The room was great with a big balcony. The staff is kind and helpful. There are bus and metro stops nearby but you can also walk to the center in about 20 minutes and admire the tiled buildings on your way. :) Several shops and cafes nearby. It was a wonderful stay, I totally recommend.

Dust bunnies here and there in the corners, but nothing disturbing. Our room was facing the street so it was a little noisy, but after a day walking around the city we didn’t have any issues falling asleep.

A very clean hotel. I liked that there was an elevator and there also was a complimentary continental breakfast. The hotel is walking distance from the historic center. Its location is quiet and near restaurants, public transit and beautiful parks.

The staff and unbelievable friendly and hospitable. The lady at check in gave me an in depth guide to Porto. Would highly recommend. 5 minute to the Metro station or 30 mins walk into the city center

The rooms are abit dated, and could do with a refurbishment. But it is still confortable. Breakfast was okay but not much selection

A perfect place for the city holidays lovers. Great and helpful staff, all very nice and friendly, still professional. Simple, neat and clean rooms with all one may need, except for hairdryers. Even a scale was available to weigh the luggage before the flight :-). Everyday cleaning. The staff always discrete and respecting special wishes. Equipped with an elevator. Well located place, safe neighborhood, a few minute walk from the underground station or a 25 min one downtown. Quiet people living in the neighborhood, no noisemakers, which makes a big difference to the downtown hotels, with all its 24h busy streets around and a crowd of people, drunks included.

As for the others` comments: the breakfast is simple with no much choice, all fresh and provided permanently, though, not standing out all the breakfast time. The breakfast ladies are very nice and communicative for the breakfast assistance, even without English. Coffee could not be any better - considering the taste and smell of the Porto drinking water, it was good. True that the street is busy, please note, though, it is a city hotel, not a spa resort. The beds are hard, somehow pretty comfortable, though ;-).

Breakfast was basic but I did expect this. The room was comfortable, however the air con didn't work , I didn't raise this as an issue as i only really got ready and slept in the room. Check in was great and i left at 4 am, the staff who booked me the taxi were really helpful and the taxi was waiting for me at 3.50am.

A toaster at breakfast would have been good.

Workers in the hotel were nice. Parking is free and indoor which is a big advantage, plus location is very good, on the walkable distance from the center. Breakfast is basic but good.

Rooms could use some corrective maintenance. For example room doors don't shut unless you lift one side up.

Excellent location. Metro is few minutes away. Staff was very friendly, with great tips and quite helpful. It is really good value for the money.

Breakfast was very basic. Street is quite busy, so traffic is quite noisy. Pillow was pretty small.

I chose this hotel because it had a 24 hour reception desk and was fairly close to the train station. I arrived from the airport between 1am and 2am, and the gentleman on reception came outside and welcomed me, grabbed my heavy suitcase and took it inside. Within minutes, I was in a lift on my way to my room, with a remote control for the air conditioning and another for the television, plus my key card to the room. My bed was very firm, but very very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The shower spray, from the taps over the bath, had really good pressure, so I left the hotel feeling refreshed (there were a few free shower gel and soaps, fluffy towels, and plenty of toilet roll). The night before, I explained that I needed a taxi to get to the railway station in the morning. The gentleman on reception called me a taxi (to the train station Porto-Campanha ten minutes drive away) while I had a cup of tea in the dining area at 7.35am, and then he went outside with me, taking my heavy bag, to flag down the taxi as it arrived a few minutes later. All in all, a very warm welcome and pleasant stay with a seamless transition from taxi to hotel, hotel to taxi, and taxi to train station. Just a heads up, at first, I thought there were no pillows on the bed, but they were stored in the wardrobe.

Can't think of anything I didn't like.

Location, spaceous, convenient and private. The price was a big sell point for me but what I found when I got there was above my expectations.

The a/c remote had a breakdown and I was told it was my fault. The a/c remote never worked again. The bathroom shower curtain could use a good scrub and sun bath.

The staff was very warm and friendly. My room was always very clean (although the building does have some cockroaches, unfortunately). It was very quiet and I could rest very well.

The internet connection was at times so bad I couldn't even send an email. :( But I was probably just unlucky - I think my room was furthest from the router.
