Excellent breakfast, very nice staff and service, very nice pool. Nice SPA and very quiet surroundings. Its located near Ria Formosa a natural park, nice place to take Long walks (sand like) for exercise and relax. The hotel has also a museum, a chapel and an exclusive boat transfer service to the beach and town. nice options.

Some less good points of the stay were the presence of mosquitos at night. And especially for those staying in rooms close to the entertainment area, the noise of music and entertainers can also be a problem if you want to rest early. The accesses to the beaches around the hotel are heavily polluted with garbage, such as bottles, cans and plastics.... While the hotel may not be responsible for this pollution, it would be beneficial a regular clean. If I can add a suggestion, please add walkways to improve accessibility to beach.

The resort style of this property is perfect for families looking for hassle free vacation or quoth kids. The kids pool is great which together with daily kids activities make this a perfect choice. The hotel has a dedicated pier that takes you to the beach . You should consider having a all inclusive rate , as currently lunch is not available. A bar is open with good options, by buffet lunch with be better.

Only two things. Our stay had some hot days which attached a lot os bees. The hotel has very nice gardens but the floater species must be changed. Some days there were a lot of bees close To the kids pool. The second point was the fact that we had to ask 4 times to get a third towel ( since we were three) which is a vir annoying for a 4* hotel. Besides everything was great .

This is a 4 stars hotel but the staff deserves at least 6 stars. Thank you all for your kind attention and care. Excellent place with excellent staff. Clean, nice food and cosy rooms. Good relation price/quality. Loved the spa and pool area and the attention towards the children.

Single glassed windows are not appropriated in such a nice place. Double glassed should be a minimum of confort and would save a lot of energy both in winter and summer. I did not like the lack of NATURAL juicesin the breakfast buffet. We are in Algarve sorrounded by orange trees but in the buffet we only get industrial fruits nectar, not even juice. This is a very poor and unhealthy option.

Really impressive location, buildings and grounds, better than the official class of this hotel would suggest. Staff were friendly and tried their very best. Buffet breakfast and dinner generally very good.

Some staff training required. Some are very young and don’t really fully understand customer service. Others were excellent. Pool activities and loud music won’t be ton everyone’s taste but they were short in duration and evidently very enjoyable for those that took part.

Excellent hotel, beautiful location, immersed in green, gorgeous pool, wonderful breakfast (my son loved the ham and cheese omelet and kept ordering it day after day). Spacious rooms with a small patio, very quiet, cleaned daily. Free parking provided. Good wifi signal. There is a small church and a tuna museum in the compound, The indoor pool is small but lovely and warm. There was animation for kids and adults but we did not participate. The hotel is an excellent value for money.

There was nothing to dislike. We would go back happily!

The hotel is in a great setting and ideal for a relaxing few days break. The buffet breakfasts are especially good with a wide selection and short order chef cooking things like eggs and crepes. Other meals are good - which is important as there are not other places within walking distance. The outside pool is excellent, the inside one has a weird requirement to wear swimming caps which they will sell to you for 4€

Our room was invaded by ants. They moved us to a different room with no protest, but could have been much more proactive on that (i.e. we had to ask), and despite saying cleaning staff would be sent at once, they had not appear half an hour later. Needing swimming caps in the inside pool is weird these days. The spa bath (not a Jacuzzi but similar) was out of action.

the whole concept keeping and maintaining an old Tuna canning Farm including all its buildings and church. The location although remote is tranquil and peaceful in the heart of the nature reserve. The facilities Good size indoor pool and spa area although steam room was out of order when visited in May 2024 the out door pool area was great, clean and plenty of sun beds and entertainment was provided. Reception staff went above and beyond to help and very knowlageble about the area.

Our room although clean was dated the air con was so noisy we could not bare to have it on. The room was small and dark luckily we did not have to spend much time in it. I found the bed was very hard and uncomfortable although my partner slept very well. Breakfast needs some improvement

We enjoyed the hotel and its village feeling. We did not have time to visit the museum there, but just by walking around, we got the feeling of the restoration that took place there, reusing a tuna fishing workshop. The room was not very big, but we had a small terrace to rest late in the afternoon (take repellent!). The swimming pool, spa, and interior pool are all great. The breakfast is also good, but needs more frequent replenishment, as the hotel is very big and with many people there supplies disappear very fast.

Overall we liked everything.

If you enjoy a mildly remote natural location then this hotel may be for you (if not look elsewhere). If you want an alternative to the excellent hotel pool, then take the hotel run boat service which takes guests to the barrier island (5 mins) which has a tremendous beach with bars/restaurants or to a more remote location with just one. The walk into Tavira town takes 30 mins or 10 mins drive. The rooms were pleasant with either river or garden views, the staff were all great, very friendly & welcoming. Restaurant food has a la carte or buffet style options with excellent house wines. If you enjoy cycling then this hotel may be great spot for you.

If you take the walk into town be prepared for a 200m walk which has plenty of mosquitos ready to attack (just use some jungle gel). After the walk takes you away from the trees & foliage the mozzies are no longer an issue as you proceed through the salt pans (keep an eye out for flamingoes) as you make your way into town. There is a morning & afternoon shuttle bus for guests which connects with sister hotel in town. An additional evening option would be good but perhaps it would not be in the hotel restaurant's best interests.

The room was very nice with plenty space, great matress on a double bed (quite rare nowadays). Bathroom more than adequate. Breakfast was varied with plenty to choose from . The location is quite beautiful as it was an old fishing village transformed into a hotel. And it is in the middle of a bird santuary and salinas(the process of taking salt from the sea)

I cannot think of anything that we did not like. The wether was not at its best but it is autumn.
