Very cozy little cottage, we loved the covered terrace under the vines, the amazing garden and swimmingpool, and the quiet location on the outskirts of the Village. Would definitely stay here again :)

The ants in the kitchen and the bedroom, coming up from cracks in the floor, and in the wall near the coffee machine. But we knew this could happen based on other reviews, and it's expected when living in a garden.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was wonderfully peaceful, yet perfectly central for exploring the area and taking different trips. The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped, making it easy to feel at home

Lovely quiet location, gardens beautifully looked after, super comfortable bed, clean spacious apartment, ample kitchen, 20 minute walk into luz, or 5minutes to bus stop.

Would love to come back, but prices seem to have gone up x3. Kitchen very tired but did the job, ideally could do with a washing machine, especially as prices have gone up so much for 2025, better equipped apartments around for less money

This place was wonderful. The accommodation itself was totally adequate - living area, large bedroom, well stocked kitchen. The outside terrace was lovely and got the afternoon sun. We did use the pool which was nice. We were so pleasantly surprised by this place. We would describe it as charming and we loved it. We are already saying we would come back.

Can not come up with one negative

This was our second stay at Casa Da Montanha, this time in the smaller studio apartment. As expected it was wonderful. Charming property in an excellent location a short walk away from Luz. Perfect for a relaxing getaway and visit to family living nearby.

There is nothing to dislike about this place. It is lovely

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and mindful equipped with everything needed. The kitchen provides a great opportunity to prepare food: it's spacious and well-equipped. The garden is well-maintained, with lots of trees, plants and a lawn. With the pool it's is a great space to hang out. The arrangement of the different apartments allows for a high level of privacy. There is a self check-in and check-out, but a very friendly online contact with the owner.

The bed mattresses were a bit too soft for my taste, but still ok. The outdoor furniture might deserve some maintenance. Also here: not a big issue.

Very cozy place in amazing location. It has everything and more then you nees for your stay: every type of glasses, dishes and household necessities, air condiniotier, amazing room lighting, bluetooth audio set, and overall it seems like every little detail was thought of. Very clean. Totally recommend, would love to return here someday<3

Carport for parking the car underneath. Everything is forseen in the studio. Enough drawers and storage capabilities for a small studio. Large swimming pool.

The humidity in the room and lack of bathroom ventilation. Double bed but separate 1 person blankets is a bit weird. Thin pillows.

Loved the care taken to make a modern, comfortable and functional studio and the beautiful pool & surroundings. Nice and private.

There was noise from party houses in the neighborhood on the weekend nights, although of course that is a difficult thing to predict or for the host to control. Otherwise the neighborhood was quiet and a wonderful respite from the busy beaches and downtown.

Casa da Montanha is located some distance from the village center, in a very quiet street, away from the "rush". We walked to Praia Da Luz, it took us approximately 20 min with views over nice villas and gardens. I usually sleep with eardrops: I did not use those at all here. No noise at night except just a little bit from the sprinklers in the garden and this can actually help :) Very green and lush environment (agaves, huge impressive cactuses, pepper trees, scheffleras bougainvilliers, yuccas, etc.), beautiful swimming pool, clean water,

I am not a smartphone geek at all (almost never connected). But the owner does not live on location and he assumes visitors would get his messages on their smartphone/IPad... whatever device. I misunderstood this and did not receive the arrival instructions. I just gave him a call and the case was solved within seconds anyway.
