The pool and staff! Cleanliness!

They didn’t put in canario lagoon hotel they put us it’s sister Ábitta boutique hotel due to construction at canario lagoon and we weren’t told until til arrived! Paid for balcony got none!

location was perfect, staff super friendly and helpful and breakfast was awesome!

pool next door was fine but rarely any towels available and when asked for at the desk not provided.

Cleaning staff was loud in the mornings

Staff was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive to requests. Great location. Great price for the area. The shower was spotless. Water was hot. Loved that the room had a table and chairs, and also an outdoor balcony. The provided breakfast was adequate. Swimming pool at the property next door looked very nice. And they offered luggage hold service.

The elevator and stairs were a little scary. The elevator was old and would stop a little above floor level. Had to be careful on the stairs - open the door too quickly going down and knock off someone coming up the stairs. Needed to stand 2 steps down to open the door when going up as there was no landing. Breakfast next door got very crowded, but there was a nice selection of breakfast items.

Room was super clean, sufficient very clean towels, very comfortable bed and great bedding which made it even more comfortable for sleep. We had access to a very nice swimming pool. Everything at breakfast was delicious.

The rooms, doorz and hallways kinda need a major update to make it.more modern perhaps. Once you go up to the floors, you'll notice its an older hotel... however they keep it very clean. The elevator is super small and kinda dark, again, you notice its an old elevator. This just to mention sething negative but ita nothinv to keep me away from coming back because the service and clean areas go above the "old structure"

I booked because the hotel offered a free breakfast. When we got there, we were informed that the business had been sold and now a resort fee, which included breakfast, would be added per day. We had to pick up breakfast from the Comfort Inn next door. Cold, poor breakfast.

The hotel is no lo longer called canario by the lagoon. Is on renovation so they let me stay in the hotel called Abittad...right next door wich are know the owner.. Is was just excellent. Everything is new and clean. There's a beautiful lady called ivette in front desk wich is so nice. Just so sweet trying to make your stay a beautiful experience. Thank you Ivette. The location is very close to many shops and restaurants of the Condado Beach and near where my friend was staying. I loved our mini-suite and outdoor terrace. The city bus to Viejo San Juan is conveniently located across the street (Ashford Avenue) and inexpensive way to go.

The bathroom had no electrical outlets. There was only one chair in the bedroom and it would have been nice if there was an additional one for my spouse. The windows were covered with specks of paint, which took away from our view of the neighborhood. The elevator was a bit tricky to enter or exit - since you it never opened flat to the floor you exited.

Staff extremely helpful, answered all of our questions regarding locations that we wanted to visit. Greeted us every morning upon departure and every evening after our return. Our rooms were cleaned and freshened up daily.

One of our rooms was facing a construction site. Obstructed view and we couldn’t use our balcony due to the debri from construction site. Not a deal breaker but would have enjoyed sitting on balcony at end of day as in previous visit.

This hotel is in an excellent location - close to the lagoon for walking and water sports, within walking distance to the beach, and close to Condado for restaurants, bars and shopping. Easy to get to by taxi or uber. Our room was super clean, bedding was soft and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included with our rate and included coffee, juices, milk, fresh waffles, cheese omelets, oatmeal, yogurt... We had access to the pool in the neighboring hotel but we didn't get a chance to use it. Lobby had a pool table and some free video games (Ms Pacman). Nice outside patio area. No frills but very reasonable rate compared to other hotels in the area. It was a perfect hotel for our post-cruise overnight.

There's a building being constructed next door so not a good view if your room is on that side of the hotel, and fairly early construction noise.
