Front desk staff (Marcelo and Lilyan) were friendly,warm and extremely helpful. It is ideally located with short walk to the harbour where the old town is beautiful. Recommend going on the red tour "bus". We loved eating in Amore Mio restaurant with the food excellent and ambiance superb. Room was clean and well fitted. Shower excellent. Would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Shopping mall just a 15 mins walk and is very pretty.

Roots Hotel it’s a really nice hotel, unfortunately we stayed there only for one night. We rented a small studio with small kitchen, table and double bed. It was nice clean with the view to the recreational area, bed was comfortable. The hotel has a recreational area with a small outdoor pool, outside tables and egg chair. There is a some common are where you can serve yourself a free coffee which was really nice. All hotel looks nice a renovated, really pleasant place to stay in Faro. Location is good close to the Marina and the Old Town and only 10 minutes from Faro Airport.

My son and I stayed here in early September and we loved everything about this hotel. The room was perfect for two people and very comfortable. The building may not look too appealing from outside but the inside seems new and very sleek. Our room was on the fourth floor and quiet. It had mini kitchen with sink, microwave and two burner stove, dishwasher and all of the amenities you would need. We had two single beds and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. Everything was quality. They offered a breakfast but we did not have it. There is limited parking in a garage below the property. There was a lovely back garden area with mini pool. The staff were so kind, helpful and nice. The hotel is in a safe area and very close and walkable to the centre, train station, bus station and the large shopping area is a short walking distance too.

The little pool in the back was chilly. Other than that there wasn't anything we didn't like.

I stayed in a studio with balcony with my sister the room was very well presented and clean, bedding changed each day. It had everything we needed.Could not fault this hotel albeit some buildings around it are getting renovated. You can reach the train station by cutting though the little garden opposite the hotel then turn left and its facing you. You can get trains to tavira, Olhão and fuseta etc. Tavira is definitely worth a visit as you can also catch a ferry to the beach if you want the best of both worlds. Fuseta is a great little fishing village with a beach. Staff in the hotel are very friendly and approachable and helped us with our queries. Faro is a great place to visit everyones friendly cafes and restaurants are 5 mins walk away and there's a good selection. If you walk further on passed the faro sign/marina you will come to the old town. There are great restaurants there especially the old tavern. We thought everything about our holiday was fabulous.

The hotel was good, but the room had no soundproofing and I could hear the person next door snoring all night. I could also hear housekeeping staff on the corridors from 7am.

My son and I stayed here for a week and had a great time. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed inc. great hairdryer, iron. My son stayed on the sofa bed which was already made up for him on arrival. The apartment was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The location was superb. Near the train station with taxi rank, bus and the old town and marina which is where all the restaurants and shops, boat trips etc are. The Staff on reception were all really lovely and friendly. Can't fault. Hope to stay here again one day and will be recommending.

Nothing we didn't like.

Very welcoming receptionist, very close to train station, short walk to nice areas in town and plenty of restaurants, very good value, nice young vibe with outside area (which we didn't use as we arrived late and it was a cold evening, and were leaving early) but looked like you could have good fun there. Perfectly clean, practical functional design, comfortable. The kind lad in reception went up to open window (door) to air our room when we rang from our night out.

All great but for me, BUT, (and I admit I am sensitive to chemical smells), the smell of cleaning products was overpowering - I have asthma and smells like this are not my friend. As above the receptionist opened the door(window) for us for the evening (we were on the 3rd floor) so wasn't as bad when we got back but still it's the main thing I remember about the place. All said, it's very good value and handy for train station and the (cleaning products) smell probably wouldn't bother most people.

Excellent property, ideally located to explore Faro. 2 mins walk from the train/bus station and reachable by taxi/Uber from the airport in about 10 mins. Also just 10 mins walk to Faro's Old Town. Fantastic restaurant (Adega Nova), with a very expensive menu at very affordable prices. The apartment itself was amazing. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, and kettle. Good air conditioning, and the bed was really super comfy. Free coffee and hot chocolate are available in a rather picturesque area downstairs. Property offers breakfast but we did not avail of it, so can't comment on it. Overall, a gem of a place, would recommend to anyone.

There's a little pool/jacuzzi downstairs, but the water was freezing (travel in late October), and could not really see any controls that would suggest it was actually a jacuzzi.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Well equipped apartment. Good location. Close to old town. Only 10 minutes walk. Also close to train and coach stations. Small, but nice swimming pool/jacuzzi. Free coffee!

We were on 3rd floor, but ants were regular visitors, and sometimes in large numbers. Don't leave any food on the table, or you may find ants having a massive feast and probably invited family and friends from all over Algarve...
