High floor view, friendly atmosphere

During check in, it would be wonderful if the receptionist have automatically mention the outcome of my requests. I have to mention my high floor request else it may have to be changed if i was given a low floor. Then i have to ask for my late checkout request. Lastly, my 3rd request for extra 2 bath towels was not fulfilled when i entered the room. I have to call housekeeping to get them.

Newly renovated modern spacious room.

The property was good. We did have an issue on checkout. We booked through Bookings.Com . At the time we did have an issue re booking ,re the price advertised changed after confirming booking. We were told by Bookings help line that Bookings had no control over other charges the hotels charge. On looking at the fine print prior to booking we noted that all tax’s and others were included. A deposit of s$100 would be charged but fully refunded if no damage to room. The hotel on checkout had no knowledge of this charge and said it’s not our policy and we would have to refer it to the people who we booked through . Although we sorted it out with Bookings it was an unnecessary concern.

Hotel is next to 100am mall which is convenient with a variety of restaurants, bakeries, cafes and less than 5 minutes walk to Tanjong Pagar train station. Staff is prompt when answering call, taking orders for room dining - efficient service in serving and collecting back tray. Food is tasty and well prepared. For central business location, it is affordable priced, spacious room that is bright, with new modern interiors. There is separate toilet and bathroom and room is clean, well maintained, amenities replenished

reception check in can be improved - long queue formed during 12pm check out and 3pm check in as there were only 2 counters available mismatched selection of bed via booking.com - I was offered twin room for 2 single bed or 1 large/king bed and I selected 1 large bed, but when i arrived, reception claimed it was twin room with 2 beds and this happened on 2 occasions The room have poor soundproofing - I can hear footsteps and conversations along the corridor, outside my 13th room door which is locked When day blinds are drawn, anyone walking along the corridor across my room on the same floor can see me on my sofa, which I find invasive as I am now unable to enjoy the high floor vie

The space was immaculate. We could feel it's well taken care of and the atmosphere felt like home. It's all open with a good amount of sunlight during the day. And the lighting makes it cosy at night. Very suitable for work as well. The shower separate from toilet is a big plus and the shower feels fantastic. There's also a faucet in the room with filtered drinkable water. One of the best modern rooms I've ever stayed in!

The breakfast had very wide range of choice but we felt the quality of the products was a bit poor. The view from the window wasn't that special.

I really like how well-designed the room is. The design is simple, clean, and well-thought out. There is a water filter tap in the room. There is a separate toilet and shower, which is really nice. The shower water pressure is also very good. The beds are comfortable and the curtains are thick that it completely block out the sunlight in the morning. The room also feels spacious with it’s high ceiling. Breakfast is also good with a selection of local food. I also used the gym which is small but has a decent amount of cardio machines and weights. They also have towels and alkaline water in the gym. The hotel is also located about 5 mins from Tanjong Pagar MRT.

Nothing. I loved everything about my stay!

I particularly liked the convenient location and the quality of the amenities. Everything was modern, functional, and extremely clean, which made the experience very pleasant.

There were a few aspects that I found disappointing for a 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, there was no assistance with luggage, and guests were left to manage their own bags. I had two suitcases plus my trolley, and it felt a bit inconvenient to have to pull everything to the reception. It was also mentioned that there was a spa inside the hotel, but it’s not actually within the property, which made it less convenient. Facilities like a sauna or hammam were not as easily accessible as expected. Lastly, the breakfast, while very good, was relatively simple for a 5-star standard. That said, the overall experience was still pleasant.

Amara Singapore was outstanding! Judy and Oonah at the front desk made check-in seamless, upgrading both our rooms and surprising my dad with a 77th birthday cake—a truly thoughtful touch. Idil, the porter and doorman, was always welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were spotless, modern, and well-designed, with a separate sink, toilet, and shower—a smart convenience. The furnishings were stylish yet comfortable, and everything felt brand new. Breakfast was delicious, featuring a great selection of local dishes. The peaceful atmosphere made for a relaxing stay—no noisy hallways or disturbances. The location is perfect—right by Tanjong Pagar MRT, with great local food nearby and Chinatown and Marina Bay minutes away. Having stayed at multiple five-star hotels, including MBS, Amara stands out for its warm, personal service. Would absolutely stay again!

Honestly, not much to complain about. But, if you actually enjoy hearing screaming kids in the lobby and the hallways, then look elsewhere - this place is quiet and relaxing (maybe we just got lucky).

The renovations were great. The room was immaculate with some great features included in the room. The bed and sheets were comfortable. Location was a nice walk around China/Korean town.

A bit disappointed that even after arriving at 8pm (way past the checkin time) that our room was not available or ready. Waited another hour (by this time we were exhausted from our long flight) and room was available. Also, daughters were told to hop off the couches while waiting for our rooms. Just couldn’t quite understand that our room was given to someone else or not ready, even though we had booked and paid weeks in advance. Consolation was a late checkout the next day. A room upgrade would have been better.

This is my second time staying at Amara Hotel and the bed and pillows are so comfortable and with wide choices of TV programmes. Breakfast spreads are good too. Staff are friendly. Although our room telephone was not working but without any hesitation, the technicians arrived shortly to solve it. Fantastic job!

No complaint and no comment. So far so good. Keep up the good work. Will be in my recommendation to friends that looking for good hotel for staycation or holiday.

Breakfast was good, albeit everyday the same. Location is great with MRT less than 5 mins walk. Seating area is room was thoughtful.

The fire alarm went off twice during our one week stay. The first was in the afternoon and as we had no access to the lift at that time so have to stay in our room for close to 2 hours. We were staying at the 15th floor, so we did not make our way down the staircase. Another went off at 6am in the morning and it really made us jump off our bed.
