Beautiful setting surrounded by vinyards. We had a family room in a separate building a couple of hundred yards from the hotel, so a short stroll for a very nice breakfast in the morning. Dinner is either a taxi ride to Pinhao/Sabrosa, or there is a restaurant at the end of the drive... no menu, which was a bit disconcerting, but the food was really top quality. Really liked the honesty bar near the pool, which was a great place to sit with a glass or two of the local wine. We were on a walking holiday, and the walks in the local area around Sabrosa, Alijo and Pinhoa are absolutely stunning. Daniel was effectively acting as host and he was brilliant.
All good

EVERYTHING! The property was beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. The pool was large and refreshing on a hot day. The location was great, The room had everything you need, and the on-site wine tour was phenomenal. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was so delicious plus the view from the restaurant was beautiful. The service was top-notch! I sat in the lobby one evening and someone handed me a glass of port wine for free and without asking, truly catering to my every need! The breakfast was great (sat out on the patio each morning in the sun) and the front desk booked everything we wanted (boat tour, wine tour, dinner in town, taxi transportation). They handled our every need and we barely had to do any of the planning. Thank you to the Casa de Pipas for a relaxing stay!
Zero regrets staying here. I liked everything!

Beautiful views across the vineyards, spacious rooms, excellent restaurant and charming lounge areas for guests. The breakfast was also good. I would recommend the hotel for a short relaxing stay.
Minor issues like there was some (quiet) maintenance work going on with little warning and our window could not open but no one warned us. There was little help regarding how best to get to the hotel without a car. The hotel did not have any umbrellas, which seemed odd given the changing weather conditions in the valley. It could also have been nice with a few more decorative efforts in the garden and around the pool - would make a big difference. We appreciated having a short free wine tour, however it was difficult to follow along with what the guide was saying and we only got a small taste of three wines that were the least interesting ones. I recommend just trying the wine pairing in the restaurant.

Stunning building. Stunning setting. Staff helpful and friendly. Just a great place. Good bfast. We were extremely well looked after at dinner, one or two of the management team happened to be present and they really added some extra sparkle and hospitality to the lovely food and great catering and service team.
initial welcome at dinner wasn’t the best, we felt rushed and a little pressured into making a rapid choice for food and then wine. We pointed out that staff knew the choices naturally but for those dining there for the first time they may need a moment! After that things calmed right down and we had a really lovely evening.

The property was lovely with nice, clean rooms and helpful staff. The breakfast was good as well. I loved the honor system set up for wine as you can grab a glass (or bottle) at your convenience. I also loved the common areas with the fireplaces, chess set, comfortable couches and chairs and incredible views of the vineyards. The hubby and I also enjoyed walking the grounds of this wonderful place. The garden is extensive, even in the colder months and there are kiwi, citrus and olive trees. We really enjoyed our stay here.
We stayed in December, which can be pretty cold and damp. Our room had central heating and a thick blanket, so it was toasty. The common areas and dining room also seemed to have central heating, however it still felt cold (probably due to the building's insulation). The couple times that the staff lit a fire in the fireplace helped, but be sure to bring extra sweaters.

Gorgeous location. Great pool and area. Great breakfast. The restaurant attached to the hotel had a phenomenal dinner and the views were incredbile. great staff at the restaurant and the tour of the vineyard was well done and interesting. I loved the fact that you could buy wine from a refrigerator by the glass or bottle, as well as other cold drinks, and write down your name and add it to your room tab. The prices were great as well.

Charming rural and traditional accommodation. Breakfast was nice but not as big of a spread as depicted. Dinner in restaurant was a surprise and delight! we’re from DC and have eaten our share of “high end” meals; they know what they are doing here. Wine is tasty.
Check in was awkward as we arrived at 6 pm and all doors were locked. Hard to find staff in evening around hotel. Grounds look pretty good but this place doesn’t have the “resort” feel shown in photos in person. A little mold on caulk and grout in our shower.

we stayed in the main building. we loved the ambience situated in the middle of the vineyard. it was peaceful and beautiful and had lots of places indoors and outdoors to relax. the receptionist was helpful to help us find a walking path we wanted to do the free wine tasting was generous and the tour informative. the restaurant for dinner the server was very friendly.
we have no complaints about the property. we were extremely disappointed in the wine pairing and moments menu. it was called 5 moments. although it tasted good the moments seemed like “seconds”. by that I mean there just wasn’t enough food and that was disappointing. each small moment of food served with a glass of wine just didn’t balance out. it tasted good and prepared nicely, just not enough. except for dessert which was a huge disappointment. it was not worth the cost. we tipped well for Portugal because our server was so nice.

The property was perfect, and the room was very clean and fresh. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, The views and the peace in the area was exactly what we were looking for. The swimming pool was very well kept and clean. Managed a dip in October as the weather was favourable. Given the opportunity I will definitely come again, if there will be vacancies as we wanted to spend a couple of days.
If you visit the property for longer than one night, you would need a car as there are no restaurants in walking distance apart from the one on the vinery,(which was delicious).

The vineyard and area where the hotel and restaurant are located is incredibly beautiful with great vistas, rows of vines everywhere, and beautiful architecture. We booked a family room that includes a loft bed area (the family rooms, I believe, are located in a satellite building that is about two-minute walk from the main building where the breakfast is served, incredible common areas over there, pool, etc). Bathroom was a good size and well equipped. There is another common area in this satellite building that is comfortable and includes a small fridge and microwave.
Wifi in the satellite building was much weaker than in the main building. Common area in the satellite building should include a wine opener, silverware, plates, etc. The town nearby has very few food options, so with a lack of kitchenettes and only one fine dining option on the premise, you may want to prepare to either drive farther away for dinner options or bring food that you can heat up in a microwave.
