architecture left us in awe. The blend of tradition and modernity is beautifully showcased in every nook and cranny. When it came to dining, Cláudia and João didn't disappoint with their recommendations. They pointed us towards some of the most delectable local restaurants, where we savored the freshest seafood and traditional Portuguese dishes. Each meal was a delightful journey into the rich culinary tapestry of the region. And let's not forget about the countless attractions Faro boasts! The stunning Ria Formosa Natural Park, with its diverse ecosystems and serene landscapes, was a nature lover's paradise.

What didn't I like? Trying to leave the hotel was like saying goodbye to a plate of fresh pastéis de nata – it was just too hard to do! :)

The location was perfect, right at the centre of the old city, with excellent and own parking in the basement of the property. Stylish place with a shared central patio with a contemporary style fountain and well-decorated rooms, an abundance of pillows, hipper clean textiles (sheets), perfectly clean everything, comfy mattresses, naturally lit during the day, balcony with seats, attention to details, excellent and friendly hostess (actually the owner of the place who has its own office in the place and you see regularly there)

The light instalment was, in general, excellent, but it could be better in two principal points: the night lamp on one side of the bed was non-functioning; the lady owner, one of the friendliest and most attentive that I've ever met (you find her every day there, where she has her office), promptly replaced it with a standing lamp, which saved the situation for the stay. Also, the kitchen region lacked light under the hanging furniture, so you cooked depending on the room's general light, which was definitely not enough; this region lacked light during the dark hours. Another super important point: There was nothing similar to hooks to hang your coats, bags, etc., at the entrance, so it was challenging to find a place to leave them.

We had a really nice time here, and wish we had had more time. The apartment is bright, spacious and spotlessly clean, with great facilities, including a good range of kitchen equipment and a large, decent shower. It is slightly it of the centre, in a quiet area, but everything of interest (including the station) can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or less. They got in touch in plenty of time to check the bed configuration we wanted and to make sure we had all the details and codes for arrival, and checked that everything everything was OK during our stay. We found it a wonderful place to stay with very friendly, helpful staff, and would highly recommend it.

The owner has an impeccable attention to detail. All needs were anticipated when designing and building the apartments. This property is far superior than other properties in Portugal at this price point. The owner, Claudia, who was lovely, clearly has refined taste and is used to experiencing high standards herself. You will not be disappointed especially given how competitively she has priced this. No wonder her rating is so high. Great work Claudia. Lovely to be met on arrival with a thorough introduction to her beautiful town and coast that she is proud of. Great experience all ‘round!

Claudia the host was excellent. Here attention to detail is exceptional. The apartments were super well appointed and clearly a lot of thought and detail had been considered with everything you could possible need. The balcony was useful with a parasol. Claudia provided us with lots of useful tips on where to eat etc. and they were all very good. The apartments themselves are in an area that appears a little run down, don’t worry when you enter the Cardeal gate and courtyard it’s fabulous.
