The location is perfect - it's so close to the train station and in a very good location. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was very convenient having an elevator (the first floor is stairs though but it's spacious so you can take your time). The room was alright... not the best... we even got one that was supposedly remodeled and it was alright. It had a mini-fridge and was semi-spacious. The walls looked dirty and wasn't nice. The shower floor looked dirty too. The room was clean though, it just looked dirty and gross. The shower was nice and hot - I loved that it was a waterfall shower. It was powerful and nice. The cleaning staff were all very friendly. We had a balcony but I didn't use it. The room was facing the back and it was very quiet. So that was a plus because I read other hotels were very loud - ours was very quiet and we slept nice. The AC was strong and good. The room felt muggy though when you first walk in. The location is great - walking distance to a lot of major attractions. Lots of restaurants nearby. A souvenir shop right next to the hotel that sold water, snacks, etc. which was convenient since it was open late. Overall... it was alright. The location is great so you can't beat that, but not sure I'd stay here again. For the price, I expected the rooms to be nicer.

Although the room was clean, it looked really dirty (black on the walls, a little bit of mold in the shower, etc.) and the room was very basic. I expected more for the price.

I stayed here solo after walking Camino Portoguese. Excellent budget priced hotel in centre of Porto. Hotel, reception, room, bed, shower were all excellent and spotless. with tv and aircon. The hotel is a short walking distance to Porto Cathedral, Torre dos Clergios, Sao Bento Railway Station and a nice stretch of the legs to the Duoro River, Luis I Bridge and other attractions. The Metro at Trindade is 7 mins walk to take to airport. Shops, restaurants and other services are nearby even one of the busiest MacDonalds i've ever seen a few doors down.

Nothing comes to mind

location is good .

i was given room on 4th floor which was designed in old style and smelled a lot , when i complained to the lady (who wore specs) in reception she said sorry but we can’t do anything, i asked her to change my room for which she didn’t agree !! i told her that if she can’t change my room then she needs to refund my money, to which she also disagreed !!! At the end when i told her that you are doing cheating me and my husband can’t sleep in room full of smell , i will called the police . Then she got bit scared and gave us room on the 2nd floor . in short don’t take rooms on their 4th & 5th floor

The location is simply perfect. It takes 10 minutes to reach any attractions in the historical center of Porto by foot. There are multiple public transport stops available close by. There is the beautiful imperial mcdonalds behind the corner. Despite lots of tourists, it was quiet in the room. The bath had jacuzzi, the AC was quite useful and effective.

The room could've use some renovation or very deep and total cleaning. Especially the bathroom. Overall its clean, everywhere you normally would touch, but here and there you can see layers of mold, dust and common dirt. The minibar made some decent noize. The room does not provide slippers, but has soap and shower gel.

The hotel was perfectly located for exploring Porto, very clean and the staff were so helpful. The Brazilian guy (sorry we didn’t get his name!) on reception was very welcoming and friendly, he let us borrow a plug adapter because we’d lost ours. Our booking was last minute and the cheapest room but the bed was so comfy, there were extra pillows and the air con was great. We were so impressed.

The lift was quite noisy where our room was located and it would have been great to have a kettle and some tea bags.

Very central location of the city, extremely close to the train station and metro station, all main sights are in walking distance. The staff was very helpful and kind, room had very good size (bigger size), looked decent and modern, bathroom renovated, the elevator is a huge advantage. Bathroom was very clean (generally room and all was cleaned daily) and the room had even a balcony and little fridge. We were very satisfied.

The little disadvantage is that you need to take stairs to the first floor where there is the reception and only from there you take an elevator, for someone it can be a little trouble. Our room had a table, however, no chair, I had to ask for a chair at the reception, as besides bed there was no place to sit in the room. The chair was provided promptly. The view from the balcony was facing yard/space in between the buildings (not great view), however, it was not an issue for us at all.

The hotel is in a perfect location and just in few minutes walk to famous attractions. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, we asked for hot water for a tea to have in room and also for an iron, and they gladly provided us with these. The room didn’t have a nice city view from window, but since we almost were not present in a hotel and roaming the city, it really didn’t matter. Else, room had everything essential, and enough space.

We booked this hotel in a short notice because our flight was canceled and my husband wanted to stay in the old city center (as the previous accommodation). We knew the area, so I booked here, although I knew that there are construction works around (metro station in progress). We are the kind of people that don't have too many requirements from the accommodation during vacation because we like to visit a lot and explore. - The personnel is very friendly, they are at the reception 24/7 and the location of the hotel is perfect. - We asked for other things to visit and we got very good info from the girls. - The hotel is located close to everything you need to visit (by foot) and it has a lot of restaurants / shops / places to eat around. - Although the hotel is a bit outdated, we felt much better here than in the previous accommodation (which was a fully equipped apartment) due to the cozy space. - I had concerns about the noise from the constructions around, but if the window is closed it does not bother and the works did not happen during the evening/night so it was perfect. - We could also pay for late checkout: 10 euros for checkout at 14:30 (instead of 11:30) which was great because our flight was late in the afternoon and this was a big advantage. - A little fridge into the room would have been a blessing. But it's a hotel, so this is not a must have, given the fact that you have a lot of places to eat around the area. - Great value for the money.

We tried the breakfast for one day, but the offer is a little bit poor. All in one, if you are in a hurry and need to leave early you can have a standard breakfast with toast bread, butter, omelet, boiled eggs, yogurt, some fruits and local pastry, coffee, milk, tea, etc.

The central Porto location is great, near metro and train, food, drink, etc. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and I ended up leaving my suitcase with the hotel while I spent 7 days walking on the Camino Portuguese. The hotel is older, well cared for and the rooms are larger than a typical European hotel room.

While the hotel is very clear about the fact that their lobby is located up 27 steps, it still is a bit of a surprise and challenge to lug a 20 kg bag up.

The location was excellent. The aircon in the room was necessary. Bed was OK but not great, and breakfast simple (croissants, toasts, ham, cheese, yogurt, some fruits, cake, coffee, milk, tea).

The room was old, not modernised at all. Entrance to the hotel was on the first floor by stairs (there was an automated platform for people who can take stairs). Once on the first floor, only one small lift to make it to the rooms. Rooms were noisy, you could hear everything that was happening in the aisle aoutside your room.
