Very good location, within walking distance of the city centre, shops, restaurants and the river front. Staff was friendly, spoke English and answered all my questions and requests. Room was clean and warm, and the towels were changed daily. The room was bigger than expected. I booked a double room and it had a double bed and a single bed which was a nice surprise.

The lighting in the room and bathroom was not great but I was still able to see everything clearly (I believe that changing the light bulbs with white light will solve the problem). Also, the water in the shower was only half coming out but it was hot enough and I was still able to wash properly.

It was very central. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath in it and I prefer a bath to a shower. It was perfect for my needs, as when I visit a city I want to see the sights and experience the attractions that it offers; consequently, all I need from an hotel are a central location, a comfortable bed and a bath.

Nothing, because the hotel was reasonably priced and it exceeded my expectations.

Location is very very good, easy to walk everywhere: to the train station, metro, old town, to the bridge etc. Breakfast is sufficient: white bread, ham/chees/butter/jam etc., juice, coffee, cereals + milk etc. You can eat 1 bun or 2 buns, how the appetize is. Only thing is that would be perfect, if they would have some fresh stuff also: banana/apple smt like that or even better, some tomato/cucumber slices for the bread. Staff is also so friendly, very nice people and helpful :)

As it is quite in the center, then if You sleep open window, its noisy. Pick Your earplugs with You! We stayed room 403 and window was to the inside yard (other houses) which means no view at all but it was more quiet then. So I preferred to look no view than sleep in the noise. But overall, would be staying there again, for sure.

The location is perfect... Close to everything. Booked the trip close to the booking date. Spent most of the time exploring Porto

The bed was extremely hard. The room layout was different (1 bed in the hallway inside the room) another 3 in the main room. A lot of foot traffic and cars passing the hotel room. Was woken up multiple times due to outside noise.

It was the second time I stayed at Girassol. The location is perfect, you are near to São Bento station and a lot of restaurants. The room is comfortable and the bathroom has a good size. Staff is always willing to help.

I had no problems.

The hotel was in a super central position, most of the important attractions were in a walking distance from the hotel. The room was confortable and very clean, the dining room where we had breakfast was really cute and tidy. All the staff was kind and welcoming, especially Armindo, that gave us really good suggestions about where to go and what to visit, but in general all of them were really helpful and ready to answer all our questions.

I will not give 10 star rating just because I think that for the breakfast there could have been a little bit more options. But apart from this detail everything else was perfect.

Great location. Comfy bed. Very clean. Friendly staff. The hotel is ideal for staying in Porto if you just need a room to sleep in. The hotel is near to all the main attractions with most in walking distance.

Perhaps more drawers in the room to store belongings and clothing.

Staff were all excellent and the location superb. Book a room at the front with a balcony on the street. 502 is the one to ask for.

Hotel had some faded grandeur about it. A loose screw here, a broken tile there. The addition of a handyman/women to the team could restore some of the lost glory.

You need to take the stairs until first floor then use elevators. Window is completely shut in room.

Excelente location near by train station and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My special thank you to Ivo! He went above and beyond to help me and make my stay in Porto very pleasant.

It was right for the price.
