Wow what a gorgeous property. Luana the check in person was so lovely and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble at this property. We were upgraded to a superior room which was nice. It was large, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large. They gave you complimentary hats and a tote bag which was a nice gesture. All the amenities were great. The pool area was very clean and pool towels were provided. The breakfast and dinner we had was beautiful and plentiful.

The excavator noise from an adjoining property, however it finished at 7:00pm and started again at 8:00am. This is only while they build a new property and had nothing to do with Octant Santiago.

we loved everything! - the hotel is ideally situated with respect to the town and castle, the views are extended to every room - the restaurant had amazing food and the staff is amazing - the shared living room was filled with people watching Benfica win the title - the premises where well maintained at the lower levels and it was amazing to be able to walk through the grass from the room to the pool - the room and bathroom had everything we needed - they were very accomodating for parents with young kids: 24h checking and late checkout up to 2pm at no extra costs!

- upper level garden seemed to have died, it's out of sight, but at this time of the year that could have been an amazing space

Nice ambience, a big plus that we were served a glass of wine as we were checking in, such a nice touch! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were cozy and had an amazing view over the town. Pool area was very relaxing. The food at restaurant was delicious! We had dinner there and breakfast, top notch! I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends

You can tell that the hotel is a bit old, especially in the bathrooms. The gym was not according to photos, so don’t have any high expectations on that part. All the employees were very polite but their training were lacking a bit (in terms of serving wine, and us not receiving our food at the same time). To be fair, there were a lot of ppl in the restaurant, but I think that a 4 star hotel should be able to serve wine correctly.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days to relax at the pool. When we arrived we found at there were construction works next to the pool (not at the hotel property). We were at bit disappointed, but the staff has done absolutely everything in their power to make our stay perfect. It’s very rare to find such excellent service and I would like to thank each and every member of the staff for all their efforts. You made our stay perfect and we will definitely come back!

Everything was perfect

Where do I start! Reception: super friendly and welcoming, our dog was fussed over, we were offered a complimentary drink on arrival, online check-in speeds the process, shown around the facilities, offered help with luggage, shown to our room and everything well explained. Hotel: although I rolled my eyes when we first drove up, because I'm not a fan of cubist blocks, the entrance has an interesting design and then you step inside - into another world. Absolutely lovely layout and decor and the thoughtfulness of everything on offer is outstanding and beautifully presented. A small gym, lovely pool area with towels supplied, comfy lounge, fun kids corner, lovely artisan products available. The Hotel is big on recycling and natural products and it shows in every aspect we encountered. Location: easy reach to Sines, Miróbriga and the coast for day-tripping. Lovely town right on you doorstep. Rooms: pretty standard hotel room in size, the decor neutral, calming and natural, the balconies and patios have a wonderful view of the town, castle and parish church. Beds and pillows very comfortable and bathrooms large with gorgeous citrus amenities provided. Coffee machine and kettle provided. The thoughtful touches continued with sunhats and a hessian shopping bag as personal gifts, a personalised welcome note and some cake waiting for us. Loved the paper bag in a wicker basket as a bin. Food: I was enchanted. The open kitchen concept is fabulous. Impeccable service and quality. The food at dinner was outstanding - don't miss it. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the lady serving us sounded like my mom "eat, eat!". PET FRIENDLY!!!!! Our dog was greeted like a returning friend, he was truly welcome in every single area of the hotel. He was given a Pet Kit consisting of a very comfortable bed, a blanket and face cloth, a rope chew toy, food and water bowl, some treats, and a full waste bag dispenser that clips on his collar.

This is an amazing resort style hotel with a really unique atmosphere that will appeal to couples travelling together as well as families. Thoughtful, well designed space and the most generous breakfast buffet experience complemented by well kept spacious grounds and a large swimming pool with more than enough loungers. Service is exceptional and you feel genuinely cared for by everyone in the hotel - it is unusual for the manager to take time greeting guests at dinner and breakfast - he seems to love what he is doing and this means you will have a great stay. Cannot recommend this hotel enough - perfect for a few days rest and relaxation.

Nothing this is an outstanding hotel

The breakfast selection was one of the best we have had staying in any type and standard of hotel anywhere in the world - absolutely exceptional. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely with great views from the balcony and the dinners were outstanding both in quality and service.

The town didn't have a great choice of restaurants - luckily the hotel offered a terrific service.

Great location, wonderful and professional staff. Attention to detail in rooms and restaurant. Amazing location on a hilltop overlooking Santiago do Caçem. Wonderful breakfasts and dinner choices. Great bed and linens, overall exceptional stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. We felt welcomed and well taken cared for. We hope to be back soon and also try the other Octant properties throughout Portugal. You can’t go wrong here!

The hotel offered very good service, beautiful lobby and restaurant area, and very comfortable rooms. There were several details that made our stay much more enjoyable, such as a complimentary welcome drink, cooking workshop, cheese and wine tasting in the room, hats and swimming pool bags to use during our stay, little play area for the children, and a little gift for our daughter. The open kitchen is particularly amazing to watch if you’re passionate about cooking. Some of the dishes in the restaurant menu were a bit too expensive for what you get, but there was a good range of price options, so overall it’s not prohibitive.

There was one small detail that was below the exceptional standard of everything else: the room had two joint single beds, which for a couple with a baby is less comfortable.

A lovely hotel set up on the hill overlooking Santiago with very thoughtful touches in the rooms such as a teddy for my son, sun hats, locally made treats and wine. The pool area is wonderful and super relaxing while the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The welcome cocktail was a great touch too and the hotel restaurant top quality with a great wine list.

The hotel is fabulous but the surrounding area isn’t as great as other parts of Portugal. The coastline is nicer elsewhere. We loved our two nights at the hotel and would recommend just chilling there for your stay… it’s a lovely oasis.
