I’d suggest the peacocks should be moved away from the hotel at night as they interrupt guests sleep. despite having completed the on line check in, the check in process was far too long taking 30mins after a long hit motorcycle ride ! the reception staff were quite ‘snooty and superior’ and need to be a little more ‘human and considerate’

The staff could not do enough for you, they were friendly and inviting & made the stay extra special. We stayed in the barrels and they exceeded our expectations, along with the picnic and wine tour/ tasting. I would highly recommended this phenomenal hotel and everything it has to offer.

There really is nothing you could fault about this hotel, however something to note is that the spa & its facilities come at an additional charge, even for hotel guests.

We were staying in 2 of the unique barrels in the grounds of the hotel, as a surprise treat for my Mother’s 80th Birthday! Property east to find, all the staff extremely attentive, polite & nothing was too much trouble! Two fabulous restaurants, á La Carte for dinner and the breakfast was out of this world! Gorgeous grounds, pool area and ambience on the whole site! There was even a wedding going to take place on the day we left!!

Staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Location is great, very peaceful. Rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Bed was big and comfortable. Rooms were equipped with working air conditioner. Breakfast buffet was good and restaurant food was tasty and well cooked.

The fact that you need to pay a small fee to access the indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath. It should be open to guests upon booking for no additional cost.

Our family lived on the new wings with interconnecting rooms, overlooking the vineyard. Since we went at winter the low season, travellers aren’t many, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great! Range of food selection is appropriate given the hotel size (about 40 rooms) and the quality is 5 star grade. The only place I can find a true type of croissant I used to eat but not those sticky one in the pastry shops. We had lunch at their pub serving light meals. Price is affordable at about 18 Euro per dish for pasta and meat sandwich respectively. Given the tranquility, the scenic maple tree under the winter sun, and the quality of food, I personally feel worth it. Dinner we ordered room service at about 30 Euro per dish as we wanted to rest at the cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are 5 star grade in terms of comfort level, though size isn’t big. Laying in the bed looking out to the green vineyard and hills, plus their complementary sweet Pacheca port wine is another unique and memorable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Even there aren’t many guests, the hotel still put effort to decorate it for Christmas everywhere indoor and outdoor tastefully. Really appreciate!

None. Really feel a hotel running with a heart.

Exceptional service from arrival to departure. We had 3 fantastic days at the hotel, all the staff are really professional and the facilities are amazing - huge grounds to explore plus a great pool, spa and good gym with machines and some free weights. Food is generous in portions and wines range from straightforward to seriously classy (but still good value). It was everything we’d expect from a luxury hotel and more. Definitely coming back some day soon.

The grounds are really beautiful. Lots of vineyards to walk through. We did the "harvest experience" and got to harvest grapes, sample wines and port, stomp grapes etc. That was well worth the money and we are so glad we did it. The room was very nice, clean and modern. Breakfast was an extensive buffet with fruit, cheeses, bread and pastries, oj etc. Really nice and great staff at breakfast and reception.

Unfortunately, our room was in the "classic" area. It had smallish windows which were too high for a view and they were really dirty. Just outside our window, they were operating a small forklift which made a continuous beeping noise that was super annoying. Also there was no kettle in the room for making coffee or tea, but they did bring us a small pot of hot water when we asked.

The experience was excellent. The winery is gorgeous and the tasting enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful. Staff is attentive and the restaurant very good and affords the perfect view.

We stayed in the older wing of the hotel (room 11), and I definitely felt the room needed an update. The carpet had stains, the walls needed to be repainted, the windows were dirty, and the drapery was also old-fashioned. For the price we paid for the one night stay, and based upon the high level of presentation by the rest of the hotel, the room we stayed in just did not align and was a disappointment. We also had some construction beginning about 10:30 am that was a constant pounding making it a relief when we checked-out.

The property was beautiful, good location and great facilities.

We stayed in the Wine barrel room for 2 nights, not knowing that it was pretty cramped. One night would have been just nice for the experience. As we were travelling through to other destinations, we had lots of luggage with us and these filled up the room! So for those travellers who appreciate space, forget the wine barrel! The hotel has regular rooms in the main building, we took a look and they are pretty nice.

Location is great and staff were very courteous and helpful. The wine barrel rooms were nice and different. They even brought us breakfast to our barrel which was special.

The main restaurant was a big disappointment. The restaurant room felt like a ballroom in a hotel and lacked character and charm. The food was good but not special. The wine was very expensive, yet they did not even have some wines that were on the menu (in a winery mind you)
