This hotel is a very clean hotel a bit dated needs a bit of refurbishment bathrooms and not enough electric sockets staff very helpful and go above and beyond to help The pool area is spotless

The only thing is the breakfast cold meats cheese and a good selection of breads if only there was a better choice of fresh fruit salad the bowl only had apples with a small amount of oranges The hot food was just exceptional

We liked our room, which was clean. However, we were slightly disappointed that there was only 1 comfortable armchair in the room.

We did appreciate that the catering was contracted out, but we have never stayed in a 4 star hotel when the tables for breakfast are not laid, meaning we had to collect the necessary crockery and cutlery.

The property design was good with the rooms situated around the pool and overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean even if a little updating of furniture would be good. The staff and fellow guests were friendly and many had been coming back year after year.

Pool bar and restaurant were good spaces with clean toilets and showers although these areas could probably be put to more use.

Everything was great. Very good breakfast. Room very clean. Great balcony which was in the sun all day. Nice staff. We didn't have dinner as we were enticed by the Indian restaurant 100 m away, which was excellent.

No complaints as such. Maybe bar/restaurant area could benefit from a refurb, which I believe is happening when the hotel closes for a few months.

The pool was lovely . I really liked my garden room and it was cleaned daily, The restaurant and staff where lovely although a few smaller snack type meals on the menu would be great. Breakfast Buffet was filling

I feel that the room was lacking tea and coffee facility's it was not restocked each day and I had to go and by milk. And coffee A couple of wine and beer glasses in the room would have been nice also. The gym needs an up grade and the pool needs to be more regally vacuumed

Just up the hill from beach front with balcony views of pool and Atlantic Ocean. Luz is a beautiful town. Prettiest town at the beach front we visited in Portugal and Spain.

It was very hard to find, especially in the dark. Directions and gps brought us to the beachfront. Called the hotel and received directions but still had a hard time finding the property.

Spotlessly clean, lovely staff throughout, loveky clean fresh pool area, the a la carte dinner was very good and great value, the hotel was set in lovely mature gardens, nice traditional design and we used the spa area which was good too. Not a bad word to say and would definitely reccomend to friends. We thought it would be ok but value for money wise it beat our expectations 😊👍🏼

Taxis weren't easy to get hold of but not the hotels fault just frustrating as we needed a few taxis as one of our party had mobility problems

Pros: Absolutely loved our stay here. We travelled in late March so the hotel as well as the location was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel takes about an hour to reach from Faro airport and cost between 75-90euros. Our room was immaculately clean and the beds were slightly firmer than I’m used to but were very cosy. We slept very well. Breakfast was a small buffet with the usual - English breakfast and continental. Their large bread rolls were fresh and delicious. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The downstairs gaming room was a nice bonus as we played a few games of pool costing 1 euro for each game. The surrounding area is very pretty with little coffee shops, small restaurants and a local Spar. The beach is so pretty and if you go, you must try Luz Beach Cafe and Bar on the seafront - their prawn dish is soooo tasty!! We also took a number 4 bus to Lagos a few times which took about 20mins and cost 1.60 euros - very cheap!

The hotel is situated high so there is quite a steep hill to climb down to the beach and walk back up (about 6mins walk). This wasn’t a problem for us and we enjoyed the walk. We didn’t use the outdoor swimming pools and they were both too cold.

The location. The staff. The cleanliness. All excellent. Huge room lovely decor and great view.

The breakfasts were very poor. The hot food was not hot at all. The scrambled eggs were a congealed mess. Limited fresh fruit. But the dining room staff were very nice and helpful.

Great hotel, breakfast choices are great, you can also ask for fried/soft boiled eggs. Pool bar food also brilliant... HIGHLY recommend the sangria it's beautiful. Extremely comfy beds, best sleep I've had in a long time.... No complaints from me.
